How would you do a boxed seat cushion with concave corners? Can’t figure out if I need to change the 5” boxed sides. Please help.
Im sorry. I dont really understand your question. If you post some pictures and your question on www.theupholsteryforum.com Im sure we could help you out.
Thank you very much for the very informative vídeo! ;-)
Would it be difficult to sew a french seam in this piece? It would look awesome in some projects :-)
Welcome!
You can defiantly do it but its not so easy. I would recommend doing some practice tests before going for it on a finished project. It will also be much easier if you do a fake french and don't back the seam.
Thanks! Yes, it seemed to be difficult... I have a hard time doing accurate french seams in tight places... thanks again, and keep up the good work! ;-)
So, I'm attempting a custom bench cover that has 1 inverted (inside) corner. Box corners. I was attempting to do it with the one piece of fabric, so it includes the seam allowance. Can this process be put on that corner and still work, or do I need to do a traditional 3 piece, bottom, sides, and top to make this work? You are the ONLY one who is talking about this tricky corner, at least in the sewing for home market. Thank you so much. Trying to make my simple process and AWFUL inside corner easier. It's ok if I have to use additional fabric for that corner, just wondering if there is a way to sew it in. Thanks for the feedback!
I actually think I figured it out. Will attempt it tomorrow. Thank you so much for your video! Helping me tons!
