Keep up the good work. The audio could be a bit better but I got all the infos when comparing battle mats, I needed! :)

Thanks for the cc. Yeah the mic I was using at the time wasnt really suited for non desk audio. I am glad you got what you wanted out of the video.

Price point on these is good but have to say I hate the reflections on them. Neoprene mats are the best alternative but tend to be twice the price. Although as mentioned below PVC is probably best for sea mats as the sea is shiny!

Thanks for the comment. Yeah I agree and its hard not to see your point. I would say if your buying one mat, buy neoprene. If you need many different settings, start pvc and upgrade.

Thanks for this video. Such a simple question answered. Currently looking at the PWorks mats and debating wether to buy the cheaper PVC/Vinyl version of a mat I’m looking at or the Neoprene (mouse mat) style. Cost difference is €14.90, the glossiness does kind of put me off but I am a thrifty sort 😅

First of all thanks for the comments. Since this video I have bought several pvc mats and a couple of mouse mats. For me it comes down to how often I want to use a certain biome. If rarely I get Pvc, if often I splash out on a mouse mat.

@@welshminiatureboardgamer356 you’re welcome mate. Very handy
I opted eventually for the ‘Realm of shadows’ mat by Deep Cut Studios in PVC

Neoprene all the way, you will not regret it. They are heavy and hold down onto the table so much better and they are not shiny.

That’s a nice looking mat. They are my choice for sea mats (slightly glossy) in my opinion too.

Thanks for the comment. Yeah I can see they would a good option for water effect mats, although alot of the glossiness can be lightening

@@welshminiatureboardgamer356 yeah, I’ve got fleece mats from geek villain for bolt action which are terrific, but pvc I really like for blood red skies and cruel seas.

@@lesliestevenson5261 Fleece is a type of mat I have never even seen in life. Bolt action looks such a brilliant game, not sure i am ready for another game though.

@@welshminiatureboardgamer356 I couldn’t recommend geek villain mats more. They are brilliant. The fact you can make undulations and stuff really makes the table look brill and adds that bit more reality. One to ask Santa for!
