🎸 Today's video is a follow up to Saturday's on the old standard 'Sweet Georgia Brown' (SGB). Let me know if you have any questions about today's lesson! Andy

Thank you for this video Andy.
Yesterday with my fellow jazz guitar friend played this tune Sweet Georgia Brown and I was lost in the woods of the quick changes in the B section.
So I searched for here and yes, you have wise and clear ideas for it.
    Very helpful! 👍

Excellent! Three levels of soloing - such a practical and useful idea, Andy… I don’t know of any other tutor on UA-cam who does this.

Thanks David. I hope the practice goes well. I might do this format a bit more in the future.

The build up of the solo structure in 3 levels is as simple as it is brilliant. Very helpful video. It really shows the sweet notes and how to create that jazzy vibe. I found it helpfull you focused on one position of the neck. Lot of guitar teachers tend to run their fingers all over the fretboard.
    Very very nicely done sir.

Thanks for the feedback - it's really helpful for my planning to know what people like in videos. I agree re keeping in one area. Things can get complicated for no reason by jumping around the board.

Thanks Andy, a really helpful lesson on one of the tunes I want to add to my repertoire. One little point though - I do find the ever changing screen behind you a little distracting on this video.

Thanks Keith. Someone else mentioned that and I’ve got it set to one thing from now on! Good to know 👍

Hi Gene, out of interest how were you working on it beforehand? Glad you like it. Let me know if you have any questions

@@jazzguitarwithandy Andy, I was primarily working with scales, which sounded "lame." Your lesson was quite timely as I am working on chord tones. Your lesson breaks things down into the most important components.

@@jazzguitarwithandy Hi Andy: I think it's your way of "as simple as possible but logical explanation without many words" in combination with the tabulature (chord-charts) and your friendly manner. Actually I'm working on Charlie Christian's solo concepts. The idea of using Substitution-Minor Arpeggios for Dom7 and Major-Chords. Also I'm working on Charlie Christian's strategy to link chord-licks together with chromatic passingtones. But it's really hard to find out all the ideas. (Sorry about my English & best regards from cologne :-)

@@hilmarholland9165 thanks for describing, it’s good to know what is helpful for future videos I make.
Can’t get enough of Charlie! He’s so great. Have you tried transcribing him or learning any of his solos? I love his use of rhythm.

@@jazzguitarwithandy I've transcribed nearly 50 of his Solos with guitarpro. It was hard to find the correct chord-shapes. Your Charlie Christian videos were very helpful for me. I started with his simple solos in slow speed. But playing a solo note for note is one thing. On the other hand I would like to play a solo in Charlie Christians style but with my own ideas.

@@hilmarholland3986 that’s amazing! Yes, I’m the same. I like trying to create ideas in his style
