    Any idea when that 5" DSMC3 monitor is coming out for the Komodo-X!? Ballpark?

    What were the Komodo audio limitations vs the Komodo x when using the new deityTheos set up ? Or any sound set up ?

    Very nice and thanks for sharing.
    It could be cool to add a SAI between the camera and the battery to hot swap and don’t let the camera and monitor restart

    Shocker... you have the New X. And all it's rigging... shocker :D
    I think the RED/Canon mix is a safe bet for a long time. Good stuff.

    Do you think the monitor worth it or a second good option you would recommend?

    Great content s as always, Carlos...thanks. I have concerns about the getting the DSMC3 RED Touch Monitor as I've been seeing a lot of negative post about cable issues. You mentioned owning the Cine 7. Would you recommend it for use with the Komodo X?

    • @carlosq00
      @carlosq00  10 місяців тому

      the Cine7 and Indie7 both work great with KOMODO X and are just as good with the RED Control license. The only issue for me and why I don't use them on this camera is because of the three cables. SDI, Power, and RED Control cables.

      @ancilm 10 місяців тому

      Appreciate your response. Didn't realize it was 3 cables. I may have to reconsider.

    Hey carlos ive looking everywhere for this answer with the small HD cine 7 can you connect it to the v raptor x by 9pin ext on the raptor x to the cin7 2pin locking connector or do you need to connect it through SDi

    • @carlosq00
      @carlosq00  3 місяці тому +1

      the 9pin is for RED control only so you have to use the SDI to connect

      @@carlosq00 thanks so much for answering my last question is if the 9pin is occupied, what am I supposed to do for time code since the 9 pin ext is also used for time code

    Love your channel! With the RED Komodoo X have you had any issues and Canon RF lens? Issue I have been having is with the Red Komodo X and Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Lens. The aperture values are getting stuck and not reading correctly. The real problem in terms of useability is the lens is losing light as it zooms out even though they are constant aperture lenses. The exposer seems to get darker then it should with the aperture jumping or getting stuck. I have already toggle on the RF Iris Compensation and although it seems to help it still happens. Thanks on any advice! Cheers

    So to confirm (stupid question but before I buy) the DSMC3 monitor works no problem on the KX? And you can run it with or without the new handle? Also confirming it gets power directly from the battery? No more cables? No more SDI worries? Just power it up and go?

    • @carlosq00
      @carlosq00  Рік тому +1

      Yes, You can run the DSMC3 Monitor without the top handle. Yes, the power to the monitor is provided by the camera body. Confirmed, No More Cables, No Need to use the SDI port to get a feed into the monitor. Simply power up the camera and GO!

      @@carlosq00 do you find it to be bright enough? I’m coming from the Shinobi on the first Komodo. Sorry for the 20 questions, just trying to get a flavor of the monitor situation before throwing down $2800. Thanks, Carlos.

    Thanks Carlos, I need that battery so far I've been getting a lil over an hour and 15 min which is not bad on my 49wh batteries on the Komodo X but need a lil more I wonder how much more you would get from the 150s

      I went with the bigger batteries 🔋 because of the monitor and phantom power that I’m always using.

      in most situations yes, if the sun is hitting it straight on no, it could use a hood.
