If you are being invited into a deeper relationship with God by the HS then yes! You are on the right path! God always seeks us and then we respond. Our relationship will shift over time.. because God is in control of our dynamic :)
I ask Him the Holy Spirit about everything.

Praying in the Spirit is key to hear Him. I'm looking to get a $2000 guitar and I really can't do it yet. @@maryldemilo 🙋♂️ , thank you for the reply🙏🏽. I noticed that certain people experience unwanted thoughts, which can lead to anxiety and depression. I believe these thoughts are demonic, but many people are unaware of this. As a result, they end up with mental health issues. When I explain this to them, they often don't believe it's demonic.
@@user-mm6xi4ic1g Oh okay! This helps clarify. I don't know if I can speak much to the demonic side of intrusive thoughts. I have seen a lot of the psychological issues for it and can speak to that in regards to processing them with God and healing them. I even have my own story about that... but I don't know if my understanding is what you're looking for...if you still want me to share some of my thoughts on it (limited understanding of the demonic side though) I can. Either way... I am grateful you asked and are want to grow more! That is a gift!

💯 I so agree! I think it’s more God illuminates things and there is a lot of darkness (no light to see) before we sense what God is saying.
@maryldemilo - Oh! I just read something this morning that ties in a little with what you wrote. Proverbs 15:30 "The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart..." And you wrote that there is a lot of darkness - no light to see - before we sense what God is saying.
Do we not rejoice when we finally see what He is saying, and things become clear? He is the light of our eyes!
I have always struggled to hear or discern when it was God’s voice. I later would get frustrated thinking that WAS God and I missed it. I hope everyone is doing better than I have. God is subtle most of the time, so it seems we need to be good listeners in the spirit.
He is so subtle. Learning his promptings is a life long process. Whenever I think about God I believe he is calling to me first. The fact that you want to hear from him means you are hearing him. From all the wisdom I have received and experienced myself that is my conclusion. Be encouraged!

What you were saying during the 1st five minutes of that video especially, I thought “that is EXACTLY me, worrying about whether my interests & hobbies line up with God’s Will or not.”. I listen to a lot of Electronic Music from the likes of Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, Cosmic Gate, ATB Paul Van Dyk etc and I like to try to re-create their music that uses sound-design techniques that have always intrigued me! I never listen to anything controversial in my other musical tastes! The God of this world always tries to twist things that are in the Bible and get us to fear Our Father in the WRONG way and I find that I need to keep reminding myself of that. He wants us to believe that He’s an over-bearing father who can be restrictive and never agrees with our choices, and you have just affirmed this! I subscribed too so I look forward to seeing more of your content when I have the time for it! God Bless you Sister in Christ 🙏✝️💜

For me it's really surrendering my whole life to His will. I mean really lettings go of my own earthly being.
His speech on anxiety/worry on the sermon on the mount really reminds me to not lean on my own understanding. Ask, seek, knock. The centurion, the women who bled for 12 years, a leper (Going off book of Matthew lol). FAITH.

@@maryldemilo Yep! We read how often how He asked the disciples why they had so little faith even though they witnessed miracles right in front of them that He performed. Faith moves mountains. Genuine faith.

Sometimes what has to be reconciled, is that life will become a process of disappointment and despair.

To brake it down more on what I said.. most of the time I don't like saying nothing at all. I think every word counts.. but not saying its like hiding. And not explaining might lead to confusion and misleading. I said that I didn't understand the Bible it sounded like its super complicated but its not.. I think for most part its pretty straightforward thanks God. And I think the main part of It and Gods plan for us to be saved or have our salvation secured in the next life, which is eternity. What a caring God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. For some reason I think the other part of the Bible the ( proverb style) or not so understandable one maybe God left for us to put together like a puzzle. Not to fight over it, but if everyone (who really searches) I really believe they will find the Precious pieces can be put together and have fun. But many churches don't even have Bible study now days!! What?? And what I said I have strong feelings that is also might be true to some degree. But I noticed through my life that some feelings/thoughts might also be deceiving ones. May God bless everyone and help everyone.

I never knew what I wanted to do or who I wanted to be since high school, like other kids. I wanted something stable where I could last, like it, and not get sick of it. Somewhere where I would be needed and where I could be very efficient and not be stuck in one place. At that time I was living very Godly life. I rad entire Bible from cover to cover at 15, 16. But did I understand it all? No. I haven't heard a direct voice of God, but I had strong feelings about things.
That’s really good that you were aware of what you were looking for. Those are very good reasons. Somewhere where you could give value love others and be yourself. Not that any place is perfect :)

I have a desire to do a beauty pageant. I have for years. But I’m so afraid that it goes against God’s will and him not wanting me to do anything vain. Can you give me any advice?

My learning process is through meditation and "look for the signs" to make the decisions I need in life. Remember the images, man/woman with good and evil on each shoulder. :) Blessed Be.
Yes and I believe we can learn to trust our voices that are aligned with Gods as we grow in discernment a lot of saints talk about this but our aim is to find Gods first and then hold ours under his voice in priority and love. Be detached from our ego or way as supreme as we fall more in love with God.

He told me to fast 40 days. I made it 12.5 and failed him once again. But our walk did get a lot closer. It was worth it. It illuminated how he continually chose us over his own pleasure.

Sounds like a win to me! I don’t know if it’s possible to fail God.
Maybe God had to put your eyes on the 40-day mark in order for you to make it to the 12-day mark. He knew beforehand how long your fast would be. Maybe it's like helping somebody train to run a mile at a better speed. You say, alright I want you to run this mile in eight minutes. But it takes you 11 minutes. It was good training for you.
Okay I can agree with that just have one question for you so does that mean we can still walk in sin? Or does it mean that we have to walk in righteousness like Jesus our savior did because we have that in us like you said so it should not be an issue for us to walk in righteousness with Jesus. Instead of being in bondage to sin walking in sin with the Devil.
That’s a really great question! And the answer is not black-and-white. I feel like I can’t do it justice by this response! But yes, we can very much show in the flesh and we can very much show in the spirit and so it’s like our core identity has changed now we have the righteousness of Jesus available to us, but then now we spend the rest of our lives learning and discerning how to, walk in that righteousness and that is where spiritual formation… The help of the Holy Spirit all come in to play.
So yes, I’m not saying oh it’s just so easy you just lean on Christ righteousness there’s gonna have to actually be a death to ourselves. Paul says we’ve been crucified with Christ and so we are going to have to continue to learn how to die to the flesh and live in the spirit. And that takes so much time and really our entire lives on earth and then it continues on into the next life.
I hope that makes sense! I don’t want to be misleading because obviously this is a very rich deep topic! Thank you so much for asking and being willing to engage this conversation. It shows a lot about your desire to be close to God!

With respect, we've not been told to listen to a voice from God, let alone on specific decisions we face in life. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is real, true and powerful, but His presence is often to bring us to the word and live humbly withOUT clarity; Clarity certainly in Christ and our reconciliation with the Father through Him, but not clarity in every choice, option or decision. God's peace.

Hmm..."...to live humbly withOUT clarity". I'm going to have to ponder that. Living without clarity certainly describes the last two years for me, although when I look back, I do think that God was directing my steps and that I am where he wants me right now.

For it is from this point right here, that He calls each of us respectively, to live in the gospel truth of His love for us in Christ, and to love Him above all and love neighbor as our self. It sure would be nice if we had an old testament God who'd show up and say hey lets do this. Making it super clear that yeah I'm the big guy in the sky tower of babbel, burning bush, g man.
I totally hear you there.
God definitely chooses to speak when he has something specific he wants to do in and through people. But I also believe that he speaks all the time to us in a still small voice. The story of Elijah really emphasizes this.
I believe our desire to hear God really pleases God. And the more we grow in discernment, and knowing his will in general helps us to find his specific invitations in our day-to-day lives. Whether that’s an inner knowing. Something to do. Or even just reassurance even in the unknown.
Oh man, but sometimes His word SLAYS me!

lol very true. But it can be an insight to our current understanding. Thats why it important to ask what is God really asking of us or communicating! Takes some work to know.

Is obeying God easy ? Here is what Jesus told his disciples, right after "explaining to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes and be killed, and on the third day be raised up."
"At this Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying: “Be kind to yourself, Lord; you will not have this happen to you at all.” But turning his back, he said to Peter: “Get behind me, Satan ! You are a stumbling block to me, because you think, not God’s thoughts, but those of men.”
"Then Jesus said to his disciples: “If anyone wants to come after me, let him disown himself and pick up his torture stake (or following in Jesus "footsteps" "to a tee", even to death, 1 Pet 2:21) and keep following me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever LOSES his life for my sake will find it."(Matt 16:21-25)
Some 2 years prior to this, in 30 C.E., on the "Sermon on the Mount", Jesus stated: "“Go in through the narrow gate, because broad is the gate and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and FEW are finding it."(Matt 7:13, 14)
And why would only a ' few find life everlasting ' ? Because the standards that God has set, plus being imperfect, "raises the bar" to a level that the vast majority who profess to be Christian refuse to reach for. At Luke 13:24, Jesus tells a man who asks if those being saved are few: "Exert yourselves vigorously to get in through the narrow door, because MANY (who profess to be Christian), I tell you, will seek to get in but will NOT be able."
Here is a sampling of some of the requirements in order to "make the grade": "Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father (Jehovah God, Ex 6:3; Isa 12:2, KJV) and of the Son (Jesus Christ) and of the holy spirit (Jehovah's life force, that he gives to all "obeying him as ruler", Acts 5:32), teaching them (as through Bible studies) to observe all the things I have commanded you."(Matt 28:19, 20)
At Colossians 3:5-10, the apostle Paul tells the Colossian Christians that they are to "deaden, therefore, your body members that are on the earth as respects sexual immorality, uncleanness, uncontrolled sexual passion, hurtful desire, and greediness, which is idolatry."
"On account of those things the wrath of God is coming. That is how you too used to conduct yourselves in your FORMER way of life. But now you must put them ALL AWAY from you: wrath, anger, badness, abusive speech, and obscene talk out of your mouth."
"Do not lie to one another. At Luke 10:25-28, when a Jew versed in the Mosaic law asked Jesus what he had to do to gain everlasting life, and Jesus countered with these question: "What is written in the Law ? How do you read", the Jew then quoted Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18, saying:
"You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole strength and with your whole mind’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’” He said to him: “You answered correctly; keep doing this and you will get life.”
At Matthew 10, Jesus told his newly appointed apostles: "Look ! I am sending you out as sheep among wolves; so prove yourselves cautious as serpents and yet innocent as doves. Be on your guard against men, for they will hand you over to local courts and they will scourge you in their synagogues."
"And you will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a witness to them and the nations.......Do not think I came to bring peace to the earth; I came to bring, not peace, but a sword. For I came to cause division, with a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. Indeed, a man’s enemies will be those of his own household."
"Whoever has greater affection for father or mother than for me is not worthy of me; and whoever has greater affection for son or daughter than for me is not worthy of me. And whoever does not accept his torture stake and follow after me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his soul will lose it, and whoever loses his soul for my sake will find it."(Matt 10:16-18, 34-39)
And at John 16, in giving parting instructions to his eleven faithful apostles just hours before his execution on a stake, he said: "I have said these things to you so that you may not be stumbled. Men will expel you from the synagogue. In fact, the hour is coming when everyone who kills you will think he has offered a sacred service to God. But they will do these things because they have not come to know either the Father or me."(John 16:1-3)
And at Revelation 14, with regard to the political "wild beast" (see Rev 13) with its strong pushing of nationalism, forcing people to "obey its voice" such as fighting for their country, verse 12 says that "here is where it calls for ENDURANCE on the part of the holy ones, those who KEEP the commandments of God and hold fast to the faith of Jesus".
Revelation 20:4 says that "I (the apostle John) saw the souls of those EXECUTED for the witness they gave about Jesus and for speaking about God (for telling "the truth", see John 18:37), and those who had not worshipped the wild beast (the political system) or its image (the United Nations) and had not received the (symbolic) mark on their forehead and on their hand (giving the political system either a "hand" of full support or even mental or verbal support as with the "forehead", see Rev 13:16)."
So, very few will gain life everlasting, because it is NOT easy being one of Jehovah's loyal servants, but requires real strength of moral character, a willingness to get out of our "comfort zone" and do Jehovah's will.

No. What we are talking about, is believing in the invisible man, and I'll take no part in that ludicrous conversation. Not many people referring to this god character as being the invisible man. I don't worry about nothing, which is what every living being gets to look forward to. God can't want, as god isn't real, except as a "real" mechanism of control.
Jesus literally existed and so did the cross He died on and it is historically proven
