Thanks for the comment. Never really paid much attention to the way I speak, like most people I would imagine. I will have to look back at the video and see if I can see what you mean, and whether retraining my voice cadence and tone would be possible for me.

OK just looked at the video and I think I know what you mean. I think its because I want to say as much as I can in a short amount of time, not wanting to make a video longer than it has to be. So I start normal pace and run out of air in my lungs? Is this what you mean?

@@welshminiatureboardgamer356 Thats it! It does sound like you are running out of air. Your initial voice at the start of each sentence is great! Don’t rush then. Pace yourself, breathe normally and give us the real you, your actual voice. It sounds strong, assertive and informative for a couple of seconds. Make it a bit longer each time.

Thanks for the continued support. The base texture on the grey bases, is a home made filler/ paint and pva mix. I use it to fill pudding bases as well.

Thanks for the comment. Yeah I completely know what you mean about looking at unpainted miniatures. Its part of the reason why my reviews always have my painted examples. I was always unsure about buying minis I hadn't seen painted. Thanks about the comment about my painting. I definitely don't consider myself a good painter. Where I used to see this as a bad thing, now I see it as a way of showing average paint jobs. A realistic and easily accomplishable paint jobs, not professionally paint 100 hour paint jobs.

Thanks for the comment. Yeah I dont really worry too much about the reality of miniatures, thats why I paint fantasy mostly. I would think most would wear some form of armour to if we are talking reality, such as gambeson vest at very least. Even in medieval era they protected their inferior troops with some kind of armour. Perhaps a leather skull cap to to make them feel alittle more protected. The sculptor however did go for that look and thats fine by me.

Thank you very much for the kind comments, much appreciated. Yeah as much as newer minis are better and there is no denying it. Old metal cast miniatures have a special place for me. Even with all the extra work involved with cleaning older casts.

Yeah funny I didnt even notice that, but you are absolutely right. Being of an older generation I have a few of the old Mithril and still love their sculpts.

Thanks, yeah I either enjoyed painting these minis or I enjoyed changing my style up a bit. Rangers is by far may favourite game, it has so much in such an easy rule set. Rangers and Deadzone are the only 2 miniatures games my wife actually enjoys. Always glad to feed a fellow gamers addiction to buying even more miniatures!

Thanks for the comment and support as always. As always I have a video coming out in 2 weeks where I kitbash these minis. As a little glimpse ahead and to answer your question. Obviously you can kitbash them, but with either alittle more work or a need to not sweat the details. The lizard men have three fingers so a straight up swap will mean extra digits, and most frostgrave minis have sleeves. With me putting out a kitbashing video every month, I just do quick and dirty conversions. So for me it would be more cut the weapon off the frostgrave mini instead of the hand. Also they are slender armed, so goblin arms etc work better. Hope that helps.

Yeah they have done a really good job supporting this version of Hero Quest. From what I remember and have read since, the support from the companies for the original was rather limited. It was the fans who kept it alive. I agree and disagree with the if you liked the old one you will like the new. Yes if you liked the gameplay and what the game is, you will like the new one to. Knowing how attached to the smallest thing people can get. I am not so sure they would give it the chance. Different minis is enough to trigger some people.

@welshminiatureboardgamer356 well, you are certainly not wrong in that. When it was first announced and we started seeing the first images of the new product, some people were really upset at the art style. A few poor benighted souls even got angry that they were offering alt gender versions of the characters. However, I think that the overall quality of the new release has won most of the complainers over. At least, I can say I know many people who played and loved the original who have fully embraced the new version. I am happy to say that I still have my original copy. 🙂

@welshminiatureboardgamer356 I sympathize! I have stuff like that. Maybe shop around for a nice vintage set? It's not your original, but it will be your very own. And/or.. Take those odds and ends from your original set and put them in a shadowbox, or incorporate them into a small HQ diorama. Those can be fun ways to honor your experiences and memories of the game

@@welshminiatureboardgamer356 Yeah, it's a modern setting but with a Alien monsters trying to take over the Earth and your little band of hapless heroes are out there trying to stop them. I don't mind it actually, very low model count. Opportunities for converting and kit-bashing and crafting terrain are there as well. Games aren't that complex to play either.

Yeah he does, but according to this old guy I knew they cant even shoot as accurate as stormtroopers. Does make you wonder how accurate you have to be to shoot absolutely massive tracks! Thanks for the comment and have fun painting.

Aye but you probably paint more carefully than myself. The colour was Army painter speedpaint, sand golem. Love using that colour over off white to make a really interesting colour.

Thanks for the kind comment. Yeah do'nt get me started on the technical short comings of the youtube platform, but hey its what we got! Ghost Archipelago was frorstgrave 1.5 and you can see that immediately if you ever read the rules. It was the bridge between the original and 2nd edition. I do love these old school style metal miniatures they just feel more satisfying in the hand. Thanks again and take care
