- so excited for this one! One of my favorite AR's in the game is finally coming back to Destiny 2 with random rolls and something worth to grind for in gambit lol (Breakneck AR)

If breakneck 2.0’s getting random rolls though, any roll with onslaught BUT NOT with rampage is dead weight, so they’d probably have to rework Onslaught to work independently of Rampage.
@@ButFirstHeLitItOnFire or they could give onslaught an increased to chance to roll with rampage than any other perk and also make it so onslaught can only roll with rampage
They should make it on every kill but it last 3 second like rampage.
Yea onslaught would haft to change if rolls become random, not dependant on rampage.

breakneck was the first pinnacle weapon I got. I got it by accident and it stayed equipped for a long time after I got it. Would love to see it come back
I still pull breakneck out of collections on occasion to goof off in momentum.

If Breakneck does come back, Onslaught just needs to get the Desperado treatment, where it’s decoupled from another perk.
Onslaught: Kills with this weapon increase it’s rate of fire for a short duration. Stacks to three times.
It would be interesting if they started bringing back most if not all old pinnacle weapons with random rolls. Recluse, Hush and 21% Delirium come to mind. Maybe not Mountaintop tho… 🙃

They’ve brought back quite a few of the pinnacles now. Vanguard’s only got 2 remaining I think? They’ve returned Loaded Question, Randy’s, Buzzard, etc
Bring MT back. New lights need to be reminded of the dark days.
I don’t Care if it does or doesn’t have onslaught, I just love the classic look of the thing. It’s gun, not much more to say, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
It just depends on the perk pool. That was such a awesome gun back in the day.

If breakneck IS coming back, they’ll need to rework its signature perk “Onslaught” _(This weapon's rate of fire increases as you stack Rampage.)_ to work independently of Rampage, SO, I have an idea to do just that while adding on a bit of flair:
_Sustained Onslaught: This weapon’s rate of fire, handling, and reload speed increases as you deal final blows to enemies. Stacks up to 3X. Guardians and powerful enemy final blows max out stats._
then that means in pvp it'll be hella strong and thats a bad thing

Honestly, after the last week or 2, “bad” has a whole new celling to reach, and 1 new perk isn’t going to cut it.

Got it amazing gun but the problwem the gun right now is cap lock at 1600. I got mine with Rampage/ Ext mags/ Onslaught/poly riffling
I remember for the longest time it was broken and rampage x2 was the highest dps
Honestly we have so many crazy good perks and guns by now that pinnacle weapons don’t sound like a problem if they’re tweaked a bit.
Pinacles would be ok IF they had Unique perks that dont exist on other weps... that would be only solution... just like the old days

I was going to say if I'm going to craft it with Enhanced Onslaught but I realized it's a Gambit weapon and those aren't craftable.

I don't think that pinnacle weapons would be that broken in pve anymore because of the difficulty buff that the game got a while ago, but they are probably still quite good in pvp. I don't know because I don't play pvp at all. Giving them random rolls sounds like an interesting idea.

if they do do this I hope they remove the timer, making it similar to killing tally. (having Common Ground amongst Gambit weapons would be a good throwback) and give it a standout interests unique from Desperado.
Only thing that could take me back to gambit would be Bygone.

That’s not official confirmation. As someone that loves Breakneck, I’d be ecstatic for it to return, you shouldn’t make a title saying “It’s coming back” until it’s actually 100% confirmed… otherwise it just comes off as click-baity.
