    The aim of this video is to show how they survive or promote shopback? Doesn't make sense. In dire situations, controlling expenditure is important, while this video is sort of promoting expenditure. Cashbacks are not relevant at all when one is struggling.

    Can relate to this story, when times are tough, really difficult to manage finances, especially when the baby and the house came in for us, we depend on every bit of kindness offered us by our family but cannot expect them to take care of us totally.

    Can't get the Covid Support Grant because of 'IC address'? Lol just say it la, you don't qualify for the grants because you live in a private property. Why the play of words?
    Very hard to be sympathetic to this couple, seems like their circumstance is entirely brought to themselves. Credit card debt, choosing to live in a private property, choosing to quit their jobs despite expecting a new born, using cashback and worst of all not doing proper planning.
    Terrible video, just a horrible ad for Shopback.

      Yes true, their house looks expensive though not as if they are living in Government Aided Flats...I myself find it hard to sympathize with their situation ..I think there are way poorer and broke people out there in Singapore than this couple. Those people deserve to be interviewed for the Shopback Ad.

    Despite their situation, they still sound so cheerful and positive! 😭😭😭 The pandemic really took a toll on our mental health, especially myself, I finally found something that took myself out of that dark bubble. It was something that I struggled with since the pandemic. Really admire people who are able to smile through it. Good to see that they are staying positive especially in front the of their child, so she can grow up properly. I hope they continue to remain strong for themselves and their child and will be able to turn their financial situation around soon. Jiayou! 💪 💪

      @Katrina Yong of course I read whole video before commenting. My point was that they should have enough savings to last them before having a baby. Either one of them losing jobs is a normal norm or either a switch of jobs. Having a job does not mean your financial stable. Before you start pointing your finger at me. Get my point before you start saying Im criticising. And if your so broke that either one of you cannot survive. It just means you shouldn't have a baby? I honestly don't know why singaporeans like to have babies. Fyi. Im singaporean myself.

    • @starsbabyable
      @starsbabyable 3 роки тому +5

      @Katrina Yong Tbh there is enough babies going around. And financial stablity is whether you have savings. Because ultimately when you have a baby you have to have to dig into savings. It is no point if im buying a 5 room flat and paying off with that mortgage and then having a baby with a paycheck that can last me month to month right? So financial stablity equates to savings. Which is also why many singaporeans went broke during cb and cannot pay for their new aquired nest!

    The Covid-19 pandemic really left many people in troubling and hard situations. It wasn't easy for everyone and if I were in this position I will try whatever means necessary to help myself and my family. At the end of the day, they are not in the worst state, I've personally seen people in more dire situations, but it's still quite bad la.. we shouldn't discount their entire stories based on what we see in a 7 min video.
