- Join us as we head back to the sunny seaside town of Margate in Kent on Easter good Friday and make a visit to Dreamland amusement park
Dreamland is now home to a huge amount of rides ranging from the stunning 1920’s Scenic Railway coaster up to the brand new Spinning Wild Mouse, the park also added 8 other new rides from Italian ride manufacturers Zamperla but also house some old vintage rides too
Massive thanks to the parks management team for sorting us out with complimentary wristbands and a behind the scenes tour of the Scenic Railway and for getting us on their new rides
Vlog and on ride povs are filmed in HD 1080p 60fps using a GoPro Hero 6 Black with chest harness and Handler with permission from the park - Розваги

Love dreamland. Was the first ever park I went to. The looping star I loved but so miss the Mary Rose. Was always breaking down so not surprised it's not back. So happy dreamland been saved. Going to be great taking my children there in Aug.
needtlc the Mary Rose is actually at Lightwater Valley I believe and it’s now called The Black Pearl
Ah. I have fond memories of Dreamland when it was Ben Bon Bothers in the 1980s. Thousands descended on Margate in the summer then, mostly from south London.

Being here in the USA, I was kind of out of the loop with Dreamland after the fire that destroyed the last remaining structure, which was the Scenic Railway. Much to my surprise, I just recently found out that Dreamland is back and with a newly rebuilt Scenic Railway. I just have to say Wow! It is VERY rare (at least here in the US) that a failed park makes a comeback. In fact I had only seen it once and that was when Luna Park replaced Astroland at Coney Island. Ironically, it was also Zamperla that provided the rides for the new park. So it was nice to hear that they provided most of the rides for Dreamland as well.
It was nice to see behind the scenes of the new Scenic Railway. I know the OP mentioned that many changes were made, but I am happy to see that they retained the brakeman operation. Granted, the ride probably doesn't fully follow original standards as it was mostly rebuilt, so I am sure the extra features such as the safety belts and the side guards were probably necessary. But I am happy to see that most of the construction of the trains is done with wood and the dragon figureheads were actually carved. Very impressive! I do hope that the park is doing well and is experiencing a strong come back and that it will remain for many years to come.
Here in NY, Coney Island had experienced a very sad loss when Astroland announced it would close down. With only one park left (Deno's Wonderwheel Park), the future of Coney Island as an amusement resort had a grim future. But thankfully with help from the city, a new park had taken Astroland's place and took the name of a previously very successful park in Coney Island's heyday and that is Luna Park.
One thing...that wild mouse certainly seems to be HEAVILY braked as they are normally much faster than that and the cars really can spin. I guess they tamed it down to make it more of a family coaster ride. But then again...wouldn't the Scenic Railway fill that role?
That Dreamcatcher / Enterprise ride looks awesome! Not being surrounded by a cage and being in the open air like that certainly makes it look more thrilling than a traditional Enterprise ride.
BTW, that caterpillar ride looks like a classic Traver caterpillar. If that is, that is a rare sight!
So it is nice to see that parks can make a comeback especially when it comes to pass that when we lose a classic park, it is usually permanently. And these small parks are, very much missed. So here's to Dreamland, Margate for making a REALLY nice comeback!

I love theme parks but I don't think I'd like to live in those flats right by the spinning coaster. I remember the lady was on the telly moaning about it who moved in then they put the coaster in . It's really nice to see Dreamland looking better than it did years ago . You always make me laugh on the upside down rides so funny . Your very brave lol . Great vlog Andy xxx

Another great vlog. I'm planning a trip now to Dreamland . Last time I was there was 1981 (I'm old) . I loved the Scenic railway, there were no safety bars then ! They used to have a wild mouse type coaster then too. It looks great how Dreamland looks now. The pendulum pov put me off my chips n gravy.

Just had my first trip to dreamland last Saturday it was fantastic staff were brilliant so much to see and do highly recommend

Caterpillar ride now gone - scrapped. I was at Dreamland in August and asked about it. Ride operator told me after they go it it only worked for two days and then they couldn't get it to work again after that so they scrapped it and it's in bits behind the scenes.

Great vlog Andy. I went on the inverted enterprise in Tayto Park last year, I found it digged into my hamstrings a bit but still enjoyable. This one was closed when I came last September.

it's about a 5 min walk from my house and I have a yearly pass that includes fast pass and it's honestly so much fun there, I went there today and I love it so much

Hope you are having a good time on tour, As always really enjoyed the Vlog and POVS Don't know if you are aware the Hurricane jets you went on are the ex Carter set they didn't travel them too long don't think they were a great success they are certainly looking rough compared to when Carters owned them . Anyway enjoy the rest of the trip can't wait for the blogs

Great & amazing vlog, cheers for creating and look forward to your next one. Really amazing well look after theme park, also didn't think Dreamland was that popular, im surprised. Good to see a lot of people still visiting it, love the scenic railway but hate the headrests as it makes the trains look ugly, hope to see more trains run again on the circuit especially as one only runs and 2nd one acts as a spare. Might visit this year with friends if open up and again experience the Scenic again as the last time I rode it was before it got burnt down. Cheers for video. 😀👍

@@Coaster_Crazy, Not since June 2017 while visiting Margate with a friend where we didn't actually ride or experience anything, but saw enough to make an opinion on the park at the time aswell still give opinions based on especially what I am seeing on other UA-camrs videos aswell images and park maps. But yeah, its a good park, just has so much potential for the future a.k.a to maybe become a resort with its own hotels? But this is a long plan and not a short. Got a long way to go before this happens in my opinion, same goes with the themed zones.

The reason why air race wasn't open was because someone fell out of one at Brighton pier and Dreamland Margate are only being extra safe and doing the right thing!
Aaron Nash no one fell out of the one at Brighton, a piece of the aeroplane theming on the bottom of one of the arms flew off and hit someone walking past the ride

There’s a few but all closed till the 17th May when they can reopen
Just an idea, keep a coaster credit counter maybe on screen so any new ride you ride in the vid can be updated on screen

Mister Xtreme this park is a lovely place that was pretty much rebuilt as it was closed down for years ! Beat parks in England are Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventure and Blackpool Pleasure Beach

adventure island has just got a new ride like pendulum but bigger it is a maxi dance 360 the hurricane jets used to be carters steam fairs they sold it to dreamland brilliant to see dreamland so busy its a good park and I love seeing you go on rides like pendulum

Thanks for making this brilliant video - love seeing behind the scenes and the new rides are great. I used to go to this park with my nan and she used to take loads of us yearly in the 80's and early 90's. It made me a complete theme park / ride addict
We went to dreamland last September and pendulum, air race & the caterpillar were shut. Don’t think I’ve ever seen the caterpillar actually ever running! I love the park and it’s location because Margate is a lovely seaside town but the ride reliability at the park is pretty poor!
Demand Thrill when we went on caterpillar we did the run 8 times cos it wouldn’t stop properly by the platform
I once worked there, and also at The Pleasure Beach in Blackpool, Dreamland has changed since I worked there. but I think they should get rid of the Scenic ride and put a roller coaster ride in its place.
The Bloody Cyclist erm this makes now sense, why would they get rid of a classic wooden coaster for another coaster 🤔🥴🤷♂️

The Bloody Cyclist that’s never going to happen but if you watch the latest Dreamland vlogs you would see that the park added 10 brand new rides and half of them are trill rides
@@Coaster_Crazy I am of the opinion that listing it as a heritage ride was wrong, which is why it has had problems in recent years.
I have issues love this vid my husband is a big guy would he fit on the rides & my son who's 11 is very slim will he fall though loooool bait anxious for them.
Miss Beauitful depends on how big your husband is, I’m 17st 5”8 and fit on all the rides there and your son won’t fall through
Miss Beauitful the Scenic Railway has individual seatbelts like you get in a car and then a lap bar as well

They aren't. Not sure where you heard that from but I can confirm it's not true. It's closed atm due to covid, but has plans to reopen with some music entertainment in August 2021
