I wish there was an archives museum....even one in every park would be amazing
Disney is incredible.
Wow. A big company actually reads comments.
I hope that the animatronics of Splash Mountain will find a new home on the archives
I think the snowglobe from Mary Poppins is my favorite...but mostly on how it was found
Would love to know that story and see it one day!
@@fraserkatie You should watch prop culture on Disney Plus they explain the amazing story on how the snow globe from Mary Poppins was saved from destruction
Wow, finding out what pieces of Disney and Fox history are preserved in the archives is unlike any other collection!
That’s a whole lotta history here.
My favourite items must be the things from Mary Poppins and Bedknobs and Broomsticks!
Imagineering is my dream job
2:39 Pooh! I wish I could go to the Walt Disney Archives
i love the walt disney archives indeed!
One of the shows that showed up on Disney Plus when it first started was called prop culture has this movie collector/historian looking at some of the props from old Disney movies and even talking to some of the people who actually worked on some of the movies it's really cool a lot of the stuff I think is from The archives like one episode focuses on Lion the witch and the wardrobe three of the four actors who played the children have a mini reunion and the guy shows them their costumes and props from the movie.
The episodes are all on Disney plus and they do Mary Poppins pirates of the Caribbean curse of the Black Pearl Lion the witch and the wardrobe who framed Roger rabbit Tron nightmare before Christmas Honey I shrunk the kids and The Muppet movie
I had no clue they added Fox stuff to the archives... but is it only Fox, or is there stuff like ABC in there too?
wow

I don't know what's worse, the puns, or someone saying them as he/she goes along.😔
Can you actually visit the archives or not?
I don’t think so. But they have an exhibition at the Bowers Museum which ends in the Fall
You can only visit the archives when you are on the Disney lot. Generally when D23 has a tour of the lot you will visit the Archives. You can only visit the lot if you are a D23 member and they have the tour or you are a Disney employee.
