In complete honesty I clicked on this video not knowing that it had religious content . For some back story I am not religious , i was raised somewhat Buddhist and although I have taken some classes on religion , have never found much meaning in God. However this is the first video that truly shows me how there's a possibility for God in my life. Although I would definitely have to do more research on my own thank you for showing me another possibility for my belief system.
Good thought provoking questions. I don’t agree with the conclusion. As someone who dressed extremely immodest for years I wish someone would have talked to me about and how it may cause others to stumble. Not just men but the women/coveting/them struggling with submission. Yes we seek to please the Lord above all, but NT talks about how we as a church body need to edify and put each other first before ourselves.
Thank you for sharing. Years ago I began my own journey of modesty through headwraps and outfits without language. I learned a lot about myself and overtime how I dressed outward has changed (replaced my Headwrap with locs, take weather into account, etc.) and I found that the healing I did on the inside covered me in modesty, I no longer needed the clothes to signal my relationship with God. ❤
Highlight of this video for me is to "not do anything without a clear conscience!" I love that. God is not the God of confusion, but of Peace. We're ought to make peaceful decisions without worrying about what other people would think because we are not here to pleased anyone BUT GOD! Awesome video 😊 I usually dont pay attention to what others are wearing either until i read the comments too. Recently on a IG post, a few people was pointing out the fact that someone is walking outside barefoot, and I was like, oh... lol. I honestly dont care to notice 😅
Modesty itself is non-negotiable. We do not dress to please ourselves; we dress to please the Lord. In the example of crop top lady: would that outfit have been appropriate for school if she were a teenager? It's all about the standards. Going to church in a crop top is weird and it seems almost disrespectful. Not to mention, lust is a huge stumbling block not just for men, but women as well. If you're wearing an immodest outfit because you aren't personally convicted, that means you have little regard for those around you. We are called to examine ourselves daily. Yes some people can get away with wearing an outfit that others can't, and that itself may be a heart issue. But if both are modest (not showing cleavage, too much skin, etc.) then there is respect not just for God, but also the church and one's self as well.
You can braid your hair. The point of that verse is to say that we should not try to draw inappropriate attention to ourselves in church. It’s not sinful to braid your hair or wear gold jewelry in church. But we should dress ourselves appropriately. God looks at our conscience. As long as we do things in faith with a clear conscience, we’re pleasing God.
Let me ask you a question. You said "what you wear is between you and God." So what would you say to a young lady that wear short shorts with her butt cheeks showing but believes God approves? Feels her conscience is clear and puts the responsible of lust of the observer? Or shes into tight clothing or whatever.
i think we should dress in what makes us confident and not dress for anyone else..... school dress codes are so biased and sexist. let. us. express. ourselves.
@@theHolybrattthat scripture is saying it’s good to look good and all that but at the end of the day beauty comes from the heart and ur relationship with God which is more important 🙏🏾🙏🏾🤍

Thanks for watching! 😊 The conscience is so important and not talked about enough.
There are definitely some garments that just shouldn't be worn for all situations/occasion.
I agree with thus but I might also add u must consider whether what ur wearing is tempting other or misleading them into sin as well.
