Your welcome Tim. As fofr this hobby, its also an expensive bit of fun. The owner of the Large Bluebird explained:- Just the Jet Engine is £1800 English, the cheapest parts were the Stickers / decals specially made at £450. etc etc.

Oh my G. You were so knowledgeable about Donald Campbell and his life story. I can tell you, everyone was so impressed when the compare started chatting to you. You gave such excellent in depth and fascinating facts. Glad you got to run your K7 for a short taxi on the water. We all meet up every Wednesday from 10:30am until about 3pm on Talkin tarn. Sadly the Council don't allow IC or Jet powered on the tarn due to noise. I'm sure you would be welcome to give your electric boats a run. Some of the members run proper competition racing boats too. Don't know which county you are from so maybe too far? Our email is in one of the tabs above. Big thumbs up.

I HAVE to go to this, just to meet Gina. Her Dad is a hero of mine. I grew up in and around fast boats, I felt such powerful emotions as when I stood by Campbells grave, knowing that he was just a few feet away.

This was great. I'd love to see that large scale K7 model let loose. I have a turbine powered 1:4 scale model of Spirit of Australia, but have never had the stones to see how fast it will go. Subscribed.

We are hoping to hold another next year and fingers crossed we can lift the speed limit so the boats can go above 10mph. Hope to see you next year. It's a very interesting event! Those boats are amazing! It must be nice to have such an event in a beautiful place lie this😍May be bigger boats next time? 😊

They have to get a special permission, and the Lake has to be clear of any water users before they can put bigger boats on.
We have too many safety regulations in the UK which stops these things happening. Even for just small craft!! It is annoying 💖 😍 👍
