About the "Croatia" and "Serbia" thing , slavic countries normally have Blue , White or Red or all of them ( Russia 🇷🇺 , Slovakia 🇸🇰 , Slovenia 🇸🇮 , Serbia 🇷🇸 , Croatia 🇭🇷 , Czech Republic 🇨🇿 ) P.S : I'm from none of these countries , but still easy to say the flag of each country
Prefer my French Flag 🇨🇵
(It's the current one in the emogis list)
The actual one has Dark Blue Navy shade and Red Blood
Actually the Original French Flag dated back during the French Revolution that changed Europe in the 18th century
Yes thats right we all have very similar flags 👍
Meanwhile, Poland 🇵🇱, Bulgaria 🇧🇬, North Macedonia 🇲🇰, Montenegro 🇲🇪, Ukraine 🇺🇦, Belarus 🇧🇾
@@lissandrafreljord7913 Red/white/blue are modern colors and modern flags from 19th or 20th century, most of that countries had different flags before. For example Czech (more precisly bohemian) flag was the same as today Polish flag, only slightly different shape of red.

The French girl is so pretty
Would be nicer if you'd invited some eastern European women, too.
yes, thank you!
Or northern
Why? There is no need. Only Western people are humans (joke)

Yes, considering they so often invite the largest European countries, it strange that they don't often have Italian representatiion
Hola im Claudia! 🇪🇸 I wish they could show the full explanation of the Spanish flag since I studied hard for it hehehe. But I guess it was too long, anyway I enjoyed a lot, I love those games, See you soon!
Loved the video and the fact the you are Lauren won 😁
Claudia reventando la campana vale xD
😍
We don't care actually.
Lo del rojo y amarillo se tomo como referencia la senyera en el cambio de la insignia del ejercito de marina. De los distintos diseños con estos dos colores la actual bandera fue la del gusto de Carlos III.
The french girl is actually so charming
Well she's a model...
The french girl... 👀
although Andrea is my favorite , Claudia is very good representing Spain , yesterday she got a lot right and has a lot of energy
For competitions yes, but for more casual conversation she seems cold 😅
Yeah i love Andrea and Claudia
I totally agree with you, my friend

Actually , these flags are easy , the thumbnail from left to right : Romania 🇷🇴 , Netherlands 🇳🇱 , Finland 🇫🇮 , Czech Republic 🇨🇿 and Serbia 🇷🇸
True, my friend 👍👍
IT's easy to say that after the video ???
@@Pollypocket712 "The thumbnail from left to right" says all , it was way before I see the full video 😂
Yeah I know most of the flags because I learnt them, but before I did I had no idea about many flags but they stick with me forever now

The Spanish flag actually has no meaning. It was Spain's Naval Ensign for Spanish ships in the 18th century, yellow and red have high visibility at sea.
had no meaning...UNTIL NOW. 🤗
👏👏
That's just ridiculous, yes it does have a meaning. The yellow represents the gold of the americas, the red represents the blood spilled by spaniards in battles and wars throughout its history, as a symbol to unify people.
@@ChadSpittingTruth hahhaahah. Claro q si guapi
@@ChadSpittingTruth Emmm no xD
German colours are actually hard to track the origin of, there are two major stories for the origin: one goes back to antiquity as a black eagle on gilden background with of enemy's blood soaked beak and claws are among the oldest German signs of power and the other comes from the Freikorps of the Napoleonic freedom wars as it was the first pan German unit of students from all German states that had due to a shortage of colouring material black uniforms with gildet buttons and a red scarf.
Whatever the origin might be it has become our people's colour during the 1848 revolution which was the first attempt at forming an united german national state with a democratic constitution and has been the colours of the weimar republic, the democratic republic (east) and the federal republic (west/ modern) and hence represents unity and freedom
Black, Red and Gold was actually also used in the early 16th century during the "Bauernkriege". The uprising of farmers and peasants against the nobles. They were seen as colors of Resistance and Emanzipation back then
German girl is cute. “I wanna go home”🥺
These girls are FAST I am not ready to fight 😂😂😭😭
Don't be sad, next time will be Yours 😃 you are very kind, smart and beautiful btw. Wish you all best, from eastern neighbour, Poland 🇵🇱
In the Greek flag, aside from what was mentioned in the video, these colours had another meaning during the Revolution.
They stood for "Freedom or Death", meaning they were either going to be free or dead. Blue is Liberty and white is death
Ελευθερία ή θάνατος
We also have this
Слобода или смрт!
Greetings from Serbia 🇷🇸🇬🇷☦️
Pov : European flags are way easy to identify , try with countries of Africa or Asia
Cuz they're popular. Every Europeans flag have their own rich History.

Uhh.. not really, it’s because of strong football teams mainly. Everyone will also know Brazil and Argentina flag because they are also strong at football.
I know American flags better because I live in the continent 😅
Asians are also easy but African flags....
This one was kind of easy, I guess the girls were just nervous and thats justified because people feel very connected to national symbols of their country and it might be a sensible matter in many places all around. Plus, the adrenalin of having to rush to the bell. But it was great fun to watch, they are all utterly beautiful, really funny and they have positive energy that makes us happy too.
Could make an entire episode just with red-white-blue flags and guessing what the colors represent.
Spanish coat of arms actually represents way more than just the Monarchy.
The big crown on the middle represents the Hispanic Monarchy, the crown on the left pillar represents the Bourbon dinasty (current dinasty since the Habsburgs "lost" the Spanish War of Succesion, Treaty of Utrecht, yadayada), the crown on the right pillar represents the HRE bc of Charles V (First king that fully controlled all the kingdoms inherited by his grandparents the Catholic Monarcs, so he was technically the first Monarch to unify Spain as a whole. Castile+Aragon, etc. He was also elected as the Holly Roman Emperor so that's why). The 4 banners inside the coat represent the Crowns and Kingdoms of Castile, Leon, Aragon and Navarre. The little blue circle with three golden things in the middle represent the House of Bourbon-Anjou, The little banner on the bottom of the flag represents the Kingdom of Granada (Last territory to be reconquered and finally ending the Reconquista, wich was the longest series of conflicts in human History and lasted around 700 years), the two pillars themselves represent the Strait of Gibraltar and there are 2 banners around those pillars that say "PLVS VLTRA" (or "PLUS ULTRA") and it means "Further Beyond" in latin, symbolizing the "discovery" of America and "The New World" (It used to be "NON PLUS ULTRA" wich means "There's no further beyond", since people used to think that was the end of the known world, so that's a fun fact)
Ella dijo en los comentarios que quería
Explicar y lo explicó pero seguramente lo cortaron porque es muy largo.
If I recall well, the two pillars also refer to a myth of Hercules creating the Strait and putting those pillars with that inscription. Moreover, the blue circle in the middle comes from the flag of the Kingdom of France, since the Borbons came from there.
The prettiest is the French girl
Actually for the Czech flag, blue triangle can be meant as Slovakia (or Moravia). Because Kingdom of Bohemia had the same flag as Poland (red and white stripes) for ages. But when Austria-Hungary collapsed and Czechoslovakia was founded, it was decided to keep the red and white flag. The final solution of this problem came in 1920/21 when Czechoslovakia changed its flag to the flag that we know today. There were many reasons for this, but the two main reasons are most often mentioned: 1. so that the Czechoslovak flag does not get confused with the Polish flag and 2. so that the flag also represents the Slovaks (or Moravians). After the breakup of Czechoslovakia, the Slovaks adopted a new flag, but the Czechs kept the old Czechoslovakian one, even though the Czechia was supposed to have a new flag as well.
Its so good that we managed to keep Czechoslovakia flag. I think also our country is much more tied to its historical roots. Kingdom of Bohemia existed for hundreds of years and Czechs are direct sons of it. Slovakian statehood is quite new (even though the nation is as old as Czechs). Slovaks have nice flag. Slovenians maybe even better and similar. But Czech Republic has a very nice and unique flag, we are the only one with that triangle in Europe. Everyone else has just stripes and crosses essentialy.
@@Aggoenix Oh sorry I'm writing from my 2nd account. Yeah, I agree with you. Czech statehood is old enough to show its rich and huge history in its flag/national emblems. I'm glad that we have today two seperate nations Czech Republic and Slovakia (I'm Czech btw), because (and I'm not the only one who thinks that) it strenghten our very great relations with Slovaks and Slovaks can represent themselves as Slovaks when they wanted it back in the 90's. But also I would like to see what would a federation of Czechs and Slovaks look like today, when we are both prosperous countries, have greatest relations with eachother than they ever were, etc... Even though not everybody nowadays wants to see our future with eachother in one country again, I personally would like to see that not so much because of "we would be bigger and stronger thing", but because some of my relatives (my great grandfather came from East Slovakia) are Slovak and I would like to see the relations in new state.
The French girl is so beautiful!
when you speel freedom in greek the word is divided in 5 syllables and thats what the blue lines repesent
same story with the white lines but they represent the words [or death]. so basically you have freedom or death and then you have the cross wich represents the greek religion wich is
orthodoxy
French flag is actually Red and Blue for Colors of Paris and White for Monarchy
The romanian flag doesn't represent any of that.
The blue represents the sky,
the yellow represents the wheat that grows on our country's fields
and the red represents the blood that our men shed in battle.
That's what we learned in school.
Actually colours of romanian flag come from colours of Romania’s coat of arms. Yellow - golden eagle, red - eagle’s beak, claws and crown, blue - azure background.
@@olgagaca3184 I've never heard of that, as a Romanian. I also have learned the same thing in school as the OP.
Ai fost pionier? :))))
Indeed , Blue - sky, Yellow - fields , Red - the blood of the heroes.
Nice to know what own country's flag's colors present :D
Unless I am mistaken, the french flag bears the color of the capital, i.e. the city of Paris (the red and the blue that appear on the shield or arms) surrounding the white color, emblem of the monachy. The young lady had it right on this later one. The flag must have a 3 to 2 ratio. Last, the legend says that the order of the colors were proposed by the famous french painter David.
THEY DIDN'T EXPLAIN THE FLAG OF THE NETHERLANDS! I WILL DO IT!!!
The Dutch flag is first known full color depiction of the flag.(kinda shameful it's not in there) The flag was made after the revolt against Spain. The red in the flag used to be orange. It changed to red because the Republic of the United Netherlands(full name, does it remind you of some other country?) didn't agree with the monarchy anymore. It went from a Prince flag to a state flag.
The colors in the Dutch flag mean...
Each band of color in the Dutch flag holds some symbolism for the country. The red band symbolizes bravery, strength, valor, and hardiness; the white band, peace and honesty; and the blue band represents vigilance, truth, loyalty, perseverance, and justice.
In the Dutch anthem there's a line "The King of Spain i've always honored". Prince Willem II always served under Charles V. A guy who he respected very much. After Charles the V thing went south between the Netherlands Hapsburg at the time and Spanish rule.
It's still very strange to put in your anthem when you gained independence after a war. It's so personally made for Prince Willem of Orange. It was also a revolt song, so maybe that's why. What the French did to their flag ,we did with our anthem. I think ours makes more sense.
The UK wins because the Spanish girl didn't got this one.
* A lot of flags are copied of the Dutch. The most famous are the French, South African and Russian flag. There's one flag that's the same as the Dutch, can you guess which flag?
UK flag: it's 3 flags combined. The cross of St. George for England, the cross of St Andrew for Scotland and the cross of St Patrick for Ireland.
The coat of arms in Spain's flag is very rich in symbols. It has a crown of course because of the monarchy. The two pillars on both sides with the latin inscription "plus ultra" (far over here) is a reference to the myth of Hercules putting pillars on both sides of the Gibraltar Strait with the inscription "non terrae plus ultra" (no land far over here). The idea being that Spain "discovered" America and therefore proving that there was land far over, contrary to what Hercules said. Then there are the 4 small coat of arms which symbolize different kingdoms that came to be together Spain. The castle represents Castille, the chains represent Navarre, the red and golden stripes represent Aragon, the Lion represents Leon and the flower represents Grenade. In the middle there's what used to be the flag of the Kingdom of France, it stands for the ruling dinasty in Spain, the Borbons.
Hi guys, Lauren here! This video was hilarious and so much fun! Next time we definitely have to try some more difficult flags, but even just standing in front of a camera adds a lot of pressure and it makes it so much harder! When explaining the U.K. flag meaning, I said Ireland because that part of the flag is to represent Ireland (St Patrick) but obviously only northern Ireland is part of the U.K. now, but when the flag was made it was during the time where the whole of Ireland was united with England, Wales and Scotland so please do not misunderstand me🙃

Czech flag doesnt have original meaning in its color. Original red and white are colors of Kingdom of Bohemia. Blue was added for Slovakia because we merged at 1918. After split we didnt change the flag. But its said that Blue represents the region of Moravia now.
Coat of arms of Kingdom of bohemia was Silver two-tailed lion in jump with golden crown on a red field (Thats exact heraldic description)
Coat of arms of Moravia was White and red chessboard pattern eagle with golden crown
And as original Bohemian kingdom flag was already white and red (How Poland flag looks today), we added Blue for slovakia and later for Moravia as thats the color they had in their coat of arms and we didnt. :)
Blue and red are Paris colors. Most French towns have a two colors flag from the middle age. White is the color of the monarchy.
Hello from Czechia! 🇨🇿
I love the german girl. Very intelligent, kind and humble.
Francesca is very calm or she doesn't show her excitement.
This is an incredible video. Thank you for that 🥰🥰
The meaning of flag of Czechia was false here. Red and white represent traditional colour of Bohemia and the blue triangle represent Slovakia because it was a Czechoslovakian flag. After the breakup of Czechoslovakia Slovakia and Czechia agreed on that that they should not use Czechoslovakian flag but Poland already stoled traditional Bohemian flag so Czechia continued using the Czechoslovakian flag to differentiate itself from Poland. Some people today say that the Blue is for now Moravia but this isn’t official.
???Poland have had white-red colours in its flag and emblem for centuries. So do not talk BS.

No, it was Czech royal banner, not flag, from 1192. We have had something like this too(well, well!), first preserved mention about 1070. Undoubtely as an eagle 1182. I feel the need to specify that, yes, while the Irish saltire of St. Patrick is represented in the UK's Union Jack flag (as Ireland was a former British colony), the Republic of Ireland is an independent country, not part of the UK. Or that everyone writes his answers on a paper separately.
Yeah, either of those options would be a great improvement, for fairness and for safety, too.
And they should also have to answer the second after they hit the button. Minus 1 if they are wrong so they think before they hit the button.
Yeah, the latter is the best idea!

Your right.
The flag of the French monarchy has not always been white, even if we remember especially the representation of the white flag with golden fleurs-de-lis, widely used in cinema or documentaries. In fact, until the Renaissance period, it was fine with three golden lilies.
And it is true to recall that red and blue were also colors used by the French monarchy in different periods of the history of France.
However, to return to the modern French flag, inherited from the First Republic, blue and red represent the colors of the city of Paris. I did confuse. And white the monarchy. Initially, the Revolution was led by the bourgeoisie, which wanted to seize political power. They were more moderate revolutionaries who wanted to keep the King and set up a Constitutional Monarchy. This is the reason why white was kept on the French flag of the first republic. Before symbolizing the alliance of the "kings of the French" with the people. You know the rest. He literally lost his head in 1793.
The revolutionaries then wanted to replace the republican flag with an all-red flag, symbolizing the martyrdom of the people. Red is widely used on roundels or Phrygian caps.
The Russian revolutionaries took up the idea....
@@Agounet I know the rest.
"La Renaissance" was really France and Italy relationship.

Les Fleurs d'or de lis
The White Flag came up with [Jean d'Arc] "the Maiden of Orleans". She saved the French from the English in the 14th century. When King of England (don't remember his name) claimed the Crown of France

The three colors on the Serbian flag don't have an official meaning (I literally have never heard of the presented interpretations), but are a re-arrangement of the Pan Slavic tricolor.
In the 1830s Serbia became an autonomous principality within the Ottiman Empire and wanted to have its own flag. The original arrangement (red-white-blue) was rejected for resembling the revolutionary French flag, while Russia's arrangement was a no-no to the Turkish authorities so a compromise was made for Serbia to use its naval ensign as its official flag, which as you may know in naval ensigns the red color is more prominent, so in Serbia's case the flag was red-blue-white.
Within just a couple decades this arrangement became extremely popular and from that time, the red-blue-white tricolor has been inseparably associated with the Serbian nation, as no other nation has this arrangement.
Actually, they have meaning that's said here. The rest of what you said is partially true. The red - white - blue flag, whose color layout was taken by Croatia after the breakup of Yugoslavia, is originaly Serbian flag used in 1804 during the reign of Prince Miloš (it is mentioned by Matija Nenadović in his Memoirs) and then in 1835 (the flag of the Principality of Serbia / Kneževina Srbija). The oldest example of the connection between the modern Serbian national flag and medieval features is the flag of King Stefan Vladislav, the historical confirmation of which is the list of valuable items from the carnival, recorded in Dubrovnik documents. On July 1, 1281, six citizens of Kotor received a power of attorney to, on behalf of the then king of Raška (Serbia), Stefan Dragutin, raise coffins in Dubrovnik belonging to Župan Desa and his mother Bjeloslava: "Nos comune Catari consentimus Johanni de Pribi, Nicolao Dabronis, Johanni Gymanoi, Johanni Gille, Marco Basilii et Medossio Thome Dragonis, quos dominus noster rex Stephanus misit Ragusium ad recipiendum depositum, quod reposuit iuppanus Dese et mater eius". In Dubrovnik, on July 3, 1281, the same delegation of Kotor citizens raised the deposit of Župan Desa, son of King Vladislav and Bjeloslava. The list of deposits recorded in Dubrovnik documents also mentions a red and blue silk flag (vexillum unum de zendato rubeo et blavo). So after 1835, only white color was added to the flag from 1281.
