Great help. My remote and central locking didn't work after I disconnected my battery while I went on an overseas trip. Your video on resetting a new key worked for me. Unfortunately I am still searching for a solution to re-initialise my HiAce auto sliding door

Thanks Dino. I could program the transponder but not the keyless. I can get the door locks to cycle, but only once though. But it doesn’t seem to recognise the remote. I will persevere. 👍 thanks again 😬

G'day, I took my key to the Locksmith as soon as I received the Blank Key with the chip inside. Will it still work? I only want the Van to start. I will not worry about the door locking etc. Cheers Perry
Should work.. think its late 2006 to early 2010 models just check as I could be wrong ..👍🍻
Your video instructions are different from the instructions you show on the sellers ebay instructions. You say to start with the door closed; their instructions say to start with it open.
So your open/close door is then also different from their close/open sequence.
Which is correct??
When getting vehicle to recognise transponder chip you start with door closed. Then when trying to program doors to lock/open you start with door open . Please rewatch video and try again this does work . Thanks for watching 👍🍻
What if my Hiace has just a fully metal key with no chip? There is central locking but would an aftermarket remote work if i follow these instructions?

Our hiace key is failing to lock and unlock sometime it work. I tried replacing battery but after replacing totally doesnt respond. Does it need reprogramming after batt replacement?
It shouldn’t need reprogramming after battery replacement. I replaced battery in my original remote key and worked right away . I would get another key and get cut off your original and program the new key to lock and unlock doors as I did and you can see if there’s a problem with your remote key .. It’s the new batteries that have protective child-safe coating on the voltage side. try licking them and they should respond more. I’m being serious….

Mate I replaced my car battery Hiace and then after that my remote start playing if I close it alarm will went off I can’t lock doors like before only by use hard key on driver door and lock it from there 🤦♂️ do u have any idea? Thanks

I tried this in my 2014 Hiace and it won’t stay on the security light it still blinks
Hi i just rewatched the video and this only covers from late 2006 model hiace upto 2010 . Try and search your year model on UA-cam to see if any videos that will cover your van .. good luck with it and hope this helps and thanks for watching 👍🍻

My dilema is that I only got one key with my vehicle, which was a cloned key. Because I dont have the ORIGINAL key, this wont work for me :(
The apparent only solution is a replacement of BOTH the ECU and Immobilizer unit as the ECU and Immobilizer are paired.

only work if the ecu hasnt had it done three time already thats all the ecu holds then u need to start deleating master keys had that problem on me 06 hilux
