On kbm I'm having fun flicking my portals around but I'm getting frustrated with my aim, specifically headshots with br and carbine. I played a loot of halo 3 so i switched to controller and dominated in fights, but hardly used portals. I'm gonna practice more on kbm and learn the maps better to utilize portals more
One problem people have when it comes to doing new things and trying new settings in games and shit is just going in a public match automatically. Go to a private match and practice against hardened bots first. Get warmed up. U don’t have to practice in a pub match and ur not gonna get good automatically in a online match. Practice practice practice. That’s y people give up so easily
Can't recount how many times it comes to a time where we are shooting 1v1, even if I took that person by suprise or start shooting first yet I'm the one who gets killed because the other person has the benefit of instantly snaping to my weak points a locking on till they win.
Hm reading all the comments if you don’t have cracked aim on m&k on controller the aim works better. But playing on controller trying to place portals fast and having good movement is very frustrating. I just can’t make the necessary portal I want fast and precise enough. Good compromise would be add portal aim assist and lower aim assist strength. Rn I’m playing 18 sens 3.5 accel just so my movement and portal placing feels smooth, that comprises aim though. For movement I’d play even higher but then aim would suffer even more. Maybe will do when I have a scuf with longer stick and jump not on r3.
I play 15 15 and turned the acceleration to 0.5. The aim assist slows down when I got over targets, so my aim is still good. I also have a longer thumb stick on the right one. I played Keyboard and mouse at first, but I switched to controller because me and my friend were testing both, and I did a lot better on controller. The aim assist is actually busted💀
On par? Nah the assist is an I win within 25 yards, even being a t500 player in overwatch, having pushed global in GO etc. I can safely say my aim and mechanics are solid on the input. Now when swapping to controller thats gathering dust, as the last time I uses it was when sekkiro came out, I instantly just won fights with a minimum of effort. if the game works like many other cross plats the console has 30 to 40% more relative assist and lock strength. Now defining what that means is a different subject but no matter how u slice it its more, more than something that is already crazy

this is literally a lie. Close range is always easier on controller when games have halo tier aim assist. The aim assist tracks for you at close range with slight movement as long as you strafe. Rotational aim assist is insane. It eliminates the need to react to each strafe that a human must manually do. If an opponent strafes LEFT, RIGHT,LEFT,RIGHT there is 150-250 ms a person must wait before adjust aim EACH TIME. The controller users doesn't need to do this.

Exactly. I’ve been killed playing crossplay so much because I physically cannot react quick enough to a simple portal behind me, it’s absolutely infuriating. Plus this game is just way more fun on kbm 😂
@Frankus Cylons once the skill ceiling gets higher this will be literally the only thing that will happen. With higher skill ceiling portals will get used a looot more and with that m&k has a huge advantage. Controller can’t get close to m&k movement and portaling. Only advantage controller has is aim assist, quite a strong one. But good portaling will win in this game. The play styles will probably be very different for both. Controller relying on aim and avoiding movement situations. M&k portaling and flicking like crazy.
@@nebula8893 I thought my cod mw sens of 17 was crazy, that’s what I feel comfortable with. But in Splitgate because of this I really felt the need for even higher sens. Now the cod sens feels slow lol. Playing 18 and 3.5 accel. Aiming is a bit compromised but still works well, hitting portals that are only partially visible is quite hard.
I have a keyboard and mouse and I am having a lot of trouble with my aim at my enemies. I'm on PS4 by the way. PC is just to costly and power consuming. My sensitivity is 2.0
Console was meant for controller, using mnk on console to me is considered cheating and mnk support for console should no be a thing, and bans should be issued out for people doing so, I kills any FPS integrity. For this reason I Haven’t bought the new console, I haven’t bought any new game since assassins creed as it’s a single player game, I feel like I may be missing out on the new halo but I’m still not getting it. Gaming has so many problems the last few years and nothing gets done about it. gaming in 2021 is toxic and shite.

Iv been playing consoles over 15+ years and the Integrity of high level play on consoles is dead in the water. There’s not one game for the new console I want to play it’s disgusting. Now playing osrs and nearly maxed fuck the consoles!

Good vid; would recommend you use Carbine a bit more over AR but you're not that far off with your switching range.
Because this game is a Halo-like anyways so the ranged-weapons meta (carabine, pistol, BR, sniper) over automatic rifles is still a thing

Mouse N Keyboard feels unnatural to me.. I’m probably alone on that one. It also just doesn’t feel rewarding when i slam a controller player.
It doesn't feel natural for me neither, but I think that in my case it's because I've played with a controller my whole life only few days ago
