Randy Rainbow is one of the most talented guys today. His last video, "Marjorie Taylor Greene" sung to Evergreen, knocked me out. He can do anything. And, he's hilarious! I wish he would do more.

Rainbow was on tour two years ago. I attended his show in SF at the Masonic Auditorium.
Randy Rainbow tours, but the pandemic has curtailed that. As for Broadway, they have not been open and they have arcane rules about what opens where. A Broadway theater essentially has to invite him.

I do love Randy. I found him by accident on here when i was really ill & needed a reason to want to live. Randy made laugh, so i watched half his past videos all day one day & the other half the next day. Then i just kept watching. The talent, the voice, the ingenuity intrigued me & i was in love!

I came here for the RR interview. However, I have to say that I really enjoyed their conversation. I love Randy. He's made a crazy, awful, terrible couple of years more than bearable. I bumped onto him casually and since then, a few months ago, during first lockdown in Italy, I've never stopped to watch his great videos!

The song started playing in my head immediately when he said that! He used it for parodies in 2016 when candidates dropped out of the primaries.

Just finished reading Randy's book. And now this Zoom conversation between Bob and Randy. The love and admiration between the two are palpable. For all of you going on about Bob talking too much, I didn’t get that at all. I got the feeling that two people who admired each other’s work were having dinner alone and just talking about life without a script. It felt natural, not an interview, we were just eavesdropping on their private chat.

yes! i loved how they went in and out of deadpan celebrity bs (at times reminded me of charles grodin and david letterman) and then profound observations and reflections. they obviously truly respect each other and care abt each other. i have an extremely low tolerance for celebrity bs and i loved this conversation. it also reminded me of letterman in that it was so obvious when letterman truly appreciated someone; so obvious that bob saget adores randy rainbow and greatly admires his talent.
@@bobsaget I could hear the tiredness--both of you sounded low energy and like you were having to work too hard to keep things going on a 'performance" level. But I think you underestimate Randy's satirical intentions. My impression is that he hates tRump's guts and deplores his sycophants and would have richly enjoyed tarring and feathering all of them. And, no, I don't think his humor was at all appreciated by the tRump supporters; Randy was not laughing at them in a good-hearted way at all. His outrage is just as succinct and sincere as that of the late night hosts like Seth Myers and Stephen Colbert.
Randy is brilliant and nice on the eyes. Love Randy as I am a Broadway Diva also. He has a great voice.

I tripped over this interview while searching for previously unseen RR “stuff “. If you haven’t watched it, please do. There were several moments that caught me in my heart and will, no doubt, live in Randy’s always. There’s another to view, as soon as I can recover from this one. Bob was as beautiful as everyone has said, and this made me realize how very much the world has lost.
