When you started crying over Anne of Green Gables so did I! Gah that book (and Anne) is precious 😭 You may have convinced me to read Theft of Swords! I hate the wilful “omg he doesn’t like me” when it’s so obvious that he does thing in romance books too, I feel like this was the case in The Love Hypothesis as well. I know relationships can be confusing but at a certain point it just seems like the characters are really dense. That review of The Spanish Love Deception was hilarious, you’re so funny.

I read Anne of Green Gables at the end of last year and it's so precious! I read the sequel to The Thursday Murder Club recently and I flew through it! Can't wait for the third one! I legit though you'd pick The Stationery Shop for Jananie, defenitely recommend that one regardless, it's so good!

I wholeheartedly recommend the 1985 movie version of Anne of Green Gables and the sequel Anne of Avonlea! I would say watch those before the Netflix series since it is more true to the books whereas the Netflix show takes it's own liberties and creates plot points and characters that are not in the books.

If you liked Anne of Green Gables, you should read L.M Montgomery's "Emily" series. I remember actually liking that series better than the Anne series.
I don't know if anyone has recommended this book to you yet, but you should read A little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett. If Anne of Green Gables made you cry, this will definitely make you cry. I also highly recommend watching the movie.
