👏👏👏 great find !! 🙏🙋🏻
That’s a great deal!!
Bargain🎉🎉🎉
Wow!
Great deal 👌
Thanks Brooke...a quick tip: shower caps from the Dollar Tree make a great "lid" when raising dough :).
2 pounds of rice, 1 pound lentils, 20oz of pasta and 1 can cherry pie filling. That was my 5$ pantry stock up for this week.
Good job !
You're not bad at bread anymore Brooke!! I'm so proud of you!!
Then flowers on your table in your yard are called Kalenchoe and they’re beauties and very very hearty plants!!! Love them! Great choice Brooke!❤
One thing I, like about you is you think of your family first. And they never go hungery.😊
You are the sweetest, coolest, most chill Aunt. 😊❤
I loved seeing your beautiful house, the yard and chickens and the kids! Wow! Blessed life!💞💞
Those homemade hot pockets look great. They would make a good, quick lunch for my husband when he comes in from the field. They would probably work for breakfast too.
Breakfast ones can be an absolutely great idea, scrambled eggs with any other filling, bacon, ham, sausage, cheese, it’s pretty much endless, thanks for the idea
Like seeing your garden and chickens ....You might want to have a series on food from your garden .... Like how you roll your crust edges reminds me of the PASTIE parties I use to have with my sister in law when we made them for the hunters.
Your back yard is beautiful! Reminds me so much of the yard I grew up in in the Midwest
Your boys are extraordinary they're just super kids
My late husband always made a mound for the cucumbers and squash so the water would go deep into the soil
I think I’m going to be making some bacon cheeseburger hot pockets with this recipe, and then maybe I’ll have it where I make the dough and then the kids can make their own version and put whatever they want in them, that could turn out pretty interesting lol You are very inspirational and I am very excited to say that I am talking to my neighborhood about starting a blessing box in my community (I live in a large section of a town called the “I” section because every name of every street starts with the letter I) I am lucky enough to live on the corner of a main road and the beginning of our neighborhood, so it is the perfect place to put one. I looked it up and there are none anywhere near me, yes, there are food pantries, but they are only open on certain days/hours because of the lack of volunteers. I am going to use a lot of your ideas of the shelf stable meal kits with recipes on the bags, and also just random easy items and ask the Neighborhood that I am in to contribute, we are going to purchase a large waterproof stand up container for outside (have the neighborhood kids decorate the outside to let everyone know it’s a blessing box) and fill it as often as we can, thank you for all of your inspiration, and keeping so positive, and happy and kind during the craziness that this world is going through.
Yummm
Those hot pockets look fantastic, will definitely be making those and the pizza ones!
On another note please remember all those that gave their lives this memorial day so that we can be with family this weekend. Thank you Dusty for your service it is greatly appreciated!
I would much rather have homemade hot pockets than the store bought ones any day!!👍
You can't beat fresh bread
Those hot pockets were huge and looked delish !!!
Love the hot pockets.🌍👍🌍🍀🌍💓🌍✌️🌍😋🌍
Bbq sauce, popcorn, grape jelly and peanut butter were my pantry stockup this week. ❤❤❤❤❤ Thanks for sharing, Brooke.
I have a ton of food stocked up from 3 years of stocking. So I just buy what I use up. EX. I used up a can of corn and can of Manwhich sauce. So on the list they went. unless i see an amazing sale, i dont just buy anymore. I have so much saved already.
This look so good! I used to work where the actual Hot Pockets were made. Yours look way better!
❤❤❤loved seeing the chickens and their coop. T hff anks for sharing.
I love that you are so happy and singing while you’re cooking 💜
Dusty packin'! ❤🎉 Gotta have the good guys lookin' out. Love it! 😊
Kylen - you crack me up! These look lovely Brooke - chicken and mushroom in white sauce would be a nice filling x
That idea sounds delicious, I may have to try that one very soon
Im with Kylen on this one, pizza, pizza, pizza!
Egg wash before they go in the oven and it makes a beautiful browned crispy crust! Those babies look filling!
I made empanadas with hamburger meat and potatoes (which is basically a hot pocket) and for the crust I used the pizza crust in the pouch you just add water to. They turned out great.
How about doing a show on making seasonings and sauces? Like BBQ sauce, taco seasoning or pumpkin pie spice. This would be cheeper and maybe taste better than high priced store bought. Just a thought to flavor up our meals. Thanks.
If you put cabbage, hamburger and onion, it is a bierrock! My aunt would also put leftover turkey with a little gravy and peas from Thanksgiving as filling. Serve with more gravy.
I keep wanting to make hotpocket to put in the freezer but get so busy with everything else. Really need to get this done for summer.
Brooke, your boys are really personable.
When my kids were younger I made them and put in the freezer as well, I worked and didn’t have time to make the dough from scratch so I bought frozen bread dough and it worked great. I forgot about doing that. Will have to make some now we watch our grandkids in the summer all 5 every day. Thanks for j Jogging my mind. 😂
Your garden looks great 👍
Happy Memorial Day weekend Southern family, and add-oh’s (your adorable nieces). Tell Hattie that was an amazing ballet jump!! I had my 5yro granddaughter from Wednesday early evening to yesterday early evening. I love it when she asks to come spend the night! It’s a recent development so I’m in heaven when she’s here. I did watch her for the first 5 years but at her house.
Your garden and all your flowers are looking amazing! I live in an apartment with no way to do even balcony growing so I live vicariously through you and others.
Thank you for always being real. Real life isn’t perfect but we love it, and we love you and your family.
Happy Memorial Day!! Thank you so much!!
I agree store bought hot pockets are small.
I make mini meatballs and freeze them. Then make them into mozzarella marinara meatball hotpockets i call them MMM pockets. Ham and cheese sounds yummy too
This week's pantry stock up: canned tuna, canned fruit, canned veggies, box of Velveeta cheese and a box of pasta
I’ve been making bread for 40 years (I’m telling my age😂) and I’ve used a bread machine to mix the dough over the last 25 years. It’s a game changer to cut down the work and the guess work out of yeast dough making.
Glad to see the dough work for the homemade hot pockets.
Chicken, broccoli, and cheese is good also (you can use rotisserie or canned chicken for convenience). If you don’t want to make homemade dough use crescent rolls take one triangle add filling take another triangle add to the top and seal the edges. On homemade dough or canned you can make an egg wash (2 beaten eggs add water) and brush it on top and they’ll brown, harden, and shine. Not necessary but optional.
A full day and a house full of cute ones! Brooke, those hot pockets look amazing. I can see endless flavors. Thank you for the recipe and be blessed always! xoxo
The girls are so cute! The hot pockets look so yummy! Thanks for sharing your day with us!
Beautiful Garden ❤
For some garden tools you should be able to buy a new wooden handle at an old hardware store if you still have one or online and reattach the metal part to the new wooden handle with nails I believe.
Riley gets so excited and Hattie always has a story to tell and Kennee is just Kennee
Your nieces are so adorable and as always I love your channel and content. You're the best and I honestly look forward to Your videos more than any other creator I watch. Please keep up all the hard work for all of us. You are appreciated.
I am going to make those, but I am going to add some sauce, as well.. These would be great for lunches, I am going to make all different kinds..
Great job Brooke and your homemade hot pockets look great 👍
Thanks 👍 so much for the encouragement so need it right now blessings to you and your family ❤❤❤
I did a freezer stock up today. They had chicken legs and thighs on sale for $1.29/pound. That’s a good price for the local store. They had the 10# tubes of ground meat on for $2.99 so I got a tube of that too. I shop the sales at the local store. Otherwise, they are a bit more expensive than the bigger stores, but the convenience is nice to have.
Great looking hot pockets! Ty for sharing bestie 💓 ❤
First, your garden and flowers are beautiful! Second, I would never take all that time to make that dough. 😜 Your family is lucky to have you! Thanks for sharing videos, love watching them! Hi to your nieces, Dusty, Ryder, Brayden, and Kylen!! 😊
Hi Brooke , Dusty and boys
I loved how you made them hot pockets you made . I love your childrens too . Love seeing the girls . Thank you for sharing your recipe and shopping list with us . Thank you Brooke, for all your hard work putting these videos together for us they are really helping us out on what to buy and planning out storage and meals
Sending lots of love and prayers 🙏❤️
I buy the grass fed hamburger at Walmart and split in thirds for casseroles
I know I have responded to your videos many times before and always with the same main comment. Here it is again... I LOVE your content!
Put the mean chicken in the crock pot. LOL!
I like all your meals they are great
Good Morning My Beautiful Friend!!!! Those hot pockets look delicious!!! I must try making some but with turkey! Please, tell Dusty, Thanks for his service, I really appreciate him for it. Yall have a great weekend, much love to you and your awesome family.!
Thank you!!!! Hope your weekend is the best!
With summer coming on and hot temperatures what cold cheap salads will you make and could you share those recipes with us. When I was a kid we ate a lot of mashed potato salads for a filler when it was too hot in our house to cook. Thank you
They are so cute
Oh those weeds can be eaten by the chickens! Toss 'em into their enclosure and they'll go nuts! Outer leaves of cabbage, spent lettuce, even meats chicken will eat! See YTer Justin Rhoded. His family has reduced their chicken feed bill dramatically!
re: goods with spices - Hunts sold 15oz tomato sauce with basil and oregano at onr time, now they only sell small cans. I stock up on the small cans when they are on sale, and they are definitely a staple part of my spaghetti sauce and chili.
Going to look into doing your hot pocket recipe! Thanks!
I got some canned fruit and vegetables and tuna fish which my hubs loves
Just found this video Brooke. The hot pockets look delicious
This is very random. But the rug in your living room. White flowers. I thought the flowers were eggs 😂 and then I was like why is that rug not in your kitchen?? Lol
Your garden is looking so good. Your chicks are laying and look content. Your nieces are as cute as can be. Thanks for sharing the recipe for the hot pockets. Have a great weekend.
Your home is BEAUTIFUL 🩵
Another comment from me. Never thought of doing with yeast dough. I have always used pie crust dough. I'll be trying yours this week. Thank you.
A wet washcloth or a scrap
Of that foamy waffle shelf liner might prevent your cutting board from moving around on you.
I love spending time with you and your family. You’re my kind of people ❤
Blessington Sisters in Christ
love this!! making pizza this weekend, might make some extra dough and make a few pizza pockets!!
Thank you for showing that you can mix bread dough without a mixer! ( since I don't have one)
The girls are adorable! Enjoy the day ❤
Brooke
Thank you for sharing this hot pocket recipe. My husband likes to make things with dough and I was telling him about this recipe as I was watching it. Loved seeing the girls and your beautiful flowers and garden. Loved the chickens too. So cute.
Thank you I have been thinking about making my own hot pockets, the store bought ones like you said are so small that it takes two to fill you up and they are not cheap!!
Those hot pockets look delicious😍
The hot pockets looks delicious
Perfect time for this video! As always, thanks for the great idea!
Our butter here is $9 a pound. I got a pound of butter for my $5 pantry stock up. That’s all I could get. (They were out) But I did get a rain check for the limit of 4 more. Freezing them.
They're so stinking cute 🥰!!! I have 2 boys and a girl ❤. Definitely a journey for both but a good one ❤
This weeks stock up will be at costco again. I have been stocking up on butter from there, the price is the best at $2.75 a pound. Jello has really jumped up in price here. I was buying store brand for .33cents a box, its now $1 a box. Thinking about ordering some online and having it shipped to me, there is a little amish store in ohio that sells it and ships. We dont have anything like that here in Texas.
Great haul. Sunday Im taking bf for pantry basics. After holiday discounts will be picked up wednesday or thursday.
My mammaw used to purée onion with the homemade hot pockets with ham and cheese.
I found a package of 60 eggs at the Walmart in Mason City Iowa for $4.94 on my way home from dropping off George to work today!!!!
Your hot pockets look so good.
Awesome video, thanks Brooke,😊😊😊❤️❤️❤️
Happy Memorial Day weekend 😊 🇺🇸
Happy Memorial Day!!! Hope your day is the absolute best!!
Well, I spent alot on emergency water in pouches that have a longer shelf life. When we moved from Florida to NM the movers wouldn't take our 2 five gallon water jugs. In NM we are putting in a water softener and an osmosis filter because the water here comes straight from the mountain and it's extremely hard water. No Zephyrhills water here either and I'm use to drinking lots if water. I have a Berkey filter but I haven't found it in the boxes yet. I would filter the tap water through that to remove the fluoride out and chlorine from the Florida water. I have some 25 yr dehydrated shelf life food but without water it can't be used. There's so many things to think about in prepping, right?
Thank you, Brooke! I enjoy watching your videos and learning. ❤
really enjoyed this video 😊
Those girls look so much like you, Brooke! And I love the music you chose for this video.
Cute kids
Hi Brooke love the chickens they are so cute I think it's great to have your own chickens for eggs with the price of them in the grocery store always a pleasure watching your video's much love possum 😀
Brooke I love your channel, your content is amazing! Your nieces are so sweet! You are certainly an inspiration to me, you are so down to earth! I live in southern middle Tennessee near Lynchburg TN i always look forward to seeing your videos. Your yard and garden are amazing!! Thank you for sharing all your ideas, recipes and tips with us!
Hey Brooke, I love your whisk I’ve been known to use mine too. Good job.
You make bread baking so easy. I might have to try again. Almost 70 yo old and never successful at making bread. 😪. Debi in Vicksburg, MS. 🥰🥰
A long time ago my mom tried making bread the bread came out so bad that my dad went out and bought her a deep freeezer. Mom never made bread again she went to bread outlet stores and froze the bread.
I’m not very good at it 😂 I have just made these Lot. Most of my bread attempts are terrible.
This looks so good I'm gonna try this tk u Brooke good idea
It's so delightful that great minds think alike. This, in Russia, when I worked there, is known as "cheburiki" and so close as to be painful. Enjoy!
If you wet a paper towel, ring it out, fold it and place it under your cutting board it will stop it from sliding around the counter.
The girls are so pretty
