The coating is extremely hydrophobic after all this time. Definitely a testament to this product.
Absolutely love Ethos after using their Resist spray! Beyond slick and glossy!!!
Nice. Was thinking about trying the newer Ethos Graphene Max formula on 1 of my vehicles.
You used 2 fantastic products.... from a fantastic company....can't go wrong with Ethos....great video
Definitely!👍👌
Nailed it on what coating your car is all about👌🏼
Awesome! Thanks for the follow up video Chelsea. Keep up the great work! 👊😎
Beauty job. Your videos have really helped improve my own work.
Very very nice! Thank you so much for doing follow-ups, I really appreciate them!
I would like to try that line. As I recall it was one of the better sheeting coatings in your recent test.
Very impressive, I’ve not used a coating yet, have been using resist & defy, which I’m very happy with. I may have to try it next spring.
Thank you for the continued great videos
Hell yeh , did mine bout 2 months ago and its been raining for 2 weeks straight here in west australia.... driving in the rain is amazing lol...and the resist is great even on glass I couldn't believe it !! and their stuff goes a long way for little
🙏
Chelsea - have you, or are you planning on doing a review of v2.0 of this graphene coating by any chance ? It would be interesting to see some real world results in terms of ease of application, gloss, or durability improvements over the original version.
I have a bottle of it and hope to soon
Thanks for the report and demo. I just recommended this combo top a friend of mine. I will advise him to check out your video.
Never got anything bad from ethos . There never used the graphene coating but used there matrix before .
There ceramic wax is amazing also just not in hot sun .
Been using Resist to maintain Fusso Coat which is my favourite base sealant and I love it! I love doing a rinseless twice a week at the coin wash and been thinking about buying Defy for that in the future. Only problem is getting it here in the UK!
Defy is a GREAT waterless wash
Ethos looks pretty darn nice.
15 minute wash, that's great!
Are you sure its not just the topper that is working. And was size bottle did you need to cover your vehicle ? Thanks great video
Wow, that looks fantastic, Chelsea! This is probably one I'm going to try. I just bought a new 2021 vehicle and put Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating on it. I maintain it with the TW HS Ceramic Wash and Wax and their HS Ceramic Wet Wax as a drying aid. It has just been a month, but so far I'm well pleased. I'm new to all this, though, so I don't have anything really to compare it to.
Would
I’ve used the same TW product line up on my ‘15 Accord and it’s held up well for over a year with washing regularly. I live in northwestern PA and the car is exposed to crappy winter weather and road salt. I’ve been very pleased with their products. I think I’m finally going to strip it down, clay, and reapply. I feel that even if it didn’t last as long as it had I would still be pleased because it’s so easy to apply.
@@95Civictuner That's good to know, Jon. Thanks! It looks like part of my reply to Chelsea got cut off somehow. What I was wondering was, what would I need to do if I wanted to eventually remove the TW Spray Coating and try something like the Ethos products? Would I need to polish (out of my comfort zone right now)? Or could I just use a paint prep spray, iron remover, and clay? You mentioned you were considering stripping yours down. What do you use to do that? Thanks!
@@mhlittleton6493 You could use TW MAX Power car wash. It changes PH level based on the amount you use. They have instructions on the mix ratio. I grabbed some from Walmart. Has a pleasant citrus sent too. That will strip of the coating and then you can clay (if needed), iron remover, and then apply the new coating.
@@95Civictuner Awesome! Thanks again, Jon. I appreciate your input!
Try the chemical route first to strip it off but if you notice that the coating still looks present (hydrophobics will bead if still there) then you may need to do a light polish OR even something like Mckees 37 coating prep polish. Can be done by hand but will help remove the old coating and prep for the new coating. You dont even need to panel prep before coating if you use that. I did a video on it a while back if you need a reference.
Great products
I'm sold! wow!
Nice car 👍 I don’t see many of those in Southern California
I'm definitely wanting to get the grapene max coating on my 2022 kia forte gt I've heard the max can last 7 years yeah I had the adams polishes graphene spray fail on me after 2 months
Chelsea can you describe what has been your experience with Ethos Graphene Coating in contrast with Undrdog The Sauce Pro?
Different applications but very similar in performance to date. Im hoping to do a test panel update soon so y'all can see how they're holding up.
Question, can you apply Resist at the first wash following the initial application of the coating, just did the Ethos Graphene Matrix coating V2.0 last week and Saturday is the 7th day.
Which do you like better ….. ethos or mckees 37 graphene coating ? And why ?
Mckees 37 as its WAY easier and more affordable and seems to be very durable.
Still holding up ok
Yes!
Have you used the tire dressing?
Just curious whether you've worked with any Optimum Pro products and how they stack up to others you've used.
Do you have an update on the Undrdog lite and pro?
Incoming soon
How do you compared the Ethos graphene to McKee’s 37, especially the 2.0 10 year. I currently have Adams Graphene Advanced on my 2019 mustang and it works amazing. Been roughly 6 months, I maintain very well also but thinking about McKees for my new 2024 mustang once it arrives. But then again, I know this Adams is great so. Tough choice.
So far I am on the fence with the 2.0 coating. Have been really happy with the og 5 yr graphene though and my ethos lasted 2 yrs before starting to fail on the trunk
@@attention2detailswchelsea interesting! I wish there were more videos of all these products. That’s why I’m thankful for your channel. You post a ton of good content that is right down my alley. Thanks for the help and killer content!
Do you use the Resist on trim and glass?
Yes
do you reccomend dirt buster or cherry foam from superior products for coated vehicles or whats a good soap for maintenance washes that isn't too pricey
Cherry foam was designed more for a foam cannon, dirt buster was designed more for a bucket wash. Both are safe for a coated vehicle it all just depends on your preferred method of application.
@@attention2detailswchelsea oh okay good to know I usually foam the vehicle with the cannon and use the same soap for my bucket when I contact wash, thank you 🙏
Chelsea, Did you coat your plastics with it as well? I'm about to order their 2.0. I coated my car with GraphX and had some major issues with it on my plastics.
No I used Cerakote trim for my trim
Have you tried Ethos max graphene yet?
Not yet but hope to soon
Off subject here but wanted to let you know I have a 2012 kia which is like new but now lives outside. I've had trouble with faded trim for years and the only thing that lasts is CoverAll. But no matter how applied, you have spots of it everywhere over everything in the vicinity. I bought a Rustoleum product, I imagine similar to Ceracote? I am very dissapointed. I applied it correctly and it only looked good for a few days. Now already fading and showing marks. I've watched you try several trim products. Got any good reccomendations? The sun is brutal here in South Carolina, but I pretty much had the same fading when I lived in Pa.
Stay tuned. Cerakote update coming soon.

Do you have any suggestions for coating around the emblems (e.g., outback, 325i, etc.)? It seems like it would be awkward to use the applicator around those letters and numbers.
I use the applicator and am just very meticulous with leveling and buffing off to not have high spots
Have you ever tried coating a hood that has borderline failing clear coat? My buddy has a 2013 Benz. I denied it because I can see the faint shadow of the clear coat failing in the middle of the hood.
No because it wont stop the issues from happening under the ceramic coating. Typically those kind of vehicles I do a paint enhancement, sealant and call it a day.
What car dryer are you using? Do you have a video on it?
ua-cam.com/video/iWmX2eP1ccc/v-deo.html
How do you feel the wipe off is with ethos graphene coating after applying? Is it grabby like most coatings or is it easy and slick feeling say compared to carpro cquartz?
Its slightly grabby
@@attention2detailswchelsea Thank you Chelsea. Keep up the great work!!👍🏻👍🏻
Would you be interested in trying a couple of our ceramics?
Sure! Always interested in trying out new products
@@attention2detailswchelsea Great! How should we get ahold of you? I mean, I doubt you want all your contact info thrown out here. Haha
@@blackrhinocarcare1087 they find it anyway.🤣 email at Chelsea@a2dlancaster.com
@@attention2detailswchelsea I sent you an email. Keep up the great videos and have a great day.
So you use Resist every time you wash it?
no I do not I experiment with a lot of different Toppers and products that companies send me but typically every time I wash it I am topping it
Do you use clay or clay mitt on this coating?
Either or but i normally use a clay mitt and iron remover
There seem to be mixed feelings about using a contact decon. On coatings...ceramic or graphene.
I have no issues doing a maintenance decon on a vehicle. Lubrication is key but some can still get clogged and a good clay bar or chemical decon can revive it.
@@attention2detailswchelsea lubrication is the key to alot of things 💁♂️
Ethos is expensive!
You get what you pay for.
@@ilikechickensausages2075 I’ll have to disagree! I’ve used many products on all four of my cars and with comparisons, I get the same results with other products that cost less.
i detail for a living, alot of coatings and companys require a topper, the ones that's dont take care of it seems to fade quicker
@@banshee100 which topper do you use? Thx
@@tundrawhisperer4821 Dura coating technology is what I've been using their graphene coating $210 a bottle seems to work really well but I'm looking into doing a different coding simply because of the price
