Garmin leash for mountain biking

I've had my Garmin Edge 530 fall off my mountain bike twice - after spending 20-30 minutes each time, I finally found it lying on the side of the trail. The first time was due to a real crash, so I knew where to look. But the second time, it was a mystery. I wasted a lot of time retracing my ride looking carefully for my device. I finally found it in the grass where I had laid my bike down while I watched some friends ride a section. I think my knee must have hit the Garmin as I dismounted - I was in a hurry to record some video, so I sort of jumped off my bike quickly. In any case, I got lucky - it's much better to use this little leash to avoid the problem. I'm a mountain biker and this is definitely needed even for the people who crash a lot less frequently than I do :-)
It's super easy to attach and detach the leash to your bike (you have to detach it each time you want to charge your device). I prefer this one since it is stretchy. It cost $6 and is well worth it to save you from buying a new Garmin for several hundred dollars.
