*You attract what you put out. Keep your standards high and the right person will come to meet those standards.*
That's bad advice, yeah you do attract what you put out in terms of energy so if you're positive then positive people will be attracted to you and people will have positive feelings around you and vice versa. But having high standards is one of the biggest problems in dating today. Might be good advice for guys but it is terrible for girls. A few reasons why this is the case. Firstly because of hookup culture, there are a lot of "hoes" that are easy to get with for a one night stand and therefore if a girl puts her standards too high then instead of the guys improving themselves or chasing the girl like they used to do a guy will just give up and go for a hoe because most the time sex is one of the biggest things for a guy (obviously not the only thing but a big part). Also, most girls now have their dating standards way too high and they want this and that and in comparison, they themselves are bringing nothing to the table which ends in either not being in a relationship or being in a shot one when the guy gets over her looks and actually sees you for who you are. Being with a guy who is of higher value than you in the dating scene just means he is more likely to look down on you and disrespect you because he knows he has a lot of other options and doesnt value you. If you have you standards higher than you then the likelyhood of attracting someone who is actually that standard is pretty low let alone staying with them and therefore you have 2 other options. You are left with "pathetic" guys who have low self-esteem (like catcallers and people from india in the dm's) and most girls wont like a guy who throws himeslf pathetically at her. The other option is an "asswhole" who initially looks like he meets the standards because girls are attracted to assholes but you soon find out his true nature.

@@AlienRider123 please don't give false information. I had my standards EXTREMELY high and I was told I need to lower them if I expected to ever get a man. The same friend who told me that ended up getting a boyfriend after I married my husband, who had everything I needed and wanted in a man +more. If I had settled, I wouldn't have an amazing husband currently. The part I do agree with is that women have high standards but don't have anything to bring to the table. Realistically it's strange to want a man who looks like a Ken doll when you (not you personally) look like a Humpty Dumpty. You can attract a millionaire while you're making minimum wage, but the chances are slim to none really. My advice is just work on becoming a better you and keep your high standards. If a guy feels like it's not worth being with you because sex is so easy to get, HES NOT THE ONE FOR YOU! there are 7 billion people on this Earth and you're the prize so don't feel bad when someone didn't see your value Because as long as you know you're worthy, that's all that matters. Take it from a woman who had very high standards and is currently Married to an amazing man. I did have to work on myself though.

I grew up with my dad out of the house..but he was a part of my life. He instill early in me that I was the prize. I never saw him disrespect a woman verbally or physically..ever..but he was very unfaithful and we all know what that can do to a woman. I have dated decent guys..some that may have been one to settle down with but I think the energy I was putting out was hard for them to keep up with..ive had my share of pain from relationships..I know it wasn't all of my fault for sure but because my dad did not teach me the parts that a woman needed to do besides thinking that my man would be like the fairytale at all times i was disappointed a lot and gave up easily on guys.
It's taken me time to realize that I deserve a good man.

You can tell by her tears that her non-existent relationship with her father is really hurting her. She's going to have to heal from this whether it's by talking to her father with an open mind to try to mend the relationship or even if she doesn't mend it she's going to have to find her inner strength to move forward. She'll never know if she doesn't at least try. It will keep eating away at her until she does something. She has to find her peace. I pray the best for her!

Yeah, I also have problems with my parents and my advice to her would be to try to forget about it and blank it out of her mind. Put it right at the back of her head. Seeming as she actually brought it up shows she hasn't done this and it shows she is limiting herself by it (e.g. I can't find a good relationship because of my dad but its that mindset that is stopping you from finding one) Its like when you are not confident it is mostly because you think and identify yourself as not confident so you need to fake it to make it. She also needs to be very careful about trying to play the victim card and take victim points from what your dad did to you because believe me it is very easy to do that without even knowing which then destroys your mindset.
@@AlienRider123 The only thing about suppressing things is that it has a way of coming out in different ways... such as anger, depression or even toxic relationships. There are times when situations have to be faced or confronted to move forward in a healthy manner. Not to say that it's easy to deal with situations that may have hurt you but sometimes it has to be done for you and not them, so that you can have peace. If not, it can definitely hinder a person with their future relationships.
@@honestd41 I don't know how bad her situation was but I found that just by facing these things it put me in such a bad mental state which compleatly destroyed my life as it made me push everyone away and I become depressed, anxious and suicidal so I didn't do anything but lay in my bed hating myself with very low self esteem. By facing it it didn't make it go away over time it just made it worse. Its like when something terrable happens in the news like a mass shooting you cant actually do anything about it so its better that you suppress it rather than let out your anger and hurt people or damage property and its better that it doesnt ruin your day or week because you dwell on it for too long. I know I felt a lot better and happier in life when I managed to almost fully suppress it, Also by suppressing it I managed to get rid of the ptsd flashbacks that I had for years. It might not work for her because everything is situational based but it worked for me.

It’s so funny but puts a huge smile on my face, I’m pregnant with my daughter. There was no relationship with her dad, but since I found out I was pregnant, I have said that she might not be wanted by her dad. She was wanted by me, and also God waited till now to give me another baby, I feel her energy, I feel that she will make a positive impact on this world. She was meant to be brought into this world and with someone else saying the same thing, just confirmed my feeling about my baby girl.

No, it doesn't work like that actually. Because you could be giving out of insecurities, and in insecurity you can choose the wrong person to give to. It starts with the mentality, with the relationship you have with yourself. When that is good, you will do good and still respect yourself.

Are you telling me she deserves better in life than a woman that's average looking or less than average? That's not fair. This poor girl. Mec can sense low self esteem energy and desperation. Some women never encounter liars and cheaters for long because they not afraid to cut their losses and go. Too many women agraid of being alone and so they entertain time wasters. Lack of boundaries is also a problem. Until women learn to set standards and wait until marriage for sex. Agreed with everything Steve just said. Also, to put things in perspective, happiness cannot be sought from a living soul which has never received nor shown what the true meaning of happiness is all about. Let us not just focus on the outward appearance and be completely swayed. For each person seeking happiness word of advice, " You may not know all your needs but be sure you know what you do not want". Take some time out to really know what makes you want to get up and live each day like it's your last. Make sure that when your ready to share your space with someone, they're taking the same positive energy to you that you emit.
