SL 55 AMG SUCH A WONDERFUL CAR, M113K UNBELIEVABLE ENGINE. good job on the video, appreciate it, you have a beautiful car and I see your love for your beautiful car.
Im new to your channel man. I’m thinking of getting a 2006 sl 55 but man im scared the abc is gonna die at any point haha. I’ll just enjoy watching your content for now.
I was very scared of this car at first (still am lol), and ABC was a big part of it. Mine sags when parked overnight for 12+ hours, and I've narrowed it down to a valve block issue, so it doesn't have any problems when the engine is on and the car is running (it's been like that for 9000+ miles I've put on it). I also flushed the ABC fluid / upgraded the filter when I first got the car to ensure I wouldn't have any further issues other than that. I will probably be doing a coilover swap in the next few months just to ensure much more reliability and to not get stuck if a hose blows. If you're able to test drive the car, then that's a huge plus, just to see how well the suspension functions! Considering all of that, I still love the car and drive it at least weekly! Definitely no regrets!
I removed my resonators a while back so removing muffler an resonators would be to loud do u think? Is it possible u can send me exc what u did an removing secondary cats did cause any problem an there is no drone while driving thank you for your help
@@FeisalOsman-y1h Sorry I dont have a picture of what exactly was done... but it would definitely be louder with the muffler and resonator removed, "too loud" is really up to personal preference. But i also did remove the secondary cats, and it does cause a drone around 2000-2500 RPM
M113 is a phenomenal engine, transmission is nothing crazy, usually its the suspension on these but a lot of people swap em out, though do note you should only get one if you are willing to shell out preventative care and really be meticulous about keeping it in top shape and remember that regardless of how solid many components are the cost to repair is still high when something inevitably does break. if you cant afford to do that stay away
As the other answer stated, the engine / transmission is known to be rock solid and durable, though this generation of SL has other common problems - hydraulic suspension and roof leaks, sensotronic brake failure, and ball joints / control arm issues seem to be the most costly of them, though there are many forums in which owners discuss DIY fixes
One of my fav cars! Great shots! The SC M113K are one of the best AMG engines.
The cold start sounds so nice 🔥

Agreed all around! Thank you!!
Beautiful sound!
Thank you!
Thanks for the detailed video bro
That sounds stunning!
Thank you! It's a good balance between increased volume and keeping the original sound, at least to me

Wow that is a nice sound - how much did the conversion cost? Mike
I did a muffler delete, and nothing else on my '13 SL 63. Good growl on starting and upon acceleration, no drone at any rpm.
Would love to hear a video of that!
Awesome how you do that?😊
did you remove the resonators too and what kind of xpipe did you use?
Resonators are still on. I used a Magnaflow True X 2.5in 10791 X pipe

Thank you for the information.
What's the reliability of these like?
