  • What’s the difference between an Athlete and a Creator? Can you be a professional mountain biker and do either, or do you need to compete?
I believe as long as you are bringing value to the mountain bike community, you deserve the title, and that’s exactly where I’m headed (again).
This channel just crossed the 100,000 subscriber mark a few weeks ago - and this is a little bit of the journey of what it took to get here - and where we are headed now.
I made the decision to quit my job to follow this dream, which is definitely going to make things interesting!
Big thank you to ‪@TomtheTaxiDriver‬ ‪@TheShinDig‬ for all of your help (and filming!) during our London visit. You guys are the best! Stay tuned for the podcast that we did after our day at UA-cam HQ - I'll link it here as soon as it's ready.
Thank you “UA-cam Chris” for always supporting me and being a huge part of this journey.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who has subscribed to the channel and watched the videos that I have worked so hard to create. It makes it all worthwhile to know that this is helpful for your riding.

Thanks so much! There was a quote that I repeated to myself on the way to the warehouse in the morning: "People overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in five." Just like the practice makes progress mantra that I always share, it's all those little steps forward that get us where we want to go.

You are living many rider's dream, so it is already working. If you worry about future financial situation, you would also worry about it with your previous job, so nothing have changed. I have been watching your videos for a few years. I like your skill demos, but I would also recommand you adding more culture and history content about this sport, so your channel can resist the ever increasing pressure from new riders with better skills.

I discovered super rider when I saw your short from the comps at 2022 Bentonville. It was so cool seeing a pov and analysis from something I witnessed personally. Since then Super Rider and your work with Shin Dig have provided me with such a sense of connection to this sport. Your knowledge of trials history as well as interviews with notable riders has made this lonely sport feel like a community I belong to. There are a lot of subject matter experts but your gift seems to be your focus on making developing riders feel welcome and encouraged. I feel like trials is experiencing a new surge in popularity and you are a major spoke in that wheel. Thanks for all the hard work so far and congrats on the 100k! I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

Hi, Aaron. I will always remember the Twitch days with much fondness. It was fun waking up on Tuesdays and Thursdays to join your Twitch community and learn about trials. It feels weird watching you close out the Shred Spot. I wish you a tremendous amount of success in all your future endeavors.and look forward to watching all your content.

Thanks Martin! Your support has meant a lot, I'm so glad that you joined us on Twitch during that era of the channel. I learned a lot during that time, too. Excited for this next chapter, and who knows...maybe we'll open another Shred Spot in the future. Fingers crossed!

Your story is super inspirational. I used to race Moto from 5-16. I went to college and got a job, had a family, but I still missed the bikes. Finally I have some stability and got into downhill mtb. I just started last year but at almost 30 I felt I’m starting too late. Thanks for showing that it doesn’t have to be close to over yet.

Thanks! You've got plenty of time - I did the same thing, sort of put the bike down and focused on the family thing for a while. Now they're growing up and I can ride with them. It's never too late!

Hey! I am a 17 year old kid who one day wants to reach this goal but I feel it’s not realistic because it’s not a “real job” what tips do you have to kinda of grow a channel when starting out? Another reason I want to reach this goal is because I’d so much rather do something I love to do everyday, rather than work a 9-5.

    • @SuperRiderTV
      @SuperRiderTV  4 місяці тому

My best tip is to start now and stay consistent, don't let anything get in the way of your vision. It takes a long time to get rolling, but eventually you'll start to build momentum. Put in the time now, learn as much as you can, and even if running a channel doesn't work out immediately, the stuff you learn while you're doing it will help you out in a lot of other ways. It's worth it!

This channel has been incredibly influential on my personal riding and bike skills, I’ve used Aaron’s techniques over and over to get better at some of the basics I hadn’t ever bothered to get better at. It has leveled up my riding so much more than I ever would have believed. I feel much more confident, balanced and in control than I did before discovering this channel and putting in the effort required to obtain some of these skills. The breakdowns make it super simple to follow at each of the techniques steps. Love the content man and congrats on quitting your job to chase this dream. I hope to achieve a 1/10th of the success you have had 🤙

I’d encourage everyone to follow their dream. My only advice for work reliant upon fitness is that every ten years, work out what you can still do in ten years time to stay in the running & relevant. Aging can’t be escaped but by using some care you won’t get old. Adapt your product gradually, tailor it to fellow riders of a similar age(?) and you’ll be fine 👍👍 BEST OF LUCK from Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Aaaron, you have the passion for bikes that can play and bike handling. It runs deep for many of us. That passion is what brought me to frame design/build back in the 80's. Suspension wasn't a thing at the time I began gluing 4130 and titanium tubes together and slamming wheels between em. I delved into suspension in 1985.
While you close one chapter (Shred Spot) and open another, with a global scope, things are happening!! You were able to ditch corporate. Good stuff, mate!
