Great lesson. I can't get enough of Charlie Christian and T bone walker. It's so fun to play and such a great way to learn how to play the changes. This and bluegrass which I know is not this channel but it's interesting how similar these styles are.
Hey Andy, great video !! Thank you! I’m searching for the vintage 47 amp replica of CC ! Where did you buy it? I’m from Italy and I’m afraid for the long distance travel for the shipping! Hope u can help me. Again thank you! @jazzguitarwithandy
Thanks for another great tutorial. Q do you think it helps jazz playing to use a “jazz” (thicker) plectrum rather than a regular one? I’ve never used one and wondered if I should get a couple
I think the majority like to use something a bit thicker. It’s a very personal thing but worth experimenting with. I’d try the Dunlop stubby or the Dunlop jazz 3 plectrum. Maybe get a mixture of thicknesses. For Django style playing people often use incredibly thick plectrums. I like the jazz 3s as it feels good to me on all types of guitars.

Love Charlie Christian. Really well explained lesson, could watch and listen to you analysing Charlie's playing all day, lol, thank you 👍
Glad you liked it! Thanks for the comment.
Really good lesson. Nice pace and the split screen and accompanying document with chord degrees is really useful.
Thanks Joe. Hope you are well and thank you for the feedback 😀
Charlie the man
He sure is!
Bravo Andy!!
Thank you 🙏
Love the sound of your guitar and a great lesson. Thank you.
Thank you kindly!

Agreed. T Bone-Walker is one my favourite guitar players. Such a shame Charlie didn't live longer. Who knows what he would have gone onto do.
Really nice video
Thanks
Excellent Lesson!
Glad you liked it Hilmar 😀
Great this thanks! I play some blues , but really love this sound
Thanks Rob. I can imagine Charlie appeals to a lot of blues players.
@@jazzguitarwithandy Alvin Lee was a big fan.
Thanks buddy, please do a video on "Solo Flight".
Good lesson, but I can't take my eyes off that gorgeous Tele!
Glad you like it!

Just sent you an email :)
Nice 😅😅😅
Thanks 😅
I think the story with christian is his melodic rhythm
His rhythm is a big part of why his playing is so good!

Jazz guitar with Andy thanks Andy 👍👍👍
in a blues, this pattern works over an I chord?
Yes, that's definitely how Charlie used it!
@@jazzguitarwithandy thanks!
