Namita Thapar, in her conversation with Rupangi Sharma, gave her a sneek peak into her book -’The Dolphin and the Shark: Lessons in Entrepreneurship’. She told us the reason for the title - She said leaders must be empathetic like dolphins and aggressive like sharks. She told us about how her childhood affected her journey as a businessperson and investor. She also talked about her famous meme’d line - I’m out. When asked about Emcure’s tagline - She said it’s success through innovation. She also mentioned how family businesses are rollercoasters. About her Shark Tank journey, she said as an investor she wants to invest in companies where she can add some value. She gave us an interesting stat that 48% of deals that got funded either had solo woman founder or women were a part of the team.
