Kind of cool timing, since I am creating different designs for a few tables and leather hinges is one of my creative concepts to incorporate an extension. Also, I like the extra creative steps you took, to make it more than just a leather strop.

That's not useless in the least, that's one of the coolest things ever! I wish to now build a pile of them!!! (And using it on a strop was far more practical-minded than any of the things I had imagined ye might be up to, at that...)

  •  9 років тому

Another question please. I've worked leather for a while now, I've never needed to boil the leather. Usually you just get it soaking wet, clamp it, that's it. It stays in the shape you want. The only boiling I know of is for rawhide. It's almost stiff and hard as steel (exaggerated ). But it's still not necessarily to boil unless you don't have a few hours to let it soak. This is all based on my experiences. But maybe you know something I don't, which isn't hard to do. I'd like to know if there is some specific reason for boiling other than softening. Thank you.

Would you mind telling me what kind of glue you use that takes an activator and what's it good for gluing? I seen either that same kind or different on lots of vids and they use it on several different materials. But I've never used a glue that has a spray activation product. If it glues several different materials and holds good, it might just be exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you.
