- TDU2 really needs to fix this, there is no way that it can be called a police "chase" if all they are doing is spawning in every possible direction in front of you, then proceed to try to crash into you head-on to stop you. You can be the best driver in the world, but it wouldn't make a difference if there were hundreds of cops all going the wrong way trying to take you out head-on, luckily the Nissan GT-R is awd so I don't get stuck, but any rwd car might.
I roughly counted and came up with the approximation of 70 cop cars that spawned in those two chases police cops
I remember the cop chases being alot more intense than this

Woah. I never knew about the cop chases in TDU2 were so intense and had so much content. I never got into a cop chase the entire time I played this game lol. I used to avoid the cops like the plague.
Especially online when you were prompted to be police and take down another real player!
In TDU 1, when you crash into a traffic or police car, they smash out of the way. In TDU2, you crash into traffic or police, you just come to a stop. they need to fix that.

I dislike the cop AI in this game. they swarm from all directions and they are like freaking tanks when you ram them as they are not moving.
for ps3 I'm on a one way street and they all come heading towards me like walls. great game but it needs better cop coding

I guess everyone uses EMPs these days :P I think the cops talking in English is weird, they should have made them speak Catalan, at least as an alternative, even if no one gets it.
That's not NFS. You can't break their cars and dropping spike strips despite the fact that they have EMP's :/

This really isn’t much of a chase. It’s more like “try and survive while the entire police department hunts you down”, hence the timer in the top right corner.

I watched the whole 5:40 thing. TDU 2 was so different to any other racing game. It had emotions like no others. The police chases were though. I played it lately again after like a decade or what, and the police chases surprised me by how difficult they’ve been compared to nowadays games.

Oh man I remember starting a pursuit on this game I believe it was early 2012 and my chest sunk like no tomorrow. I played this game to avoid police chases as much as possible because I wanted to be a law abiding citizen in the game just like real life. Then my intrusive thoughts told me to hit a police car and bam a police chase. I was thinking to myself, “What have I done?” My heart was racing so fast I started to cry and cry and boy I learned to screw around with the Spanish cops ever again in that game. I was 10 years old. This was one of those video games you did not want to be in a police chase. I rather would have been in police chases such as Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, Need For Speed: The Run, Need For Speed: Underground PSP, or Need For Speed Most Wanted (2012). After early 2013, I stopped playing car games all together and started playing Train Simulator, Sim City and Minecraft. That year I started playing games on the iPad rather than the console. Nowadays I am adult and I have no time to play games maybe watch them once in a while.

The Nissan GTR in this game sounds like it has a diesel engine.

@danno0099 You get the viper if you reach rank 35 in being a cop (full time in you're garage) and at rank 15 you get a police uniform and at rank 8 police stickers
@Michael55fication If there is another player in your "instance" that your playing in and he starts a chase, the cops will call you asking if you want to be a cop.

The only way you can have fun with the police chases is going in the city, the cops that just ram you are so annoying

Like every single racing game I've played has the issue with police spawning infront of you and nothing else, MCLA, NFSMW, SRS. Why do all games consider difficult police as teleporting infront of you?

It's sooo hard to evade them! the make me so nervous. when I try to pass them they speed up and ram into me so i crash. Then they all swarm around me so i can't possibly get free! it's so unfair. and i agree. they respawn every possible direction and they spawn like every 2 seconds. :(

I'm VERY dissapointed to see that they brang back the cops in TDU2....the cops is what ruined the first game for me, I mean how is it fair to charge me based on my level? (especially when I drive a slow car?)

@MADCastro2010 it's worse then TDU1 I can tell. And the Spanish police doesn't have red lights, only blue lights.
And their siren is more like the English siren, instead of the American siren.

nice driving, but i think i'll stick to Need For Speed cop chases, as they're intense, but fair and maybe even more fun, i hope in TDU3 they are gonna update the cop chases to be less crazy, and that it would get some more stuff for the police, hope that you can also get out of their sight like NFS, and alot other games.
