I find your short videos really helpful, thanks again. Do you have any videos for new bookkeepers/accountants on Quickbooks basics, setting up a company, etc?
We don't currently, we tend to only produce videos for small business owners so nothing accountancy-trade focused sadly. Intuit have a great certification programme you can sign up to though if you are looking to work with them as an accountant.
Great video - thank you. I have been managing my ins and outs via a spreadsheet but it's doing my head in and I am going to sign up to QB. Question - can I input retrospective data into QB - i.e. can I transfer all my spreadsheet info over into the software? OR - can I link my business account to it so it does it all for me? Thanks

Yes you can. Just link bank from 1 day you want the data or manually key in the data.
Do I have to study accounting to deal with quick books?
No, it might help, but no - use the training videos they have, and if still struggling invest in some training.
Might be a silly question, but why did you change it from receipt to bill when categorising?
Be honest it’s been a while since we recorded this so I don’t know! Will have a look at what I did . .
now I scan my receipts online do I need to file them away now?
It’s still worth lobbing them in a box ‘just in case’ at this stage, but HMRC have said they accept digital receipts.
