Awesome card, Chari, as always! The way you put the door on--without cutting any opening behind it, so it would open to a brick wall--made me think of the Winchester house in California. Apparently, the guy who designed it was a bit, shall I say, eccentric. It has staircases that lead nowhere, doors that open onto walls behind them, etc. Thank heavens he wasn't so eccentric with the design of his rifles. (Yes, he was THAT Winchester!) I've never been there, but I did read about it several years ago. Anyway, just thought that was interesting. Thank you for sharing your artwork. Take care, & have a wonderful day! :)
Chair, can you share more about how you have your dies stored on those giant magnets? What kind of container do they stay in? Do you just have them randomly on there or are they on some sort of order? How do you know which one is which? Thanks. I guess I wanna know all the details 🤣😂
I store my dies on magnetic sheets from Lawn Fawn. I have both the 5x7 size and the 8.5x11. The 5x7 I just have in a bin and I can flip through and the 8.5x11 I put in page protectors and have them in a binder. I am in process of switching over all my die storage to this because the magnetic folders I have are not available to buy anymore nor are they as easy to flip through to find what I need. I try to keep things in some sort of order, for instance on the larger sheets I have several that are all my border dies. Then I put all of the shadow box and the add-on sets together. It is not completely organized but it's getting there. 5x7 Magnetic Storage cards www.lawnfawn.com/products/magnetic-storage-cards-5-x-7?_pos=2&_sid=9908583be&_ss=r 8.5x11 Magnetic Storage cards www.lawnfawn.com/products/magnetic-storage-cards-8-5-x-11?_pos=1&_sid=9908583be&_ss=r
Hi Karen, Distress Oxide inks do make it easier to get a smooth blend on cardstock. We have found that you can get good results with regular Distress Inks if you use Bristol Smooth cardstock. This is so great!
That is amazing. I only have the distress inks and find them hard work to blend and cover cardstock, is the oxides much better for this xxxx
