How’d it go? Im in the middle of enlisting in the navy and I’m thinking of doing IS
I was IS for 6 years. Loved every minute of it
Same! Did we work together outside AAB or in LCV.... Remember your OpSec shipmate
At MEPS, I was luckily able to get this job, I ship out for boot camp in June 2023.
what was your asvab score ?
Is this job widely avaible
This is my 2nd favorite rate in the navy. If CTR isn’t available, I’m picking this rate when I get to Meps
update Aug 27 2021: ended up with IT/ATF. none of the intel rates were available :(
IT is dope!
💪💪💪
Awesome! I hope you enjoy your time in the Navy.
Hype af to enlist, this is the goal IS
I REALLY want this to be my rate when I go to MEPS. Everybody wish me luck !
Did u get it?
i'm an IS for the Navy Reserves. If anyone has any questions im more than happy to answer.
What was the schooling like?
What does your asvab score need to be?
Macaroon Lima schooling’s was kind of intense. You are required to study a minimum of 2 hours a day in A school and a minimum of 3 hours a day in C school but most of us found that we would stay longer than that.
Ry I don’t know the specific asvab score needed. However, I received an 80 on mine.
What exactly are we doing in IS... I only really see this video talking about it but I just want the specifics of it.
The most powerful force on earth. Undeniable fact.
I’m heading to MEPS tomorrow to pick my rate and I’m praying that I’m able to get this job
I miss being an IS ! #GONAVY
HOOYAH!
I can’t wait to become an IS. One more year to go!
Why so long of a wait?
You have to get a good score on your ASVAB trust me lol
Good luck, my rate was IS, I was designed as an imaginary analyst. Loved my job, except sometimes I was incorrectly called a Yomen.
@@OcelopilliI got approved for IS with a 55 on the Asvab. i guess it goes based off what catagories you did best in
@@marciewright9670what was it like
Godbless NAVY!
Do you get the guarantee to help seals in their missions or other special units?
no you have no guarantee to work within NSW or other special units. you screen for those commands, most IS's are stationed on ships or big joint commands..
I can't wait!
12 more months!!!
I just chose IS! I ship out may 2021
I’m gonna try to get IS when I go to meps here soon, wish me luck guys
IS2 many years ago.... Loved it!
Just went to MEPS and signed my contract for IS. I ship out July 9th 2024
Is this usually a job for college graduates or high school graduates. If highschool, what classes should I focus on?
A high school diploma or equivalent is required to become an Enlisted Sailor in the intelligence field in the Navy. You should have good speaking, writing, and record-keeping skills; a good working aptitude of math; and the capability to do highly detail-oriented work. However, we do teach you a lot of what you'll need to know as well!
@@americasnavy do you need to be very good at math or have the basic level of math?
We will teach you anything you need to know!
@@michaelfojas5561 basic level
This.... this is what I want to do
I would like this rate
Go either CTN or IS do not do CTR.
I got this rate today and ship out for basic on July-5 or somewhere around there
Any advice as my son is enlisting as a Navy Intelligence Specialist and departs for Bootcamp in Feb 2020 and A School at Dam Neck, VA in May
MrDeputy83 don’t go to boot camp in the winter, it’s cold as hell, icy
Your son chose the best rate in the navy. Don’t worry about it he’s gonna love it. 🤙🏼⚓️
Dam neck is fun. Not always easy but definitely worth it.
James Delgado can you elaborate? I am interested in being an IS and qualify with my practice asvab, but at 25 w/ progress in a sales career am wondering if I should go AD or reserve. Thanks in advance!
all Navy Intell are working together. Navy is the thin line between 2 infinities, space, and the ocean.
Anyone else notice the Russian flag 1:30 ?
lol
The best CO in the Navy 0:33
hoping i can cross rate to this
How does IS compare to IT anybody know ?
Sailors in the IT rating manage communication operations and networks aboard Navy vessels, and play a vital role in everything from electronic mail systems to special intelligence and information warfare systems.
As for IS, Sailors in that rating collect intel on everything from data on foreign cultures to enemy movements to current weather forecasts. Then, use it to create cohesive intelligence briefings for high-ranking Navy officials.
Song?
Im thinking about this MOS any advice or comments for me
Don't give up! You got this 💪
My goal

Lol, meme role

Master of Arms or IS
Jin Park IS all the way man. I may be biased since this is my rate but the quality of life isn’t bad. Sure it’s a desk job but on ships you will always have access to internet. I do give MA props though they keep our installations safe
Michael Dodge Hello, I’m 18 and trying to decide on a job in the Navy I’m really thinking IS but could you possibly email me so I could ask some more specific questions? Thanks. Tymoore.sc@gmail.con
Pick IS!!! You can get way better jobs after the military that pay way better. And the quality of life is better, especially on a ship where you have A/C. And you can rank up faster as an IS.
how is that even a comparison
IS is a really good job because you get top secret clearance I'm pretty sure. You can also use that for jobs out of the military.
IT or IS?
IS is a common rate for enlisted NSW canadates
is it ?
Yes the enlisted rate is
@@sladetuner8661 you mean shitbags that failed out of NSW programs? cause yeah theres a lot there, being an IS isnt busting open doors and shooting bad guys.
this is extremely false
@@joeb5450, Wrong
instead of 0651, I should have picked this.
And why RU commenting on this
*Based on. “Based off” is incorrect.
Nerds.
