In India, a group of terrorists ambushed an army truck in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district earlier today. At least four soldiers were killed and six injured in the attack. In the early hours of Monday, a group of terrorists attacked the Indian soldiers. The soldiers retaliated, and this led to an exchange of gunfire between the soldiers and the terrorists causing multiple casualties and injuries. This is the second attack on the Indian Army in the region in the last 48 hours. Yesterday, six terrorists were killed in two separate encounters in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district.

I'm indian, I agree India should grant Independence to Kashmir valley. Jammu should be with India because it is Hindu majority. Muslims living in Jammu should move to kashmir Valley or Pakistan. Ladakh will remain part of India because it is Buddhist majority.
I think this whole thing can be settled through a vote.
India spends 10% of its GDP in Kashmir and gets -10% in return. That unproductive land is draining us of our resources which could be spent in poorer regions like Bihar and U.P.
After granting Independence India should declare Pakistan as its enemy officially. Lack of clarity is what is holding us back.

India took the Jammu and Kashmir issue to the United Nations Security Council, where resolutions demanding a plebiscite were passed and initially accepted by India. However, after gaining military control over Jammu and Kashmir, India refused to implement these resolutions. Under the Simla Agreement, India has never engaged in talks about Kashmir.
UN resolutions remain valid until implemented. Pakistan has consistently demanded the implementation of these UN resolutions, but India has not complied.
Now, the time has come India withdrawn its 600,000 troops from indian occupied Kashmir.
First paxtan should withdraw it forces from the erstwhile PoJK and PoGB as per UN resolutions of 13 Aug 1948.
