I'm a beginner but i love fishing. I was planning on getting myself a net & i like tge one yiu just got. Where did you buy yours? Do you live in the Sacramento area? If so, i would love to tag along with you on yiur upcoming fishing trips & get advices/tips from an expert like you.
I got my net on Amazon (www.amazon.com/dp/B01FU0GHU6/ref=twister_B091SDGQ7X?_encoding=UTF8&th=1). I'm not an expert, but thank you. I'm planning on heading to Camanche Lake south shore pond for a few hours tomorrow if you can make it.
Sure thing, the main line goes through a hollow tube in the middle of the water bobber followed by a bead and then swivel. On the other end of the swivel is where I tie my 5 foot leader line and at the end of the leader line is a size 12 treble hook. When you cast it out with powerbait, the bobber will go down to the bottom and the powerbait will float up as high as the leader will allow it. I hope that helps.
Yes Chua, the bobber is filled with water which gives it the weight to cast further and to sink to the bottom. The power bait will float up so fish can see it.
The powerbait in my setup floats. If your line/hook setup is too heavy then it can result in the powerbait sinking and can be corrected by using smaller line/hook or using a larger blob of powerbait.
@@calloftheoutdoors8941 I use a very light bobber so the trout don’t get spooked by feeling the tug. I also play with the depth a bunch until I figure out where they are suspended.
@@edgarisaac668 I actually saw a video on UA-cam a while back and they were using cheese too! I was like what?! But they were hooking them trouts with it.

You upgraded your net!! 👍
I was tired of fish jumping out of my previous net lol
on that bobber powerbait setup, can you explain how you have it set up?

Thank you so you don't close off the bobber. I was trying to understand how your using powerbait that floats with a bobber. 😊
Powerbait ftw!!
Bro using the clear bottom do sink to the bottom and catch trout using powerbait?

Do you find that your powerbait floats or sinks?
Ps - just found your channel and really enjoy it!

@@michaeldilbeck9259 Thank you Michael. I really love spending time outdoors so it's actually my pleasure to show you my fishing trips.
What reel is that Daiwa?
For the powerbait rod it was a Daiwa Exceler 1000 reel and the jigging rod had a Shimano Vanford
What length are the rods?
@alexandergoetz3255 6'6" for the powerbait rod and 5'10" for the jigging rod
I like to throw spoo s for trout...they will hit and crappie as well
Spoons for crappie too?! Gotta try that for myself.
Float nation get em
You got that right man! 😀
What the name of lake
This is Camanche Lake(South Shore Pond). Thanks for watching .
I use canned corn. It’s cheap and mimics the pellets they are fed. I limit out everytime
I've tried canned corn without much luck. I must not be using it right. How do you fish it Joseph? Under bobber?

Never had luck on corn. But had luck on good ol velvetta cheese

Why such a long leader? Crazy amount of weeds in that lake or what?
These trout tend to stay close to the top during the colder months so you need your bait to be about a feet or less below the surface of the water.
Rooster tail
Gotta be attentive and fast to avoid gut hooking them. Can’t do that if u have another reel in ur hand.
You made a good point 😄
