him & his wife hurt by a woman who had 1 glass of wine 3 hours prior... Umm That was a straight up car accident, i doubt it was a result of her impared ability to drive after a glass of wine 3 hours prior...
The speakers in this video are taking the wrong approach. Bullying the people in that room is just going to close their ears, cross their arms and dig their heels in. In June of 2000 when I was 23, I got a DUI. I blew a bac of .15 - I had to attend a MADD impact panel as part of the consequences. The one I went to wasn’t like this one. The mother’s were there because either their child was killed by a drunk driver OR their child was the one who was drinking and driving and killed themselves and/or somebody else. They weren’t there to make you feel like the biggest piece of shit on the planet and point fingers. We were treated and talked to like human beings. And guess what? At the end, there wasn’t a dry eye in the place. Most of us stayed after to offer condolences and cry with them and thank them for sharing their stories. Now, THAT had an impact on me.
Better yet. How did his brother come to get them out of the vehicle that he crashed? How did he go from being the fuck up to it being his brother? I think dude doesn't know wtf he's talking about from the brain damage.
I pounded 7 double shots of rum, Blacked out, and went for a joy ride. The cops found me driving 5 miles an hour on the wrong side of the freeway smh... Needless to say I don't drink anymore... P.S. I was a commercial driver
Ouch! What did you end up changing your job/career to? I am super impressed with my brother. He has been a UPS driver for nearly 30 years, since age 19, while being a daily drinker after work (mixed drinks, to boot!). He hasn’t received even a single traffic ticket all this time, because he knows full well that he has zero skills to pay for his family’s food and shelter if he screws up and loses his good paying job. He’s only an alcoholic after he clocks out and gets home, until he lays his head on his pillow to go to sleep at night. Never, ever drinks and drives. He has pulled the keys from plenty of his friends though when he witnesses them trying to pull that shite. I saw him do that first hand with a neighbor of his. They nearly got into a physical fight because the neighbor kept refusing to hand the keys over - he was insistent that he was fine to run to the store real quick to pick up some cigarettes.

I went to one of the Oregon ones. The police never showed up. MADD never showed up. Victims didnt show up. The film wasn't able to be played with sound! Complete screw-up. Yet they wouldn't reschedule when they could give a real presentation. Wouldn't give any refunds so you could attend another functional program. And they still issued certificates when all that happened was a silent movie for 20 minutes! So one doubts why these things are mandatory and costly when nothing is presented. Basically you're just paying for a certificate.
