This back routine has been a game changer for me. After many years of gymnastics and yoga workouts my posture was still not great, and I struggled to maintain upper back flexibility. This approach focuses on developing strength and flexibility simultaneously, without forcing the flexibility. It has actually changed the way I stand, even when relaxed. Also, the tips to "keep your elbows back!" was SO helpful! It never occurred to me before but that was partly what was limiting my range of motion. This is now part of my regular routine. Thank you!!

This was a great back workout! I am doing the pas de quatre from La Bayadere as part of a show and all the attitudes are killing me (especially because I haven't been dancing very frequently in college). So good. I injured my right shoulder when trying yoga and your workout has made me realize the problem lies in my weak back. I did most of the exercises sitting in butterfly, by the way. It's too early on a Sunday morning to stand.

I'm able to a pirouette and a double, but balance is hard for me. Do you have any tips on balance and posture?

Could you do a massage with a ball like you did, but for the back? Does that even make sense? Or am I making things up? xd
Hi Beatriz, ahah yes it makes perfect sense! I usually tend to just lie on the ball, or gentle roll on a foam roller( if you have one). Try to find the sore spots and place your ball there, then just breath until you feel it relaxing. It's quite painful sometimes but as soon as you relax it's very pleasant ! Hope this helps! Jacqueline i'm very pleased to hear this is helping out! I know lots of attitude are a killer for your back. That dance is very much about control, make sure you take a bit of time working on your abdominals which will help out taking away a bit of strain from the back. Hope the shows go well! Chookas!
