Love the “memories” of this great park! Remember my mother taking my brothers & sisters here in the ‘60’s and how cool it was there, even on the hottest days of summer, with all the trees, there was always a breeze! The same with Riverside Park( another fond memory)! We took our 3 sons there in the late 70’s & 80’s( to both parks, as well)! Summer wouldn’t have been summer without going to Mountain Park, which thankfully cost less money than Riverside Park, for at the time, there was five of us, for expensive for my mom( later seven of us when she had remarried ). Every summer we were brought to Mountain Park, Riverside Park, Ocean Beach in New London, Ct. & picnics at Skinner Mt. in South Hadley, Ma. & Purgatory Chasm in Ma! Summers were such fun with my mom & Nana and I did the same with our own sons, taking them everywhere but Mountain Park will forever hold the fondest memories. We even set up once, when I was married, in the 70’s, at a flea mkt they ran once on a weekend! Out three sons just loved it! My husband told me stories of going to the ballroom for dances & playing records there probably in the 50’s! Thank-you for a great video & the wonderful memories it brings back to us all! 🎪🎢🎠🎡🏰🎪🎢🎠🎡🏰🎪
First Ride you see entering is the Butterfly ride some idiot making a delivery parked his truck next to it next thing you know 2 girls were screaming cause they hit the side of the truck luckily the Operator stopped the ride quick 😲

Only but sweet sweet memories. Every summer my dad would drive us there all 6 kids in the big station wagon. Amazing time....Awesome Dad.
