Miss TRU so much. I'm 47, and I'll always miss being able to go there to browse the aisles, be nostalgic about being young, and escape life for a few minutes.
This just makes me miss Toys R Us even more. So many Marvel Legends!
Yeah. That place was my mini vacation away from life for a few minutes. I would say all of them closing has had quite an impact on me. There's just less and less places to physically go and browse.
I thought if closed in usa why did they keep any open anywhere else? i know they try reopen in select locations but they really crapped on some workers in ways .
@@cable30 Toys R Us Canada got approval from the courts to be sold to another Canadian company to remain open. American Toys R Us, just sold everything and called it good.

The US is getting Toys R Us back again! I think they'll be in Macy's locations though.

Thailand has a few too. Went to it, although the way they set their's up and the items it carry are wildly different.
Are you serious?! π€¨ we donβt even have Target, you guys literally manufacture and receive EVERYTHING! We canβt get the Rise of Evil 2pack or any Mcfarlane exclusives, You wonβt find marvel legends in the clearence isle at the dollar store over here either!
um Texas still has a toys r us. there's one in Houston. π
Not all of them are remotely this well stocked. I have one 40 min away and its a sad shadow of what it use to be. Americans complain about how Target dicks people over for pre orders. TRU Canada has them beat with its site alone. The sheer amount of out of stock items, mislabled listings, the overall lack of speed and stock of items is bad enough, but now exclusives are in store only with minimal numbers. Oh its also up to 75$ for free shipping, it was 35$. Your not missing anything. Personally id trade TRU for Target especially if it had the level of collection options US gets. Its fine to be nostalgic but the truth is Canadian TRU is pretty hit or miss and when its a miss its pretty bad. Transformers generally look like their on clearance due to how rarely they stock the shelves.
Oh TRU also LOVES to jack prices up. Nerf blasters are a fantastic example. Hammershot came out years ago for 16$. They found old stock and decided to mark them up to 40$ each.
I hear Canada still have some Blockbuster up there ?

Let me tell you something. Modern figures and newly packaged toys are not worth anything. The reason is, they haven't had as many years to gain value. Llike in 1977, Kenner brought us Star Wars. In 1982, LJN released Dungeo.The Playmates are 1988.

I by chance worked at one for seasonal before was let go and then try hire me back for another seasonal and was naw. but tried by any for the closing end of store sale and stuff was still alot money lol. and of course by time go back most good stuff gone cause they didnt have all on the cheap cause some stuff was not on cheap for start.

I was born in the 70's and I was the perfect age when Transformers, G.I. Joe, He-man, Thundercats and Voltron first came out. When you do these trips to the store the nostalgia always comes flooding back. Thank you for giving the Transformers section some love! BTW, season 2 of The Witcher will be at the end of the year, probably December. This is an amazing channel, love it!

10 years ago, when my wife and I were just dating...we took a long weekend trip to Savanna Georgia. I was actually going to propose to her while down there. About 3 hours in; we stop for gas, I go to start pumping and realize I didn't have my wallet. I was so embarrassed because she had to pay for EVERYTHING on the trip. Awesome Toy Hunt video! We miss Toys R Us so much! Seeing that Black Series Con Exclusive The Amourer just sitting on the shelf and on clearance was crazy!!! It was 96F degrees here in Kentucky today! With the high humidity the heat index was well over 100.

My daughter left her wallet at home, and I had to meet her halfway between her job and home so she could buy gas. I suggested that she put a payment app on her phone for these kind of emergencies, because there is no way she would leave the house without her phoneπ. Just a thought you might want to consider. Iβm down in Arizona and we just finished nearly 2 weeks of an average of 47Β°C! Used to live in the wonderful province of Ontario and love seeing Toys R Us, miss that place! If you ever go to London be sure to stop into the Heroes toy store in downtown.

43C for the past 3 or 4 days in the Okanagan, BC! I wish I knew you lived there 2 years ago when I lived there! I hope to back. Loved it there. We don't have AC so we opened our boiler room door to let some cool air in and the suite above us complained to the landlord. Looking out for your neighbors, I think not....

Being a typical American, I was like 38 is chilly..oh yeah,Celsius. I'm in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and luckily not caught in the heat so we saw about 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
