For real, I used to be able to do the sporcle for this but it was timed rather than strikes so you could guess more. The way he just knows them is impressive
I really can go back all the way to 1903, and look - I'm perfectly glad to tell everybody. ...Anonymously on a UA-cam comment. It's not a thing I brag about when using my real name.
@@camicawber I can too. I have a better than average memory for numbers - not freakish, but above average - and I like to use this as an example. I always follow it up with "I won't do it unless someone asks me to". People never ask me to.
Might want to give a few extra strikes for that to ensure it goes deep enough. Or have hints after each strike. Something to keep it going. But that would be really fun. If you want to get really hard, could do stat leaders by year. WAR probably would be the easiest, because you just have to think of who was the best at the time. But HR or hits or other such stats would be hard.
Next time something like this happens, you guys have to do an office group reaction video. Great seeing the few shocked reactions to hearing he got to '31, but would have loved a bigger group reaction/freakout watching him do that.
I always knew Lucas was top tier when it came to baseball history but this was an unreal performance. I’m the biggest baseball fan I know personally and I couldn’t get past 1992. That was ridiculous. What a fun game.
This is reminiscent of an F1 video a couple of years ago where they asked the drivers to name as many world champions as possible, in order. The video ends like this one - with a cut of Sebastien Vettel naming everyone back to 1950.
That was impressive... This performance deserves a Q&A from Lucas. I wanna know how he knows those, and what other things about the game he knows. Awesome vid!
Seeing them all struggle with 2011 and 2006 was so weird because as a Cardinals fan both of those WS runs felt quite significant, especially 2011 as one of the most memorable of all time across all teams with Game 6
I think I could have done it with three strikes but you have to be damn good. Impressive as hell for sure, just found the content recently. Big Immaculate grid fan as well.
World Series trivia used to be a bar game my friends and I would have fun with - also involved the losers and how many games it took. Lucas had some awesome recall there!
This was pretty fun to watch. I know Jomboy is a lot younger than me (I’m 53), but still, kinda surprising that Blue Jays was only a guess for him in ‘93, since Joe Carter hit one of only two World Series-winning walk-off home runs in history, and that he got ‘91 wrong, since Twins-Braves is generally considered the second greatest World Series of all time.
That's super impressive. I can go to about 1984 before I get hazy, and I thought that was a pretty cool party trick, but 1931? At a certain point, you just start guessing Yankees, and you have about a 50% chance of it being right.
What an absolute monster 😂. Congrats. Jesus. I played along, and if it hadn't been for the Angels, I would've made it to the strike year. As someone in their 20s that isn't in the baseball trenches, I felt good about that.
Did this myself for fun. I got every single one (nearly stumbled at 89-90 with Reds/A’s) but blew all three strikes at 82. Initially thought it was Pirates. Never would’ve guessed STL. Honestly thought I would’ve beaten all of those guys. But Lucas… what a show
Ugh Lucas! I got stumped at 1982/1983 and 1946. I used to know all of them going back to the first World Series. Would read baseball almanacs as a kid all summer- loved it. ⚾️
Incredible, I don't know if anyone here knows who Artie Lange is, but if you give him any year he can name the team who won the world series, who they beat, and in how many games. It's actually wild.
I thought I was good going till 1968 until my first strike, I used all my strikes between 1968-1961. Lucas that was very impressive and now I have to work on this to get to his level.
I’m a Red Sox fan in the American League, Marlins in the NL, and when the Sox won in 2013, me and a buddy found out via newspaper while we were in basic training, it was so awesome finding out that way, feeling like I was in the early 1900’s but also sucked I couldn’t watch ANY baseball for 8 weeks 😭🫶
I remember a kid in the 8th grade who you could recall WS winners like Lucas. You could just say a year and he could pull any winner from memory. It was crazy.
When I was a kid I could have easily remember all the winners if I wanted to since I was obsessed like many of us were. Props to Lucas! That was insane!
Most impressive thing that's ever been done on this channel
They probably faked it 🤷
@@timothypineaulthe seems like the right kind of dork and he was nailing them the whole video the same way.
@@timothypineaultdefinitely didn’t
@@timothypineaultno way
@@timothypineault then they did an incredible job, and he's an incredible actor.
Mad respect for Lucas.

Thanks man
Jsut spend an hour on Sporcle that is how I memorized every World Series winner. And when I mena every winner I really mean every winner.

“I’m sure no one went into the pre WWII days”
Little did he know….
The video of Lucas' run needs to be tweeted and retweeted on all Jomboy accounts - that is insane
I can do every World Series winner.
This was incredible. Now MVPs, Cy Youngs, RoYs, ASG Starters, WS MVPs, #1 Overall Picks, ect. This is the birth of a series
gold gloves and silver sluggers
That it was
How did Lucas do that?? Insane🤯

@@camicawbersame lmao, in a real life situation idk if I’d ever bring it up unless it was for a game like this

It is honestly shameful that they can analyze baseball as their jobs and not know every World Series winner without effort.
@@tyrjilvincef9507
I disagree.
this was the day Lucas has been looking forward to his entire life
I was expecting the end to be a cut of Max Manis just getting all of them... Lucas did it even better than I would've expected
That was the coolest thing I’ve seen in a while. Mad respect to Lucas.
Really reminds of when Sebastian Vettel did all the F1 champions back to 1950 in like 5 minutes
thought of this while watching Lucas ring off all those teams. Wild stuff.
it was actually less than half that time, about 2m20
I came here to say that! Lucas is a regular Sebastian!
student of the game 😢 i miss seb
Fr
That was so impressive by Lucas holy hell, I would've made it to 1982
Me too
I made it to 2008 lol
'06 for me
i would have done it up to 2001
I WOULD HAVE MADE IT TO 1972 IN A ROW EVEN THOUGH I KNOW THE METS WON IN 1969!!
Love this game. Do Cy Youngs, MVPs, etc...
Might want to give a few extra strikes for that to ensure it goes deep enough. Or have hints after each strike. Something to keep it going. But that would be really fun. Good idea
Not only the accuracy but the speed at which he rattled those off was disgustingly impressive
Can you guys PLEASE upload the full, unedited footage of Lucas? What he did here is so amazing.
Get Lucas a trophy and a title belt because that was freaking impressive. More of this please
Jolly slaying it with this gameshow.

I could not stop laughing. Lucas, that was incredible!
I was proud of myself for getting to 1960 until THAT happened ! very impressive ! I love this channel , thank you so much
Getting to 1960 is still very impressive. Stay proud
holy shit Lucas with one of the most impressive displays of baseball trivia I've seen here
This is reminiscent of an F1 video a couple of years ago where they asked the drivers to name as many world champions as possible, in order.
The video ends like this one - with a cut of Sebastien Vettel naming everyone back to 1950.
So this is just survival series, right? But for baseball. I'm sure Jolly is nowhere near as cruel as Tempest.
Seriously one of the most impressive things ive seen in awhile
What did I just watch!? A master class
I love how the video made it look close but really he absolutely blew everybody out of the water. Great video
That was impressive... This performance deserves a Q&A from Lucas. I wanna know how he knows those, and what other things about the game he knows. Awesome vid!
Survival series right here
Hello, I'm Tempest from Parts Funknown, welcome to Ref Guess
I can't stop watching Lucas tear through it. He could absolutely get free drinks in any bar with that.
This is the video I've been wanting to see for a long time
Impressive knowledge Lucas. I can get to about that same spot, then it gets murky. The 10’s and 20’s are a nightmare to remember.
Seeing them all struggle with 2011 and 2006 was so weird because as a Cardinals fan both of those WS runs felt quite significant, especially 2011 as one of the most memorable of all time across all teams with Game 6
11 is easy to remember because they won their 11th in '11
It's even easier for me to remember because I'm a Phillies fan >:(
they just mainly yankee fans lol. notice how they were slow to answering ones from last decade but instantly knew about 2008/09/10
This video inspired me to learn the year-by-year World Series winners. So far, I have memorized every WS winner in order from 1947-2022.
I know them from 2006 to now.
LUCAS BEEN WAITING FOR THIS. HIS ENTIRE LIFE
Bar down quiz vibes with this one. I like it

Is that the guy who also sometimes give you the weather during the last game? I think I've heard of that
Howard tested him on the air. He went 3-3
Tempest's influence is unmatched
"No one's going to get pre-World War II days"
