- This is Stu Hamm performing his original "Flow My Tears" at Guitar Player Live 2009 in Livermore, CA. Stu intros the song with a story about how being short on cash was a good thing because, somehow, Joe Satriani ended up accompanying him in the studio version of this song.
One of the most beautiful bass solo pieces around (in my humble opinion).
Great bass player. If you have a chance to see him, do it.
Absolute brilliance in every way. No looper, no effects, just the instrument and the music. Thank you, Stu.
I'm in awe, stunning performance!
I have loved this song ever since I bought the Radio Free Albemuth album in 1988. The song is so haunting and meditative. :)
I bought around '92 only because it was the title of my favorite author's book. Figured if he was a Philip K Dick fan it was worth a listen.
Ended up going back to the record store and bought the other 2 they had, King of Sleep and The Urge.
What a absolute Legend!!! “Pop slap and tap” VHS changed my life!! Hearing “flow my tears” in 1999 was jaw dropping for me! Was blessed enough to meet Stu at a G3 show around 03 and he was the nicest guy!
brings back some 1991 memories for me.
awesome stuff
Es una bestia, que limpieza y que forma de tirar el taping
Saw him in San Rafael in the King's of Sleep tour in the 1990s and this was his 1st tune.
Excellent - true artist and one of the most creative bass pieces. Mr. Groove!
im flagging this as inapproprate because that bass is well too sexy
Was not expecting the background vox at 4:00 !! neat
Same! And he did it great!
Just when I thought it couldn't get any harder.
I love existential neurosis in post modern society!
Ya, that’s a mouthful! Followed rapidly by “Thank you” 😆
Impresionante,amigo
Nero singing Rom is burning
Yeeessss
love this song...wish i was there
Stu is a wonder on his own, but why doesn't he have any musicians or backing track at all?
This performance, as I recalled, was billed as a bass clinic. Thus no backing tracks or other musicians. And I have to say, he filled the time like a pro: just a bass, an amp and mic.

That's what I call a quick answer. Thanks.
My go-to riff when i want to impress the three people standing in the front row....
Lol you're trying to say you're better then stu hamm. yeah since no one can be behind whom ever is recording lol
Pays to be broke
Insert pun somewhere 👍
Play something we can dance to.
Great bassist but a weird singer.
Beautiful composition, HORRIBLE singing!! C'mon Stu, I had tears in my ears by the end. XD
Boring....you want to creat melody, get a piano!
but the piano sounds totally different....
9 years later and your mark you left here is a shit stain
@AlMeshkhas good thing you was somewhere else then,, else the recording would've been ruined,, >_>
