  • So this is a very old video of me doing a crepe beard (cringe) , however I still use this method to this day! You can overlay instead but I just find its my preference to do it this way :)
    Using crepe hair and mastix glue, you can create a theatrical beard with ease and quickness!

    Did you mix the hair beforehand or did you do it just as you were it applying it? Trying to do a beard involving 3 separate colours and it's a pain.

    • @xamyxOxrosex
      @xamyxOxrosex  5 років тому

      This particular one was premixed however if you want to mix you can buy a hair drawing mat and you pull the different hair sections through it to keep mixing them :)

    Heyo! For a medium-dark brown character (sirius black) what crepe do you recommend? Do you still recommend thefacepaintingshop? Thankssss :)

      Hi apologies for a late reply, I would recommend grimas more as I don't think facepaintingshop do the crepe hair anymore, grimas are very reliable that's where I get most of mine and they do a good range of colours, I think since he has dark brown hair I would go for the dark brown shade, however in some images it looks like a mid brown because of the camera lighting, so it depends what your natural hair/wig looks like :)

    Hi..i wanna ask:
    01. Have u tried to pull out the hair when it already stick?are they keep still in place strongly?
    02. Have u tried u take a shower after that? (off course without rubbing hard with soap), do all the hair still keep stick on ur face?
    Thanks dear

    • @xamyxOxrosex
      @xamyxOxrosex  3 роки тому +1

      You can pull it out but I don't advise removing it that way with out an oil based cleanser/remover and you can get it wet and it will stay if you're not rubbing it or anything, you could use prosaide adhesive for a better hold (same application method, wait till a bit tacky and press on)

      Amy Biddulph So I’m trying to cosplay Negan from The Walking Dead and he has a beard that is somewhat black in color and then white as well because he’s an older gentleman and he has some hair going white what do you recommend using because I’ve seen some dark gray but I don’t know if that has white or if I should mix the black and white together for his beard

    • @xamyxOxrosex
      @xamyxOxrosex  5 років тому +1

      @@nw1994 nice! What I would advise is to use black and get some white face paint and gently stroke it in on the hairs once you have it laid down, it's a trick they use on stage to age all hair even eyelashes and brows too, it's cheaper that way and it's really effective and easy, I would have a practice on a little test bit first just so you can get a feel for how much you're applying :)

    Could this be applied to lace to make a reusable beard?

    • @xamyxOxrosex
      @xamyxOxrosex  3 роки тому

      The only way I could see this working is if you used postiche lace, then cut it to the shape of your face for a template and then layer the hair on? I've never done it myself before so I can't guarantee anything I'm afraid. What I could recommends is maybe learning the technique of postiche it's basically just crocheting but with hair, it takes a lot of patience and time but you will have a reusable piece and it will look super realistic! I hope this helps in some way :)
