My husband is obsessed with Pikes Peak! We “drive up” once/twice a year when we are in The Springs visiting our son and family. Son and husband are planning a short hike on the trail this summer. You three inspire so many. I’m binge watching everything you’ve done!
Stumbled across your CDT video and now am enjoying other content you have produced! Great job and love the encouragement you offer to others to get out and live! Cheers!
The Wander Women are truly Wonder Women! That was a marathon of a hike - quite an impressive accomplishment! Stay well ladies, and keep inspiring the rest of us!
Stumbled across your channel planning our summer hiking trips😁, WOW you ladies are hardcore! Absolutely beautiful shots on the trail. Hopefully we can still get out to Colorado this summer 🤞🏼. Beautiful video and nice channel 👍🏻! Can't wait to hike that monster 😁
Wow, you made it. Super hard, no joke--thirteen miles straight up (and down). So very impressive. We drove up one year and we had to wait on the way down while our brakes cooled off.
I have to admit when I saw you were attempting a 26 mile day with 7500ft of elevation gain, I just assumed you were stopping 1/2 way. Wow, I'm very impressed, that's not easy for any age. Very inspirational! I was disappointed to see that monstrosity at the top of the peak. Can't they just leave it alone for everyone to enjoy the summit as nature intended? Besides that, what an awesome hike and views!
You ladies are amazing me constantly. You had such beautiful weather while you hiked. We had temps in the 30's and snow flurries here, on Mother's Day!!!!!!!!!!! Great video. Take care, be safe.
You Wonder Women are amazing! I was out of breath just watching you. I have asthma, so I would never have made it to the top, but I would like to try to go as far as I can. I am so impressed by you ladies. Thanks for the great video.
What an amazing hike! My wife got altitude sickness driving up Rocky Mt National Park, just over 12,000 ft. You did so awesome on such a long hike at that altitude. Great job!
Wow, I didn’t think people got altitude sickness driving through the park. When I went to CO to go the park I was told to be careful of altitude sickness and that I should drink a lot of water. I was thinking that was only to be cautious when hiking and exerting yourself. I don’t recall feeling anything while driving into and out of the park but maybe I did feel really exhausted later when we hadn’t done that much activity.
@@jersey282 I drove up Pikes Peak in late 1990 and ended up with altitude sickness for two days (headaches and vomited twice) later due to the lack of oxygen. No exertion necessary. Just a lack of oxygen when you aren't used to that altitude (I live at sea-level). Was told to drink more water next time.
Wow! Super hard day!! But it was spectacular! Thanks for filming and taking us along! Hope you can do some more!! Yes beauty and the mountain wasnt bad either!
first Wonder Women video for me! I 've shared this w/ my wife. Very inspired by your tenacity and large body of achievement! Love the tags at the end about Beauty and Connect with people.... ' it's better out there ' dbruce
Hi girls!! I have been watching you since your AT adventure began. We just missed each other in Hot Springs....I don't know if you remember me messaging you but I was asleep on the trail head while you guys were at the hostel there...LOL... Anyways, it has always been my dream to come out and climb pikes peak. I was planning on it this year, I don't know if I will make it with the COVID stuff going on but I had some questions for you about the Colorado trail. Is there a way on here to DM you with a few questions? Let me just say you guys have been my ALL TIME favorite thru hikers to watch!!! I LOVE your adventures .....
Waow! Great job! 26 miles in a day on a flat surface is hard, but with the altitude it's extreem! To bad people can also drive to the top. You should have been there on your own, enjoying the view and the peace!
Hikers say the same about Mt. Washington (NH), especially thru hikers. Only Katahdin (in Maine - end of AT) doesn't have a road to the top. You want to see that you have to climb it (5,269 feet). Not a 14,000 footer but still a hard climb.
Love that mountain. Has the COG railway been taken out now? I knew they stopped running the trains a while back but looks like no tracks to cross at the end of the trail up top...
That's what I thought when they were at the top. Where is Lynn with the car ? Ha ha ! Don't blame her for turning around. Looked really steep at the top. And I've been up there (drove up) and paid for it two days later. I ended up with 2 days of headaches and vomited twice (once on the side of the road in Keebler Pass, Crested Butte and the second time I just made it into the bathroom in the visitor center in the NP outside Grand Junction - not fun). Gone are the trail legs of yesteryear but you guys made it. Congrats on that. Nobody suffered altitude sickness in the days that followed ?
Is the trail close to the road? I would have to schedule a trail angel for possible assistance up...and down! Congratulations for completing a very challenging hike. Thanks for motivating me to accomplish my own outside goals!
A 14-er WoW! I've been as far as the rangers station or whatever it's called. We couldn't go any farther because the peak was closed... of course it was in December... haha.. It was beautiful! I cheated because we drove..😜
Love that mountain...been up n down it quite a few times! Has the COG railway been totally removed? No tracks to cross at the end of the trail? I knew they stopped running the trains a year or so ago.
Hi! I have a question........what program do you use for learning Spanish? I think that I may like to try French and was wondering what might be a good program to try. Thanks in advance. 💖
What is Lynn turning soft on you turning around??? Just kidding. Seriously that's a lot of miles and elevation in the thin air to do in 1 day. I am surprised you didn't invite Pesky. Better not let her know!!!

Thank you. I hope you are able to get out and hike Pikes Peak. It is an amazing trail, so well done. You will love it.

You can email us at kristyfburns@msn.com. I hope you get to hike Pikes Peak
Yeah in VT we have flakes coming down most days of the year. Nice knowing ya
Awesome! Setting this as a personal goal!
You would love it. Maybe we can hike it with you sometime.

WOW you guys just keep amazing me. Should of had lynn drive up to get you.
Having a vehicle return would have been good. Going down looks pretty tough.
Ha ha, took me too long to hike down!
That's what I thought when they were at the top. Where is Lynn with the car ? Ha ha ! Don't blame her for turning around. Looked really steep at the top. Awesome! Long day!!
Susie, you rock! Tell us how you feel tomorrow. Recovery may be worse than the Supai Shuffle.
Is the trail close to the road? I would have to schedule a trail angel for possible assistance up...and down! Congratulations for completing a very challenging hike. Thanks for motivating me to accomplish my own outside goals!
The road to the top is open so some hikers were getting a ride down.
A 14-er WoW! I've been as far as the rangers station or whatever it's called. We couldn't go any farther because the peak was closed... of course it was in December... haha.. It was beautiful! I cheated because we drove..😜

They are working on the tracks. It does still run though.
In awe. 🙏 I have a real problem with altitude!
😲😲😲WOW!!!
Awesome hike ladies!! My son and I are planning on doing this soon. Is the parking easy to find and how do you pay? Credit/debit??
I think you can pay credit or debit. We paid credit. The parking lot is easy to find but fills up quick. Start early and you will be ok.
Hi! I have a question........what program do you use for learning Spanish? I think that I may like to try French and was wondering what might be a good program to try. Thanks in advance. 💖
We use a phone app called Duo Lingo. We love it.
Wander Women Kristy, Annette & Lynn Thank you!!
I got it! I looks great! Merci!
Next time you should have half of your group drive and half of your group hike. Then you won't have to hike down lol.
What is Lynn turning soft on you turning around??? Just kidding. Seriously that's a lot of miles and elevation in the thin air to do in 1 day. I am surprised you didn't invite Pesky. Better not let her know!!!
I did wimp out, feel bad now...going to train better!
You know, Stansky, we never invite her, but that doesn't seem to stop her. How's life?
