Probably the best place to backpack in the Virginia/DC area. Certainly for the views. Glad to see you were on the receiving end of the full spectrum of the weather you can get up--I was in a blizzard in the summer once...
It’s funny to me that out of all the gear I have the kit bag is the one that people comment on the most haha. Definitely didn’t expect that one. Thanks for watching!

Greetings from a fellow Buckeye! My wife and I have hiked a lot of the same areas you guys have. Great video. Heading to Dolly Sods in a couple weekends. Would you mind sharing your route? We are looking at 3 days, 2 nights and would like to hit some of your camping sites. Happy Trails!!
Sure, do you have AllTrails? I could probably dig up the map and tell you trail by trail which route I took but that would get a bit hairy at the intersections. Let me know how you’d like to proceed and thanks for watching!
@@Bacon_N_Backpacking I do have All Trails and a topo map. I don't want to take much of your time. If you list the trail names, I can figure it out. Thank you so much!!

Very nice video. I know the Sods like the back of my hand. Nice job. Tell Allison to cinch up her bottom straps on her pack otherwise she looks like a newbie, sorry.

Yeah the Dolly Sods can be “variable” lol. One of my favorite places to backpack, but I fear for the future with the high amount of overuse there.
Love this video! And it’s so cool to see girls hiking!
Thanks for watching! Sara is probably a better hiker than I am lol
Definitely my favorite trip yet
Thanks for tagging along adventure bae
This has been on my list for years! Looks like a great trip!
It’s amazing, I’d highly recommend! Thanks for watching!
Enjoyed watching your adventure! My favorite area to backpack. Great camera work.
Glad you liked it, thanks for watching!
Great trip, thanks for sharing.
It was awesome! Thanks for watching!
Another nice video, im surprised you don't have more subscribers.
Still a pretty new channel so I think it’s going okay. I appreciate the kind words and thanks for watching!
I was there years ago and had a great but challenging time due to the poor trail markers. Good thing we had a GPS... Looking forward to part 2.
Yeah GPS is almost a necessity in the sods. Loved the trip though, place is awesome.
Thank you for sharing. I also like to rock the HPG kit bag for "incidentals".

Yes we did, it’s in one of the two videos forget which one. Thanks for watching!
@@Bacon_N_Backpacking Thx for the speedy reply. Give my channel a look if you ever need some more hammock/backpacking indulgence

Could you share your route with me as well?

It was at the end of May
What month were you there?
End of May
Great video, brother. Setup a Patreon. Your subscribers can become monthly donators to finance more trips and content.
I’ll set up a Patreon at some point probably. Just don’t like asking people for money lol. Thanks for watching dude.

Where is the classic view? This trip is the only time I’ve ever been out there. I just wanted to climb on top of it lol
