If 2023 was any indication of whats to come, 2024 is going to be an amazing historical experience. Thank you and the team for all your hard work. Happy New Year!
Thank you for all the work time and expense to bring these far flung important historical parts of past lives to us. I for one greatly appreciate your (and your wife/team) efforts! God bless. And may 2024 see us all more knowledgeable and appreciative of our foundations!
Wow, what a great year 2023 was! I'm so looking forward to 2024. I thoroughly enjoy your channel. By far one of my favorites. I love the adventures you take us on and your ability and talent to tell a story is amazing. Anyway, thanks for taking this old man along for the ride.
I live in a coastal town called Blackpool, in the North of England. I come from a seafaring ancestry and found your channel quite by accident. I think I've now watched most of your content and find it absolutely fascinating and brilliantly made. You are a fantastic story teller and the animations are incredible. Looking forward to your work in 2024.
I stumbled upon your channel a few years ago. I was super strung out at the time and saw your vid on the Atlantic. I ended up getting sober, and staying sober. I went from watching your videos on a crappy android while living in a car that wasn’t even mine to watching them on an 86” beast in the family room of my home. Your channel is great and has always been a joy to watch. Thank you Tom!
I am so looking forward to the Empress of Ireland video and virtual experience. As a Quebecois myself, this ship went down in maritime legend as hard as the Titanic did. I grew up hearing about those wrecks side by side, as twin examples of the harsh reality of cross-Atlantic travel in the early 1900s. Your channel and your content is, to me, vital in preserving the history of North America's coasts and cities and I cannot thank you and your team hard enough for the work you all do.
I really look forward to 2024, and appreciate all the time and effort that you put into these video's. I also like how you try to give the most accurate information about the places you visit, and the vessels you cover. The human element is given life over sensationalism of the past or present. I also thank the people who assist you with animation, history, document's, and the people who have given you access to go into places and film. I would love to be a patreon member, but unfortunately i am disabled with progressive MS, and several other thing's, and just getting the bill's paid is tight. I always think that if i were more mobile i would visit some of these places, because before my mobility went down, I'd mushroom hunt in the woods, take long walks, and was able to hike. I'm nearly 53, and try to be as active as i can to try and slow down the progression of the MS, but i do appreciate being able to watch these adventures. Be careful in those old building's, because one injury can change your whole life, because that's what happened to me before getting MS. G-d bless you and yours.
i found you early this year. looking forward to a second year of fun. you and Ocean liner designs are my go to for a relaxed and chill time. you take me to a better time with less nonsense and madness. for that i thank you. also congrats on Fatherhood. love yah and may we have a great year ahead :D
found your channel toward the tailend of 2023, and man, i've enjoyed and looked forward to every single video you've posted! i cannot wait for what's in store for 2024
My hubby & I love this channel & have decided to become members b/c we want to support your upcoming endeavors. You have such quality work, excellent visuals that are unbelievable & such exciting places to visit that we’d never be able to see unless it wasn’t for you & your team. Looking forward to 2024 & excited to see so much more!! Be safe, healthy & prosperous.
Great work! Happy New Year 🎉. You might want to consider doing a video on a ship in Ontario just North of Toronto called Gravenhurst Ontario. The ship is a small lake steamer called the RMS Segwun. She has a functioning coal burning reciprocating steam engine. She still does short summer and fall cruises on the Muskoka Lakes. She's an amazing ship.
History is what it's all about for me & you bring it to life like no other. I appreciate that. Hope you can top next year with what you've done this year. I know you will for sure. Cheers 🥂🍻 to a new year.
I found your channel just a few months ago, and suffice to say it's been a joy to go through your past videos alongside new ones as they came out. I'll be looking forward to seeing what you get up to in 2024!
A great year for your narratives. I'm an Oregonian, very familiar with the two wrecks you covered; we spent many holidays at Astoria, Seaside, Cannon Beach. May I recommend an episode covering the Catala shipwreck on the beach at Ocean Shores, Washington? I went to high school in Aberdeen twenty miles away and spent many weekends having a good time climbing on the wreck, medicated you might say. So long ago, the class of '68. Interesting story about the ship, also. Keep them coming, you're among the best on Tube.
Found you though the Marie Celeste but haven't been subbed long enough. Clearly I have quite a bit of catching up to do. TYSM for all your travels and detailed research. Happy New Year to you and yours!!
Part time explorer seems like a misnomer nowadays lol. Thanks for all the wonderful videos. Hope you come back to Oregon, I'd love to show you some historical places.
Absolutely amazing year. Every time I think you couldn't possibly get any better, I'm proven wrong! Happy New Year to everyone involved with the channel. I'm excited to see what you do in 2024!
The Halifax Explosion - That would be an awesome topic for you to dive into. Huge Maritime explosion over a hundred years ago, leveled the city of Halifax in Canada.
I really enjoy your channel and the depth of your reporting. Happy New Year to you and yours and look forward to 2024 and the adventures you have in-store for us, thank you !!
Just found your channel, this is the second video I've watched... extremely interesting, indeed! Needless to say, I subscribed! Looking forward to your 2024 content! 🇺🇲
Sir, I'm glad I subscribed to your wonderful channel, it really gets into history that is unknown and lesser known shipwrecks. God bless you sir, and have a happy New Year.
Happy New Year to you and your family Tom and the rest of The Part-Time Explorer team from Yorkshire, UK, yes indeed it has been quite a year for really great videos of both the American Ghost Towns and your Maritime ones of which I have extremely enjoyed watching and learning about both. Can't wait to see what 2024 brings as your videos are always something for me to look forward to and I know you'll have one or two cool projects in the pipe line for the coming year! Wishing you and yours a great and interesting New Year.😊👍❤⚓🚢🌊🎆✨🎉🎊
Great series and great pedagogical talent. I have a thought on possible lost ship story: Gouverneur Generaal Loudon. It made history in being only one of three ships that survived Krakatoa tsunami (captained by Johan Lindemann), but then it seems to have gotten lost somewhere in the Flores Sea. I've always wondered if there was something special about the design of that ship, if the movies depicted it correctly and what happened to it.
Happy New Year part time explorer and family. Thank you for all the wonderful content you bring to life through you channel and dedication. May god bless you and your family and long live your channel. Look forward to new stories and adventures in the new year.
I recognized that mill immediately, but I never thought I’d see you outside a place right near where I grew up! I’ve hiked around in the park behind it a lot, but I never went inside or learned much about it. I really look forward to seeing your video on it.
At last that old question I keep asking has been answered, as to if you take things from these places. I'm glad it's been a yes after all this time! Glad 2023 a great year for you, hope to see more from you this year. Your videos have always been a treat for me and my friends to see. We will be there in April for your next Titanic stream.
Tiger Colorado, lumber town that had several, possible 3 lifetimes. It wasn't a mill town, it was log cabins for the men and their families that were logging the timber. You should check it out.
Happy New Year I hope you are doing okay on your side of town and you have more surprises for us along with the projects you are already making like my favorite one about The Lusitania Interior I just hope you have the whole ship nearly finished.
Why do people Feel the need to destroy? It makes me 😮so angry! I very much enjoy your videos and reading books about these topics. Such a rich history that is overlooked.
Love your channel 😊, and look forward to the next years video's , just a pity Vandals marred one of them so pays to be a bit careful how you portray things👍.
You should look into the wreck of the Enchanted Capri. Shes a modern cruise ship wrecked on the beaches of mexico. Her wreck has striking similarities to SS America, and the two halfs of her hull are starting to drift apart in the same manner.
Personally, I think your channel should get state funding from whichever place you visit. Preserving history, making it available, educational, AND you do it with flawless reverence for the departed. I can easily see these vids used in schools. I hope 2024 brings you EVERYTHING you need and many of the things you want.
There's something Joyful about these videos Atleashed the last 2 years have been very interesting most story's are just about the titanic but its interesting to learn about Artic and Eastland I find American Ghost towns mysterious and the stories also 151 coming up
Thank you sir, and to those who assisted you, for bringing the disgraceful destruction of Lauren Glen to our attention. Those in this country who still call themselves patriots are obligated take a stand to stop these attacks on our heritage and industrial capabilities. We are at war with very destructive-minded people who are mowing down the United States one building at a time. If you can afford to buy jeopardized facilities, buy them. If not, fight tooth and nail at local city council meetings, planning department meetings, school board meetings, etc. There is absolutely never a good excuse for spending millions of dollars to destroy an asset worth tens or even hundreds for millions of dollars, though you will hear plenty of fake ones........
UA-cam doesn't advise us when a new video you launch on the internet. I don't know how UA-cam works. Most be very expensive to make the videos. They are always amazing. I am brazilian seaman retired.
If 2023 was any indication of whats to come, 2024 is going to be an amazing historical experience. Thank you and the team for all your hard work.

Awesome work. I have followed since your first work on the SS Atlantic.

I lost one of my ancestral line from the Lusitania. He was from Cape Cod with the last name Rich. I look forward to that book.
First thing I'm doing is seeing if UEVR works with Lusitania

I'm here for ship stories too...good and bad. Good story teller too
A busy, productive, and for us fascinating year. Great work!

This is one of those few channels with videos which will still be relevant and important decades and even hundreds of years into the future.
Happy New Year I hope you are doing okay on your side of town and you have more surprises for us along with the projects you are already making like my favorite one about The Lusitania Interior I just hope you have the whole ship nearly finished.

Hey I'm sure you already know but have you heard about the old ship wreck that washed ashore in cape Rey or ray....they think it's like 200 years old.
