Justin Gaethje sparring compilation (2012-2023)

Justin Gaethje training boxing from 2022 to 2023. A pressure fighter, Gaethje works behind a high guard and offensive footwork, which he uses to set up powerful punches. Trained by Trevor Wittman of ONX Sports and the Grudge Training Center for much of his career, Gaethje also spars frequently at Elevation Fight Team. Gaethje is currently scheduled to fight Dustin Poirier at UFC 291.

That's what I love about Gaethje's story. His adjustments during his career. Bar parts of round 3 and the leg kicks, Gaethje got pieced up and outclassed by Poirier on the feet in fight 1. So he went away, developed patience and upped his striking and the results show. Look at 2 years after, how he pulled away from the weirdest, most unique striker in the division, at the time, Tony, in the 3rd and began destroying him. Then, 2 years after that, he'd developed even further to the point where he was getting the better of the same Poirier who was clearly his superior in fight 1, and ended up setting him up for decapitation.

that’s why it’s called sparring buddy it’s not to prove skills it’s to practice and slow down to focus on techniques etc lol u just have never trained before

Probably because he didn’t wanna put his all in it and risk getting hurt and who knows how many guys they gave him before this guy during the training session
