I'd really appreciate it if you lads gave my Sons of the Forest video a watch and let me know your thoughts: ua-cam.com/video/kfdsgChhCXI/v-deo.html . I think you'd like it, even if you don't plan on playing the game.
I frankly like the story itself, the detail you put into it, and the fact you always maintain what your character is and the lore around everything. Regardless of that I also really enjoyed your non-stories like the sons of the forest vids. I personally think it has to do with the way you have of explaining things, I’m not sure if its your quips, tone, word choice, or all of it combined but its entertaining to listen to. Thanks for your continued effort into these series and your channel as a whole, its great to watch and I look forward to wherever you go onto.
I stumbled on your videos yesterday and I have been binging this whole series. I hope for more playthoughs. This has been the most entertainment I have seen for this game!
Most immersive play through ever, you’re hilarious and i love the character you have made and play. Your storytelling is hilarious and incredible! That’s my reason to your question at the end! Cheers
The well-edited gameplay combined with your in-character roleplay and humor work very well together. It's not just playing a game, it's telling a story, by the character.
Same here, Bandits Ballads is one of my favourite M&B series, it would be really sad if something like this just disappeared. Keep up the amazing work Halcy!!
What I like in your content is watching you overcome challenges while also explaining how, along with the visual and verbal gags you implement. You make me laugh while also teaching me new playstyles and tips. I also enjoy watching how you conquer the map and enemy parties
To answer your question , i love the battle comments , the planning ( and jow it derails) and the witty jokes. Really fun to watch, keep up the conquest and imps skull bashing !
I love these videos. I remember being so hyped watching the first one a year ago and im still hype watching them today. I love your story telling and I love this story specifically.
I really enjoy the storytelling aspect of the campaign and how your commentary transforms the simple record of "I fought this, I did that" into a story with ups and downs, victories and losses, decision and luck
Please keep doing more storytelling videos, they are amazing to listen to while at work/doing school work. I personally love longer style of videos. Also if you plan on doing another playthrough I recommend using a mod called "cultured start". The Cultured Start mod for Bannerlord modifies the system, enabling you to make more choices as you make your character, dictating more precisely how you start your adventure in Calradia.
What I like about your videos is your amusing commentary first of all. Don't overthink it just keep doing what you're doing. Second, you cut your vids together well, succinct and clean. Keep it up man, like the vids. Actually had you playing in the background while I was playing my own M&B2 campaign :)
As far as why I watch your videos, it's your storytelling. The way you explain happenings and game mechanics thru a storylike narration is awesome! It's something I personally love to do and I never see any other youtuber do this. In fact, I think it's quite annoying how many videos are like "Okay guys so this is my character Shrek the Hedgehog, now let's brutally exploit some bugs." Like yeah that stopped being funny after the 1000th time.
I love the way you create an interesting story out of the gameplay. I mean, I like this game very much, played it myself, but it can be just a simple gameplay. You make it a Halcylion gameplay. It is very entertaining and I enjoy your style of humor and editing very much. This applies to all your Bannerlord videos (I haven't watched other games yet), and even my girlfriend who didnt know anything about Mount and Blade was able to have fun watching the Bannerlord Review and the tale of Ukzugg. Quoting her, talking about your channel: "It's amazing that, no matter the previous knowledge you have, you can put the video at any timestamp whatsoever and you will be able to understand what is going on and have a good laugh". You are great, man. I love your videos.
"Yeah Hell YEAH !!!!" Finally Bannerlord Video, may the drowned god drown you with the attention this channel needs. to be honest I love your channel for 3 reasons: 1. you are a good narrator with an excellent humor 2. your editing is enjoyable 3. banner lord
Combo of puns, good story, and a good mix of large-scale strategy and small-scale tactics. You're also pretty good at the game. Not the absolute best, but still good. Keep it up!
I'm not too big on guides and tutorials because I enjoy the new player experience, so I prefer to watch playthroughs and stories. One of the things I like about Bannerlord is the ability to create a character and story. You are among the few who have done so quite well.
It is truly sad BB is not getting almost any attention nowadays compared to first episodes but i sure as hell love it as much as always. About your question at the end of the video, the storytelling and the backstory for Balon is top notch as i love Game of Thrones and the Iron Islands is my favourite faction/culture from it.
What makes your videos interesting is the way you tell your story's.Not only in the episode format but also your editing style and proper grammar and attention span allow Maximum enjoyment
I like how the story is told, it feels like an overly exaggerated self glorifying tale, told over a tankard of ale. And I really like how you give Balon friends, and bitter enemies. And the fact that Balon has a personality of his own, and you act as Balon would.
I like bannerlord, and I also like how you justify all of the game aspects, with things that would make sense if it was real life, like how you said that the rest of the gear was divided among your troops, rather than the game devs not wanting you to get excess loot.
I guess ı like the RP side of things, you talking as if our main character is explaining what happened to us through a story and ı like when you try to act like how you want him to be with his overall uncaring and violent personality and thoughts.
What I enjoy is the story telling, the way you write a script and then weave a story around the small and boring details of bannerlord is the reason I am still watching! great job all around
I would genuinely say your humor and that you're making a worth while story. I can see all the work you do put into this even though it may not get you views
the reason i like this content is because i like to watch the adventures of a bandit in the medieval era even more great if he can become a king, from a bandit in the low land to be a king sitting in a castle, sooo many contain adventure and fantasy🔥👍 nice content sir
Hi why ironborn? Because u are funny and interesting your memes are spot on I like how u go into detail so keep doing what u are doing and I liked all your videos on this playthrough too.
I've been playing this game for about half a year, it's quite fascinating and keeps to be interesting. Your videos have had an impact on that. It changed the way I play somewhat. But what I appreciate most about your videos is the way you craft a story. It is quite unique: intelligent, has the kind of humor I like, a well-told story allround. It is obvious that there is a lot of work that goes into one of these. I've watched a lot of your videos including all videos in this series and all of the ones in The Authentic Raider Experience™. Thank you for the beautiful work :)
@Halcylion Enjoyable content with great storytelling as well as specific humour. And the way you tend to play in character. I use to play the game in similar fashion, always in character, once as a homage to Snake Plissken rags to riches, war againts everyone and try to keep rebellion towns alive 😎😋 Keep on going, i'm glad you use patreon lately and i'll support you when your guides finally make me a real life trading millionaire perhaps even before that.
to answer the video question i think you have a personal editing style and dialogs your write thats real good and fits well the narrative format. for me even your guides are good because of that aspect
Why do I watch these videos? The gameplay in your videos is full of all the stuff that I would love to do but just don't have the patience for. Your story telling is also hilarious - imagine watching the same video but it was just some dude explaining what he was doing to min-max his way through it - yawn. I hope you get the support to keep this up - you're my go to UA-camr! Edit: I regret not taking 5 seconds to thumbs up every one of your videos I have watched, I promise to do it from now on!
Your humor, and storytelling while combining it the the gameplay, think of it somewhat like RyconRoleplays, he used to do like first person POV Skyrim shit, like his thoughts are the characters, he has a couple series like it that are interesting
I love bannerlord and I love your dialogue! The way you tell your characters stories and go off on random stories during the repetitive stuff is always pleasant!
I personally came across you by your trading campaign, I love the mount&blade series and loved your style of highly edited long episodes that showed what happened in the campaign while leaving out the boring most time consuming stuff, coupled with actually deep insight into the game mechanics and in-depth explanations qualifying as tutorials to your decision making while also keeping to a thematic bigger goal and character kept me hooked to your mount&blade content. Not sure if it will manage to captivate the big audience that isn't interested in such rather slow games as m&b and doesn't have an attention span longer than 5 minutes, but to me it hit perfectly into my nieche of what made me fall in love with let's plays back in the day coupled with a more modern understanding of editing and storytelling. And most importantly to me personally: it's not just a Lifestream captured and put up as a let's play but an actual let's play project (and no annoying cam in the corner). Really appreciate your excellent work!
I love your skill in this game. I really love your humor and story telling. And I just like the overall progression with your insane skill maneuvering these crazy challenges that tell an interesting story. But I think your videos can be long which might turn people off.
I like the storytelling/roleplaying aspect. I personally like hearing about perk choices taken in a campaign as it helps with build ideas not previously considered. I think another way to improve your views/subs is by increasing video output. One a week or two weeks if you can manage it would be better.
Honestly I'm not sure myself what that special something is, if I had to guess it'd be both you and the memes you sprinkle throughout the video. Oh, I will also say that I love knowing that we will definitely see the proper end of the series. It's very depressing to invest a bunch of time into a narrative like this, only for it to get dropped halfway in and brushed under the rug.
It's also a bit depressing to invest a lot of time into creating a series like this and seeing it get no traction, but I promised I'll finish it, and I shall. :) And who knows? Maybe when it's all done, it'll get a bunch of new viewers.
@@Halcylion I will say perhaps you should do the thing that I see many creators doing nowadays; once the series it complete put out a single mega episode of all the parts in one long video that is trimmed of fat like previous episode recaps that don't add anything new and are properly labelled etc for where one episode began and ended.
you're the only one who gives an immersive roleplay play through, it's the stories that i like, and the way it's told, it feels like i'm playing the roleplay campaign myself
To me, the most appealing thing about these videos is your ability to make the viewer completely immersed in the thought that Balon Blacktyde actually exist and making every moment feel dramatic and meaningful.
I really appreciate your videos, they are very helpful and very fun to watch, even though it may not be “profitable” it is the best series on UA-cam for bandit enjoyers like us, keep going comrade
What I like most about these video’s is the story aspect of it. Your naration where you give just the perfect amount of detail about how Balon progresses from a no-name to a true ruler is what makes it enjoyable to watch for me. I might even go as far as to say that this kind of series could be compared to your typical shounen anime because it contains all the elements of someone starting from rock-bottom and climbing the powerrankings and eventually reaching his ultimate goal(s). So one could say that I like your series for the same reasons that I like shounen anime. In any case, your videos will always be entertaining to me because of your style of content and I hope that you will create a similar kind of series again in the future. Thank you very much for creating content and I hope that you’ll be able to do what you love for as long as time may allow it.
Love the story telling that arises from weaving a narrative out of randomized events. Same reason I used to spend hours reading those dwarf fortress biographies that were popular on the something awful forums. It's such a weird combination of consistent escalation and wildly random turns.
What keeps me attached to these video’s, is the hilarious use of gifs, sound bits, and humor in general. What solidifies it, is the hilarious storytelling which feels like you’re giving more life to Bannerlords
The story telling is what I like most. The only reason I didnt watch this episode until now was work and that it wasnt recommended to me. I just remembered that I loved this series. It wasnt recommended because I am not playing any bannerlord and thus didnt watch alot of videos about the game.
i really like to listen to/watch these videos while i do other things around the house. and i find your narration and sense of humor very fun to pay attention to; i also just love how you make wonderful stories out of the emergent sandbox gameplay of M&B
All hail the robber king. I like the story you weave into the videos, it mixes well with the occasional bits of humour and shitpost editing. Another reason I consume tha content is that im interested in mount and blade, and your vibe (hate that word but personalty sounds weird to me in the context) is one of the few that I can watch without being irritated
the part i think that make your videos so fun is your nice voice over the interesting clips and the roleplay makes it very interesting and makes you feel ballads is a real person with goals
The story telling is the best, the repetitive aspects could be shortened earlier in the series with a few cool kill shots like you did at the end. Loved the tactics and strategies
I like your videos because most banner lord content is unedited and basically a one to 2 hour not live stream, but your videos are condensed and entertaining.
I'd really appreciate it if you lads gave my Sons of the Forest video a watch and let me know your thoughts: ua-cam.com/video/kfdsgChhCXI/v-deo.html .
I think you'd like it, even if you don't plan on playing the game.
Love the stories, the humour, the way you progress the story with in game skills.
Also A Interaction for the Interaction God, a Comment for the Comment Throne, for the Almighty Algorithm
Also maybe tag your video's a bit for mount and blade 2 etc
I'll be sure to watch them soon!

These bandits ballads videos are great and never stop making them
Well, I'm gonna have to stop at some point. I estimate there are 2-5 episodes left until Balon achieves all of his goals. :)
@@Halcylionthen a different story can be next 😂😊 may be a hard-core imperial, pick one to revive to the Throne, but you stay as a noble not the ruler

I like the story telling. The first 5 or so were very entertaining.
I love your storytelling and editing style, tbh. Plus, you have very unique ideas for runs, like this one.
These videos are like visual novels that tell an interesting story. This is what i enjoy about them.(I also like the middle ages theme.)

@@Halcyliondefinitely this ^^
@@Halcylion well....yes! =D

It's a solid narration style, you get very in-character so it's just fun to watch and engage with :)
The evil diabolical hand rippers its cool to see some one playing the bad guy and having fun
Whoot! Been curious about this play. Hal is one of the early influences on ma play style.
my favourite thing about your videos is the roleplay and your personality

Man I love this series, I blame you for my Bannerlord addiction lol.
