Not sure if its sold in ROI, but brush-on Krazy Glue is terrific for coating these underbodies and eyes. Or zap-a-gap, but that tends to involve the fly fishing markup. I've found Krazy doesn't discolor as fast as other CA glues and often finish streamer heads with it.
Same. In MI we call those tandom deer hair streamers with a couple added materials and a brand new cheesy name. Some people make these tweaked flies out to be groundbreaking new ones. Schultz and Mad River Outfitters are horrible for this.

Yup. In New England, we call these "tandem" streamers; I use them when a conventionally tied Grey Ghost isn't working!

Have you considered making a few dubbing brushes George? Much handier than deer hair and can be thrown together easily.
Have used them Bob, the deer hair is better imo.
