    Hey man, I like the way you're using the packout system for storage inside a smaller van. It would be great for service, inspections, and also light/small jobs.
    The shallow smaller packout storage bins I use like you for anything small like screws, impact and drill bits, pencils, pens and markers, machine and ground screws and others similar items.
    The packout drawers I would use exclusively for all receptacles, switches, their covers, sealants/fire block, zip ties, extra tapes, and smaller power tool and their blades.
    The deeper packouts storage bins help with hole saw kits and sawzall blades, my M12 batteries and chargers, and also the actual M12 tools (some).
    Larger packout storage bins can hold larger tools out of view, and other miscellaneous hand tools.
    A 12" or 14" piece of 3" SCH 80 PVC helps for long auger bits, torpedo levels and similar long items.
    A 10.5 ' length of 4" or 6" plumbing PVC pipe helps on top of the van for EMT, PVC and ground rods with Little Giant ladders to either side.
    The top portion of the rear doors where the windows would go if you had any are perfect to put your extension cords or any rope you may need for pulling.
    They sell hooks that attach to the packout system as well and those are pretty handy.

      Thank you so much for this comment! I will deff put into use some of the recommendations you have given, and also I definitely need the roof rack so I can attach my ladder and a big pvc pipe on top, so is still a work in progress to get it where it wanted but thank you for all your suggestions !

    Nice setup, I have also struggled with finding electrician van setups.
    For the wire sliding out issue, add a shelf on the same side. I hope to post my setup soon.

    This is Awesome!
    I would love to work out of that
    People wonder why I buy the best of the best
    If it makes my life easier at work, that peaceful day transfer over to my home life.
    Overall improves my quality of life.
    If I die poor but had a great quality of life, then I lived to my fullest
    Makes me want a van!
    Unfortunately I need a long bed to hold all the materials for the jobs I do.

    Very nice setup! I’ve got the same van and all the packout gear too but I need to get some racking like you have to organise other bits. Currently got the 3 piece set with wheels etc and the drawers and crates but not got any proper mounting plates or brackets since I cannot decide how I want to properly lay it all out haha. UK electrician too so got to carry a lot different size cable to you by the looks of it?
    Thanks for the video, like you say it’s hard to find videos of our vans!

      Hey! Thanks for your comment, I’m actually an electrician in the states, but yeah packout was the way to go for me due to me also being indecisive on the layout or if In the future I wanna change it around, but I hope you decide on your layout soon and hopefully you get to show all of us so we can get some ideas from you!

    I really like your setup. I use a lot of the same packouts. I am really interested in your cage behind the seats and that shelving in the back. Could you please provide some details on those?

    hey dude, im getting a transit connect myself. What is the name of the clamp holding your 3/4inch bender? I do have a lot of ideas to make your set up better, but it depends on what type work you do.

    • @toolniche1831
      @toolniche1831  Рік тому +1

      Nice ! Would definitely love to see the setup you do on your truck, and the clamps are called quick fist rubber clamps, I got them from Amazon, love using them. And yes man I’m open to all suggestions, I’m an electrician mostly residential.

    Real electricians don’t use broom 😂 just kidding😅 nice setup man. I’m thinking of installing Milwaukee packout in my transit connect

    • @toolniche1831
      @toolniche1831  Рік тому

      Hahaha so I’ve heard, but thanks Man, I def recommend the packout, it gives you the option to change your setup around in the future if needed. Definitely go for it.

    For the wire under the shelf, you might try a rubber boot tray. That will probably keep it from sliding around.

  • @nunearteaga53

    On the little one, keep like your wire nuts and extra roll of tape extra bits screws different sizes things that you use constantly

  • @Rrhode23
    @Rrhode23 Рік тому +1

    To keep you’re wire from sliding maybe use two 3’ bungee cords

  • @jorgepineda9457
    @jorgepineda9457 Рік тому

    You should have all your packout on a sliding tray so you wouldn’t have to climb inside your van to grab stuff !
