I have this set (it was a Christmas gift) and recently I received the curl ear cat set for my 60th birthday. I display them together in one scene. It looks so elegant and nice!

I loved your review of this set, I found it really helpful to see the pieces compared to their counterparts from other sets, I hadn't realised so many were repeated! It's definitely still on my wishlist though as I love the colours and have a soft spot for Lauderee 😂

Agree, it’s beautiful. The counter has always been a favorite of mine so it’s nice to have this light green version, too. The desserts are so colorful and the plates and teacups so elegant. Wondering if price will creep down if they are not selling enough at current price point.

Très jolie boîte que j’ai également dans ma collection, mais comme vous le dites, je ne l’ai pas encore ouverte car c’est vraiment un set beaucoup trop raffiné. Vivant, à côté de Paris, je fréquente souvent lachocolaterie Laduree qui est une pâtisserie très élégante et le lapin chocolat porte l’ensemble des serveuses de cette chocolaterie. J’adore 🥰👍

I was happy to see the comparison to the other sets as I can't afford this beauty. I painted one of the candy carts the Laduree green and made my own boxes and bags and stickers. It looks pretty good. But I hope I can get a real set some day. Thanks for your review.

Isn’t it a shame that they put such a ridiculous price on this item?! Even if they cut the price in half, they’d still make a large profit and more people would consider splurging on the set so they would sell more. I think it’s great that you painted a candy cart and made your own accessories. It’s very rewarding to do so, and I bet it looks great. Wish I could see your work. This set is adorable! 🥰I love the color scheme. The garden set it borrows from is really nice too. I wouldn't mind having either. I do have the tea and treats set, but I don't mind the reused items. Cute shop setup at the end. The flooring is perfect.

Thanks! I guess a lot of the critter sets are ultimately rehashes of past furniture and accessory molds. I enjoy having the different variations, too. I have to stop myself sometimes from purchasing a huge new set just to get a furniture or accessory piece in a different color, because it’s never ending.

Thank you for this video! My husband has purchased this set for me for Christmas. It is sitting in our guest room. I was also afraid to open it but I wanted to make sure all the pieces were there. It really does feel so delicate and special. I can't wait to set mine up.

The price is very annoying but I would not be surprised to see many of the same accessories in this set show up in future sets with different colors - like the pastry counter in pink or blue, etc. the critter treats are addicting - I think the village cake shop still “takes the cake” when it comes to critter desserts. 🥮🧁

I know, the price is absurd and makes me sad for many fans of the brand. If they wanted to market it as an exclusive collectors item, they could have priced it at $80. Many more people would have bought it. But close to 200 is not worth it at all when most of the items are same mold, different color. If you happen to like the table and chairs, keep an eye out for Rose Garden Tea Party set from a few years ago. Very similar table (nicer in my opinion). Same exact chairs. However, it is expensive now, too. Cheapest I found on eBay today is $69.88.

That set was sold on the official Sylvanian website in Japan by lottery for the year I didn't win, so I bought it at a premium price of 170 dollars, but it's really beautiful

Wow, I didn’t know it was part of a lottery. I don’t think I like the lottery idea, ha ha, I’d rather it be available to everyone. Wish the US had easier access to new Sylvanians. It is beautiful so I have no regrets buying it and glad you have it, too!

this set is so pretty but i cant help but feel disappointed in how lazy they are with the repeats in accessories. i feel like if theyre going to charge that much for a set, they should at least put the effort in to make it unique

I completely agree with you. The price is obscene giving the repeats and I wish it was at a more accessible price point. Like even $80 would be very expensive but more people would be willing to splurge and buy.

The lowest price I’ve seen so far is from seller Kobee Japan. Currently, it is in $130s. I had gotten mine for a bit lower. It is very expensive but even when it first came out for pre-order, it was never lower than $100. Price then increased shortly after. I’m hoping price will creep down a bit if too many don’t sell.

The cheapest I saw when it first came out in Japan to buy from USA was $100. I missed out at that time because I thought it too expensive. But then price kept going up, ugh. I got it for about $130 and I’m embarrassed to even say I paid that much. Now the price is even worse! Such a shame. Try to hold out to see if you can catch it for under $150 or $140 - still too expensive so only if you really want it. Maybe if they don’t sell enough at the current high price there is hope for price to come down a bit? I don’t know. Good luck.

@@SylvanianWorld thanks for your quick reply……in Canadian dollars lowest I’ve found is $250ish On EBay. Ugh. That hurts. I’ll wait it out a bit and see if I’m I crazy enough to pay that? We do have a lauderee in major city an hour away and it’s very lovely. I gift friends macrons \tea from there. They’re delicious.
