Everyone is looking for information about Scribbing, but I'm dying to know what the housing update is. I feel so teased. 😅 I'll be wondering what the housing update is every day until they tell us.

Dang, sorry to hear it. I would definitely recommend running dungeons with likeminded peeps that you can find in guilds! It’s what I do, and I always have great dungeon experiences 🙏
Yeah honestly I just started recently. And this game has one of the absolute worst new player experiences, and the community is 9/10 of that. I've been told "STFU noob" asking for time for dungeon quests. All sorts of stupid stuff, I've had to make more reports in a couple weeks, then I have in any other MMORPG in years. This game has a super super toxic community, this game is gonna have some ban waves coming out

I came back to ESO for a bit because of the Hermaeus theme of Nrcrom and the Arcanist. Stopped for a bit but scribing is definitely going to bring me back, I feel like the devs are getting better at continuously giving us more interesting and in-depth content that we actually want : D
For those who say the pvp is the only thing to do end game..There are more end game type of content, if you have a more open mind with things. Such as, get into housing. Become more interactive within a guild or 5 and handle all different types of guild events. Mentor others in pve and/or pvp. Create and role-play max amount of characters. Theory build a 4 man team so buffs/de-buffs don't get over-stacked or miss anything necessary without unnecessary tactics. Just to list a few general ideas that you could delve into. My personal favorite is the housing with seemingly infinite creativity and helping out literally anyone needing reasonable help within the community.

Ehhhhh, honestly I was really hoping scribing would be something massive. A skill line you could completely fill multiple bars with and not even touch the surface of it. A way to add a lot of the missing spells or skill lines from TES. In reality it's just an extra skill for your weapon that has more than two morphs
I do wonder what kind of primary/secondary/tertiary effects we will be able to scribe these skills with. Maybe we will get some effects that resemble the kind of things that we had in the other Elder Scrolls games that are missing from ESO 🤔
Wow, I was expecting something big, 10 years it been. And we got a whole lot of the same. Yay we can zip around blinding people with colorful spells like in Warframe soon. Like what about modernizing the game?
lol people are allowed to dislike things while hoping those same things get better. I like the tes world and lore but this game has some serious issues that keep me from putting any time into it. Would be nice if the combat got improved and if there were more options for pvp, but even that isnt enough imo. The desisions they make even with this expack are extremely greedy and money hungery.@@Michael64425
The way they mapped out the zone when looking at Tamriel makes the zone look huge! I know ESO's mapping logic doesn't always work like that but I do hope it's really big but still fleshed out of course
I'm SUPER excited for Gold Road! I'm really excited for Scribing and being able to change the style of an ability, that would be very cool. I'm also super happy there's some Bosmer involved in the story! I was hoping for a Bosmer chapter too, Arty, but hopefully this will satisfy us for now. Lol
I love the game honestly it’s one of the best RPG MMO out there and I really feel like the game is not dead it’s just going through rehabilitation, I have a strong feeling the future for eso is gonna be amazing. The PVP aspect of the game is good but I really think they’ll revamp it because ESO is a steady growing community and it definitely need some balance. Now if they added more races also cross play and more styles that are obtained through actually playing the game that would be epic but I’m here to stay 🎉
This uodate perfectly sums up the ESO experience as a whole, “lots of potential but completely underwhelming.” Ever since launch, when I bought this game, it has forever been underwhelming. I sincerely want to love this game and have invested so much money waiting for the day the game reaches its potential, alas 10 years later, it still has not.

You want to know what keeps me playing ESO after all these years? The lore. I like the game play, but I absolutely love the lore of the Elder Scrolls. I'm so excited.
Woah hey...look at that cool sword skin in the screenshot at 5:03! Looks quite different than anything we've gotten so far. I honestly hope that after all they've learned from High Isle and even Necrom where they shook up the formula for ESO a bit, that they realize they can do SO MUCH more with TES and Tamriel than doing the expected for ESO. A variety of things, including even those sword skins, point in the direction of embracing a bit more creativity it seems...
I liked the new feature where we can change the look of skills. I just hope it also include sound. Its a lot of good skills I never use because the sound is annoying. Wall of elements is one of them with the «ahhh» sound the character makes when casting it. It would be cool if we could customize things like that.
Looking forward to the Gold Coast... but also broke my pea-picking heart. I was hoping that the combat pets would already be considered a 'skill' and that we could change the look of them now, is what it is, and I will look forward to seeing if they actually do it down the road. I am totally hyped to see that Mizzik is coming back! Not to mention our favorite vampire friend! The visuals! It looks like it's going to have a completely different feel to it, which is awesome! Seeing Bravil as a PvE town kinda makes up for my other favorite town being in a PvP zone. Overall, it looks like a great new zone and Chapter.
I was a little disappointed with the answer too, but I appreciated that the dev's at least have a vision for how they want the overland content to be like and they are sticking to it, I can respect that decision.
I stopped playing a few years ago, but with all the new exciting stuff coming out now I might get back into it. Just not excited about doing a sub again, and I recall that a sub is needed in order to have enough bank space. Still, ESO has a whole lot going for it.
It seems like the state of the game is pretty healthy. In the new PTS they're trying to address issues with magic and martial damage effects, and I'm really excited to see if lightning staff is finally going to see the damage boost it needed to stay in the top dps. I've wanted to play a lightning sorc since my early days but i felt obligated to abandon that path after i saw that flame staff simply offered superior damage for group content.
Let me start by saying I love your videos and I’ve been playing ESO since 2015 that being said, yes it’s awesome! Did anyone speak about champion points? Like finally being able to utilize all of your champion points? Anything after 1600 points is useless.
1. Hyped 2. This looks pretty positive for the future. 3. That sudden appearance of Jungle they mentioned on the borders with Valenwood is going to have Tiber Septim turning in his grave. @@DA-xz6wm Tiber Septim used the power of CHIM to change history, so Cyrodil and central Tamriel was never a jungle, even though it was a jungle in the past. Getting a headache now. But you are right, even though he had already changed the jungles from the future, he hadn't died yet, so couldn't turn in his grave. 😖
@@nelson_rebel3907 Its one on those wibbly wobbly timey wimey things. He changed history so that the jungle never existed in the first place. Which is why at the time of ESO the central empire area (Cyrodil et al) isn't covered in Jungle. He made the change somewhere around the start of the third era, but the effect was that jungles were redacted right back into the Merethic Era so they never existed. ESO is full of time slips, loops, paradoxes and the occasional Dragon Break.
I've been away from ESO for a while, and even as I played it before uninstalling I basically engaged with nothing I actually enjoyed when I first started, just caught in the daily grinding loop to no real end. However this Scribing feature is along the lines of something I've thought the game's needed for a very long time, and may actually be enough to get me to reinstall the game, at least to check it out. However, if it's tied to purchase of the chapter as opposed to being built into the base-game update I'll be sorely disappointed in ZOS (although it wouldn't surprise me)
Great video! A bit disappointed by the answers to story mode/overland difficulty as I love the world and questlines but find the gameplay boring. Happy that the question was asked, and it's understandable. I hope one day they may be able to look at more options for different types of players
Yeah I was a bit disappointed with the answer as well, but I understand where their creative vision lies. One of my favourite games is Valheim, and the devs of that game have been asked for *easier* content from some of their players, and they always double down and assert that they have a specific vision for the game and they are going to stick with it. Some players may not like that, but most players can respect the fact that they have a specific vision for the game and are sticking to it. I think the same can be said for ESO.
@@ArtteaGood points and well said! I'm personally a soulsborne player, so I love the challenge, and similarly, they have a vision like valhiem. ESO has everything I want in an MMO besides the questing difficulty/combat, but as you said, it's understandable considering their specific vision welcoming for all style
I want to know what's coming for housing!! I hope were getting some more Ayleid furnishings. One thing that caught my attention during the reveal was the Ayleid ruins not being completely ransacked like they are in the rest of Tamriel.
Maaaaaaaybe an increase in housing furnishings or more items that are pre-made instead of use doing things brick by brick? I was over the moon with all the walls, doors, stairs, flower pots with plants already apart of it, etc that have come out last year. I would love more of that. Tbh...there is ONE thing stupid , silly thing that would make me ridiculously happy. A music box with an upbeat sea chanty type tune. Something that makes my hard war torn too want to stamp their boots to the beat, clap their hands, grab a partner, and sing along. All their "rowdy" pub song would put most of my toons to sleep.
I've said this over the years The main problem with this game campaign open world content is it's not rememberable and the main reason for that is it's too easy it doesn't leave an impression on you you don't remember it because it doesn't kick your ass not even a little bit I'm not saying for it to be hard but man

I feel so torn with this, as I would love to come back but as there will never be cross save I'm stuck on PS4 and hence my close to 1500 hours are basicly gone as the game is unplayable on old systems 😭 had I been wiser back then I would have started on PC in the first place.
I started back in 2015 on ps4, leveled 2 characters rank veteran 12, then 14, then 16. Had 1200cps when the cap was 480 or so. I started playing again in 2018 on pc and now I have 2000cp ( I stopped playing bunch of times ) 12 characters full geared. I'd say you could try it on pc and play it chill at the beginning, is a huge difference!😊
I dunno guys, all the achievements, mounts etc. I probably poured 1k in euros to the game as well so to get all those housing items, motifs etc. 💀 Geez makes me sweat from fear already
@@forest_hobo I'm in same shoes, but different. I deleted my PC account in 2018 (personal reasons, had to be done), but life changed and now I'm back. Playing already month and it's fun. It's sad to not have old things, character, house, but if you like the game, why not. It's not like we will have great MMO's soon. Also it's a fast to get back, because you already have knowledge about the game and now you will have addons to support you.
Will scribing be exclusive paid content for people who own the Gold Road chapter like Jewlery Crafting/Summerset? I am thinking about re-buying ESO & haven't played since greymoor. I was thinking about getting the Necrom Collection on it's next discount, but will everyone have access to scribing on release? Or should I wait for the Gold Road collection?
Scribing will only be available to those that purchase the Gold Road chapter, as it comes with that specific piece of content (it won't be a base game feature unfortunately). So if you're looking to purchase Necrom *and* have access to scribing, it may be best to just purchase the version of Gold Road that comes with all of the previous chapters.
crossplay in the open world would kinda tank the economies, so I get that, but having it for dungeons, trials, bg's and arenas should be implemented in some way. Half of pc players use a controller anyway.
Came back to ESO after 8 years and the combat immediately bucked me right off. Its the exact same thing even today. Its floaty with no impact with the enemy even on melee characters.Then we have only 6 skills we can cast. And 99% of the time its 4 buff skills, 1 ultimate and 1 spammable skill making most of the builds feel the same. Not to mention weaving will be a thing if I stick around. They really need to fix the combat feel of the game.
I cant wait for Gold Road! I dont know if its my age or what but I have all of the ESO DLC's but I dont understand why when looking online it shows I am still needing Murkmier for example I can travel and played all of the content in that area can someone please help explain to this older person 😅
I spent a grip of time learning Vet. Right when I started to really understand what was needed from me and for end game...boom! no more vet system😅😅. That is one of the hardest parts of playing beta until present in a game that has evolved so much. I would finally start figuring out mechanics , sets, etc and then...naw, we arnt doing that any more 🫥 There would be HUGE game mechanics overhauls. Not little things like balancing or adding new content. But legit overhauls. After vet, I have been very leary of bothering to understand all the nuances of skills, champion, gear, mechanics, or even runs because there is a good chance it is just going to have a major shift. I am no way saying that many of these evolutionary shifts were bad. Vet was a bad system. One Tamrial is everything. Gold silver tower did need overhauls. The first trees were stale and character stifling, and the change to the champion system is much better. It's just frustrating for me to have to relearn everything. The growing pains are real and this game will probably never stop developmentally growing, which is great. Just not for my ADHD, dyslexic, dyscalculia, and other learning disability ass 😂😂 regardless, I still will keep playing. As of now, I limp along and bother to venture into new game mechanics when I am feeling brave, but atm...I am OK being in a top tier trade guild, obsessing over my house, and farm for my decompress time after uni. Maybe this summer, when I have more time, patience, and emotional energy, I can drag out my combat matrics, try some of the newer classes, story lines, and maybe start doing harder runs. Lol I haven't even attempted maelstrom arena since it's drop or any of the newer runs since 2017 yet have them all lol Might as well do SOMETHING with the literal 1000's hours of chapter and DLCs content I haven't even experienced 😅
I hope for crossplay thet make it so that pc and console servers just get sorta access to everyone instead of completely merging because maybe then it wouldn't be that big of a hassle
I'll say this.. when they started talking about styles for the abilities I said "that's a crown store thing" and immediately was rebuked by the lady on the live stream. So they exceeded my expectations there. Mostly I really want to see more examples of Scribing and stoked that PVP is FINALLY getting some attention... ANY attention. lol.
I am cautiously optimistic. I need to see more about the scribing before being able to make My mind up on it Honestly i had hoped for a New magic weapon, coming up on 10 years with only 1 magic based weapon (being staff for both resto and damage) it is getting rough lol
Yeah I wonder if making a new weapon will even be possible at this point - I've always wondered how they would be able to integrate the existing motif styles into a new weapon. The devs did mention that there will be a future stream that further delves into what scribing is, so I look forward to catching that stream!

I would love cross play or at least the ability to change between the platform's so people and myself can play with each other that have other platforms. Hopefully my explanation makes sentences.
You'd expect for their 10 year anniversary to do more than the safe usual... No combat overhaul, no graphical updates, no animation updates, just more of the same that's been added up until now; definition of insanity and all that.
I just want a rework on skill visual, some class and weapons have a band animation and visual in some skills,, we cant even see if you have casted the skill because it is small or strange
I'm a bit afraid of Skill crafting. I hope it's only a style thing. Or atleast I hope it's blocked in PvP. Because if they give me to many good options, I will completly break the living mess outta that.
I'm a bit disappointed that there will be only two new dungeons for the whole year, like last year. Also, when the story lead guy introduced himself on stream as the one responsible for Greymoor and High Isle, my expectations for Gold Road's story plummeted significantly. :D Those were rather weak chapters, imho. Other than that, I'm cautiously optimistic about the new stuff. And at least Gold Road will be pretty to look at. :)
I havent played for about 7 months, and this is unlikely to bring me back unless i get some confirmation from other raiders that the game has become more interesting. Having also experienced the balance work ZOS has done, i currently dont have faith that the scribing system will be anything genuinely enjoyable and in depth, since to do that they would need to do a lot of balancing work. Probably my main issue overall though is that there was no mention of improvement of the reward structure for endgame content, where before there were skins, sick mounts and other stuff, now we just have titles, and the shitty reskin of a much cooler mount from the cash shop. There is nothing really, sans the title (which people wont see at a glance), to display your achievements adequately, and so it takes away hugely from the immersion/hero fantasy. Also, not addressing the infinite amount of sets, how the vast majority are useless, or at the very least hugely underperforming compared to other sets which are basically just "flat increase of damage when X condition is met", combined with the hybridisation, means that every class plays basically the same, optimal builds for everyone are the same, and gameplay just feels stale. The real disappointment for me is that there are so many cool sets which have the potential to make more variety in gameplay, but are left to sit in obscurity. Forgive the massive spiel, but it boils down to this: The RPG aspects of build making and feeling accomplished for your achievements in game are hugely lacklustre for me, and from experience i dont have faith that the devs will improve on it anytime soon. Would love to be proven wrong, but until i am i will just play other stuff.

Tbh, although i love the game regardless of how badly I play, I was kinda bummed when they stopped incorporating the dyes for achievements. It sounds super silly and lame, like, who cares about dyes? I don't know why that bummed me out so much. I agree with you tho. Getting a title isn't doing it for me. I would be happier with maybe more exclusive furniture for the harder achievements or idle animations . Maybe even another 5 item pet or an extra 30/60 item chest that is featured as an armoire or something. Maybe some pet interaction animations. I don't know, but something that will really get me excited about maybe playing a different way just to get the reward. Like, i hate fishing, but i want that damned boat, so i fish. And bring back the stupid dyes 😡👀
I really dislike how the arguments around harder overland content are laid out. The devs framing it as if it can only be easy or hard is a false dilemma. LOTRO solved this problem with landscape difficulty options that one can opt into if they want more of a challenge. It in no way splits the community or makes content harder for more casual players. Some people just can't stay engaged if they find something too easy, and they shouldn't be dismissed any more than casual players shouldn't be. For them, the vast majority of the game's content is not enjoyable and that's an issue that's not going away.
Face roll overland difficulty is what keeps me getting away from ESO. How difficult is it to make a "Heroic" or more challenging instance by giving us the option to choose a difficulty by entering te zone or an option to witch it on or off ? I remember when Everquest 2 brought the Heroic overland difficulty choice option in. That was so fantastic and made the game feel like a complete new game because of the more difficult/challenging npc trash mobs. Suddenly food, poisons, all te skills, blocking/dodging etc really meant something while adventuring. ESO overland stuff is like 1 or 2 fast attack face rol almost all content there .l Can't even use the skills to full potential here. If ESO wants to bring in more players or bring back old players, they should really give us this option. Dungeons and that kind of stuff is not going to cut it. Many people, like me, love to do overland stuff too. I really hope they will give it a real good thought again and realise it can and will be great for ESO.
So partial bosmer love, I like that. A purple wall of elements, I really like that. A possible pvp update in Q4, this could really make me want to play again. ~ Necrow
scribing being locked unless you buy the expack is lame imo. I only buy regions im interested in, while oblivion was my favorite TeS game and the expack seems cool it just sucks for people who play base game or dont keep up with the latest releases. IDK the money hungery, greedy decisions are why i keep my distance when it comes to this game.
I hope them having two expansions linked together doesn't become a normal thing they keep doing. It was bad enough buying the expansion then still having to buy more dlc to get the full story but two full expansions is just bordering Bungie level greed with storytelling.
I remember a while back the devs shared that they were going to be straying away from the "year long format" of content, and I think a lot of us thought that meant that all of the content that would be released in a single year would no longer be related to one another. INSTEAD, it seems to have meant that the year-long story format has been replaced by one that spans multiple years, and yeah, I can see how that may not be appreciated by some players. I never finished the Necrom questline for example! So finding out about the major plot point for Gold Road spoiled the ending of Necrom for me
@@Arttea I haven't played Necrom either as it just looks too much like a mashup of the Morrowind expansion and the Dragonborn dlc from Skyrim and I've already played both. Was waiting for arcanist to hit the crown store to buy that separately. Now I feel like I have to buy the full expansion instead just to be able to access all the content in the next one. I love ESO but if this keeps up I'll probably end up looking at other mmos instead.
I am very bummed that they won’t look into balancing, where in PvP every is very tank and burst damage melt few people and still stand to do it again. 😢 I really don’t think the devs are listening and they’re trying to make it look very flashy to lure into more purchases at this point I’m so disappointed
This Scribing sounds really cool, and potentially really funny. The more customization you give players, the more… *unique* their battle tactics will get.
I dislike seeing the "we'll see" attitude when it comes to cross play relating to platform-specific markets, only because there's already been a game that did it, and recently too: Warframe. Cross play is easy, DE kept the actual trade markets separate at first to sort of sidestep the economy issue but came back with a pretty decent solution in my opinion. You have access to your platforms market obviously, but if you want to go from, say, xbox to PC you need to have a PC account, and merge the two together. I'm 90% of the time playing on Xbox, but now I'm not limited to just the Xbox market.
Great video, I always enjoy your humor. Personally, I thought the reveal was meh. I guess I need to see it implemented then maybe I can get excited about it. At this stage I just find some goal to achieve for myself like collecting all the craftable sets for the master crafting tables, but I just play on autopilot often while watching UA-cam or listening to music. I would love something to get me excited about ESO again. So it looks like Bosmer get thrown a bone in this chapter. Hopefully, some new armor and furnishings. 🤞🏼

Ehhhhh, honestly I was really hoping scribing would be something massive. A skill line you could completely fill multiple bars with and not even touch the surface of it. A way to add a lot of the missing spells or skill lines from TES.
In reality it's just an extra skill for your weapon that has more than two morphs
I do wonder what kind of primary/secondary/tertiary effects we will be able to scribe these skills with. Maybe we will get some effects that resemble the kind of things that we had in the other Elder Scrolls games that are missing from ESO 🤔

The way they mapped out the zone when looking at Tamriel makes the zone look huge! I know ESO's mapping logic doesn't always work like that but I do hope it's really big but still fleshed out of course

I'm SUPER excited for Gold Road! I'm really excited for Scribing and being able to change the style of an ability, that would be very cool. I'm also super happy there's some Bosmer involved in the story! I was hoping for a Bosmer chapter too, Arty, but hopefully this will satisfy us for now. Lol

I love the game honestly it’s one of the best RPG MMO out there and I really feel like the game is not dead it’s just going through rehabilitation, I have a strong feeling the future for eso is gonna be amazing. The PVP aspect of the game is good but I really think they’ll revamp it because ESO is a steady growing community and it definitely need some balance. Now if they added more races also cross play and more styles that are obtained through actually playing the game that would be epic but I’m here to stay 🎉

You want to know what keeps me playing ESO after all these years? The lore. I like the game play, but I absolutely love the lore of the Elder Scrolls. I'm so excited.
Woah hey...look at that cool sword skin in the screenshot at 5:03! Looks quite different than anything we've gotten so far. I honestly hope that after all they've learned from High Isle and even Necrom where they shook up the formula for ESO a bit, that they realize they can do SO MUCH more with TES and Tamriel than doing the expected for ESO. A variety of things, including even those sword skins, point in the direction of embracing a bit more creativity it seems...
I liked the new feature where we can change the look of skills. I just hope it also include sound. Its a lot of good skills I never use because the sound is annoying. Wall of elements is one of them with the «ahhh» sound the character makes when casting it. It would be cool if we could customize things like that.
Looking forward to the Gold Coast... but also broke my pea-picking heart. I was hoping that the combat pets would already be considered a 'skill' and that we could change the look of them now, is what it is, and I will look forward to seeing if they actually do it down the road.
I am totally hyped to see that Mizzik is coming back! Not to mention our favorite vampire friend!
The visuals! It looks like it's going to have a completely different feel to it, which is awesome! Seeing Bravil as a PvE town kinda makes up for my other favorite town being in a PvP zone.

I was a little disappointed with the answer too, but I appreciated that the dev's at least have a vision for how they want the overland content to be like and they are sticking to it, I can respect that decision.
Yeah main reason why I never came back to ESO sadly. I really liked overland content but it is just too easy
I stopped playing a few years ago, but with all the new exciting stuff coming out now I might get back into it. Just not excited about doing a sub again, and I recall that a sub is needed in order to have enough bank space. Still, ESO has a whole lot going for it.
It seems like the state of the game is pretty healthy. In the new PTS they're trying to address issues with magic and martial damage effects, and I'm really excited to see if lightning staff is finally going to see the damage boost it needed to stay in the top dps. I've wanted to play a lightning sorc since my early days but i felt obligated to abandon that path after i saw that flame staff simply offered superior damage for group content.

Let me start by saying I love your videos and I’ve been playing ESO since 2015 that being said, yes it’s awesome! Did anyone speak about champion points? Like finally being able to utilize all of your champion points? Anything after 1600 points is useless.

@@nelson_rebel3907 Its one on those wibbly wobbly timey wimey things. He changed history so that the jungle never existed in the first place. Which is why at the time of ESO the central empire area (Cyrodil et al) isn't covered in Jungle. He made the change somewhere around the start of the third era, but the effect was that jungles were redacted right back into the Merethic Era so they never existed.
ESO is full of time slips, loops, paradoxes and the occasional Dragon Break.

I've been away from ESO for a while, and even as I played it before uninstalling I basically engaged with nothing I actually enjoyed when I first started, just caught in the daily grinding loop to no real end. However this Scribing feature is along the lines of something I've thought the game's needed for a very long time, and may actually be enough to get me to reinstall the game, at least to check it out. However, if it's tied to purchase of the chapter as opposed to being built into the base-game update I'll be sorely disappointed in ZOS (although it wouldn't surprise me)

Yeah I was a bit disappointed with the answer as well, but I understand where their creative vision lies. One of my favourite games is Valheim, and the devs of that game have been asked for *easier* content from some of their players, and they always double down and assert that they have a specific vision for the game and they are going to stick with it. Some players may not like that, but most players can respect the fact that they have a specific vision for the game and are sticking to it. I think the same can be said for ESO.

ESO has everything I want in an MMO besides the questing difficulty/combat, but as you said, it's understandable considering their specific vision welcoming for all style

I want to know what's coming for housing!! I hope were getting some more Ayleid furnishings. One thing that caught my attention during the reveal was the Ayleid ruins not being completely ransacked like they are in the rest of Tamriel.
Maaaaaaaybe an increase in housing furnishings or more items that are pre-made instead of use doing things brick by brick? I was over the moon with all the walls, doors, stairs, flower pots with plants already apart of it, etc that have come out last year. I would love more of that. Tbh...there is ONE thing stupid , silly thing that would make me ridiculously happy. A music box with an upbeat sea chanty type tune. Something that makes my hard war torn too want to stamp their boots to the beat, clap their hands, grab a partner, and sing along. All their "rowdy" pub song would put most of my toons to sleep.
I've said this over the years The main problem with this game campaign open world content is it's not rememberable and the main reason for that is it's too easy it doesn't leave an impression on you you don't remember it because it doesn't kick your ass not even a little bit I'm not saying for it to be hard but man

Infinite Archive was free and we got that in Q4 of 2023 so that would be pretty sweet if we got some free companions for Q4 in 2024 as well!
I feel so torn with this, as I would love to come back but as there will never be cross save I'm stuck on PS4 and hence my close to 1500 hours are basicly gone as the game is unplayable on old systems 😭 had I been wiser back then I would have started on PC in the first place.
I started back in 2015 on ps4, leveled 2 characters rank veteran 12, then 14, then 16. Had 1200cps when the cap was 480 or so.
I started playing again in 2018 on pc and now I have 2000cp ( I stopped playing bunch of times ) 12 characters full geared.
I'd say you could try it on pc and play it chill at the beginning, is a huge difference!😊
I jumped from PS4 to PC about 2 yrs ago. It goes fast and isn't the horrible grind I thought. Cheers

@@forest_hobo I'm in same shoes, but different. I deleted my PC account in 2018 (personal reasons, had to be done), but life changed and now I'm back. Playing already month and it's fun. It's sad to not have old things, character, house, but if you like the game, why not. It's not like we will have great MMO's soon. Also it's a fast to get back, because you already have knowledge about the game and now you will have addons to support you.

Will scribing be exclusive paid content for people who own the Gold Road chapter like Jewlery Crafting/Summerset? I am thinking about re-buying ESO & haven't played since greymoor. I was thinking about getting the Necrom Collection on it's next discount, but will everyone have access to scribing on release? Or should I wait for the Gold Road collection?
Scribing will only be available to those that purchase the Gold Road chapter, as it comes with that specific piece of content (it won't be a base game feature unfortunately). So if you're looking to purchase Necrom *and* have access to scribing, it may be best to just purchase the version of Gold Road that comes with all of the previous chapters.

crossplay in the open world would kinda tank the economies, so I get that, but having it for dungeons, trials, bg's and arenas should be implemented in some way. Half of pc players use a controller anyway.

Came back to ESO after 8 years and the combat immediately bucked me right off. Its the exact same thing even today. Its floaty with no impact with the enemy even on melee characters.Then we have only 6 skills we can cast. And 99% of the time its 4 buff skills, 1 ultimate and 1 spammable skill making most of the builds feel the same. Not to mention weaving will be a thing if I stick around. They really need to fix the combat feel of the game.
I cant wait for Gold Road! I dont know if its my age or what but I have all of the ESO DLC's but I dont understand why when looking online it shows I am still needing Murkmier for example I can travel and played all of the content in that area can someone please help explain to this older person 😅

I spent a grip of time learning Vet. Right when I started to really understand what was needed from me and for end game...boom! no more vet system😅😅. That is one of the hardest parts of playing beta until present in a game that has evolved so much. I would finally start figuring out mechanics , sets, etc and then...naw, we arnt doing that any more 🫥 There would be HUGE game mechanics overhauls. Not little things like balancing or adding new content. But legit overhauls. After vet, I have been very leary of bothering to understand all the nuances of skills, champion, gear, mechanics, or even runs because there is a good chance it is just going to have a major shift. I am no way saying that many of these evolutionary shifts were bad. Vet was a bad system. One Tamrial is everything. Gold silver tower did need overhauls. The first trees were stale and character stifling, and the change to the champion system is much better. It's just frustrating for me to have to relearn everything. The growing pains are real and this game will probably never stop developmentally growing, which is great. Just not for my ADHD, dyslexic, dyscalculia, and other learning disability ass 😂😂 regardless, I still will keep playing. As of now, I limp along and bother to venture into new game mechanics when I am feeling brave, but atm...I am OK being in a top tier trade guild, obsessing over my house, and farm for my decompress time after uni. Maybe this summer, when I have more time, patience, and emotional energy, I can drag out my combat matrics, try some of the newer classes, story lines, and maybe start doing harder runs. Lol I haven't even attempted maelstrom arena since it's drop or any of the newer runs since 2017 yet have them all lol Might as well do SOMETHING with the literal 1000's hours of chapter and DLCs content I haven't even experienced 😅
I hope for crossplay thet make it so that pc and console servers just get sorta access to everyone instead of completely merging because maybe then it wouldn't be that big of a hassle

I'll say this.. when they started talking about styles for the abilities I said "that's a crown store thing" and immediately was rebuked by the lady on the live stream. So they exceeded my expectations there. Mostly I really want to see more examples of Scribing and stoked that PVP is FINALLY getting some attention... ANY attention. lol.

Yeah I wonder if making a new weapon will even be possible at this point - I've always wondered how they would be able to integrate the existing motif styles into a new weapon. The devs did mention that there will be a future stream that further delves into what scribing is, so I look forward to catching that stream!

You'd expect for their 10 year anniversary to do more than the safe usual... No combat overhaul, no graphical updates, no animation updates, just more of the same that's been added up until now; definition of insanity and all that.

I'm a bit disappointed that there will be only two new dungeons for the whole year, like last year.
Also, when the story lead guy introduced himself on stream as the one responsible for Greymoor and High Isle, my expectations for Gold Road's story plummeted significantly. :D Those were rather weak chapters, imho.
Other than that, I'm cautiously optimistic about the new stuff. And at least Gold Road will be pretty to look at. :)
I havent played for about 7 months, and this is unlikely to bring me back unless i get some confirmation from other raiders that the game has become more interesting. Having also experienced the balance work ZOS has done, i currently dont have faith that the scribing system will be anything genuinely enjoyable and in depth, since to do that they would need to do a lot of balancing work.
Probably my main issue overall though is that there was no mention of improvement of the reward structure for endgame content, where before there were skins, sick mounts and other stuff, now we just have titles, and the shitty reskin of a much cooler mount from the cash shop. There is nothing really, sans the title (which people wont see at a glance), to display your achievements adequately, and so it takes away hugely from the immersion/hero fantasy.
Also, not addressing the infinite amount of sets, how the vast majority are useless, or at the very least hugely underperforming compared to other sets which are basically just "flat increase of damage when X condition is met", combined with the hybridisation, means that every class plays basically the same, optimal builds for everyone are the same, and gameplay just feels stale. The real disappointment for me is that there are so many cool sets which have the potential to make more variety in gameplay, but are left to sit in obscurity.
Forgive the massive spiel, but it boils down to this: The RPG aspects of build making and feeling accomplished for your achievements in game are hugely lacklustre for me, and from experience i dont have faith that the devs will improve on it anytime soon. Would love to be proven wrong, but until i am i will just play other stuff.
Out of curiosity, what type of achievements rewards would you like? Tbh, although i love the game regardless of how badly I play, I was kinda bummed when they stopped incorporating the dyes for achievements. It sounds super silly and lame, like, who cares about dyes? I don't know why that bummed me out so much. I agree with you tho. Getting a title isn't doing it for me. I would be happier with maybe more exclusive furniture for the harder achievements or idle animations . Maybe even another 5 item pet or an extra 30/60 item chest that is featured as an armoire or something. Maybe some pet interaction animations. I don't know, but something that will really get me excited about maybe playing a different way just to get the reward. Like, i hate fishing, but i want that damned boat, so i fish. And bring back the stupid dyes 😡👀

A bow healing bosmer might be viable now
I really dislike how the arguments around harder overland content are laid out. The devs framing it as if it can only be easy or hard is a false dilemma. LOTRO solved this problem with landscape difficulty options that one can opt into if they want more of a challenge. It in no way splits the community or makes content harder for more casual players. Some people just can't stay engaged if they find something too easy, and they shouldn't be dismissed any more than casual players shouldn't be. For them, the vast majority of the game's content is not enjoyable and that's an issue that's not going away.

Face roll overland difficulty is what keeps me getting away from ESO. How difficult is it to make a "Heroic" or more challenging instance by giving us the option to choose a difficulty by entering te zone or an option to witch it on or off ? I remember when Everquest 2 brought the Heroic overland difficulty choice option in. That was so fantastic and made the game feel like a complete new game because of the more difficult/challenging npc trash mobs. Suddenly food, poisons, all te skills, blocking/dodging etc really meant something while adventuring. ESO overland stuff is like 1 or 2 fast attack face rol almost all content there .l Can't even use the skills to full potential here. If ESO wants to bring in more players or bring back old players, they should really give us this option. Dungeons and that kind of stuff is not going to cut it. Many people, like me, love to do overland stuff too. I really hope they will give it a real good thought again and realise it can and will be great for ESO.

scribing being locked unless you buy the expack is lame imo. I only buy regions im interested in, while oblivion was my favorite TeS game and the expack seems cool it just sucks for people who play base game or dont keep up with the latest releases. IDK the money hungery, greedy decisions are why i keep my distance when it comes to this game.
I hope them having two expansions linked together doesn't become a normal thing they keep doing. It was bad enough buying the expansion then still having to buy more dlc to get the full story but two full expansions is just bordering Bungie level greed with storytelling.
I remember a while back the devs shared that they were going to be straying away from the "year long format" of content, and I think a lot of us thought that meant that all of the content that would be released in a single year would no longer be related to one another. INSTEAD, it seems to have meant that the year-long story format has been replaced by one that spans multiple years, and yeah, I can see how that may not be appreciated by some players. I never finished the Necrom questline for example! So finding out about the major plot point for Gold Road spoiled the ending of Necrom for me
@@Arttea I haven't played Necrom either as it just looks too much like a mashup of the Morrowind expansion and the Dragonborn dlc from Skyrim and I've already played both. Was waiting for arcanist to hit the crown store to buy that separately. Now I feel like I have to buy the full expansion instead just to be able to access all the content in the next one. I love ESO but if this keeps up I'll probably end up looking at other mmos instead.
I am very bummed that they won’t look into balancing, where in PvP every is very tank and burst damage melt few people and still stand to do it again. 😢 I really don’t think the devs are listening and they’re trying to make it look very flashy to lure into more purchases at this point I’m so disappointed

I dislike seeing the "we'll see" attitude when it comes to cross play relating to platform-specific markets, only because there's already been a game that did it, and recently too: Warframe. Cross play is easy, DE kept the actual trade markets separate at first to sort of sidestep the economy issue but came back with a pretty decent solution in my opinion. You have access to your platforms market obviously, but if you want to go from, say, xbox to PC you need to have a PC account, and merge the two together. I'm 90% of the time playing on Xbox, but now I'm not limited to just the Xbox market.

Personally, I thought the reveal was meh. I guess I need to see it implemented then maybe I can get excited about it. At this stage I just find some goal to achieve for myself like collecting all the craftable sets for the master crafting tables, but I just play on autopilot often while watching UA-cam or listening to music. I would love something to get me excited about ESO again.
So it looks like Bosmer get thrown a bone in this chapter. Hopefully, some new armor and furnishings. 🤞🏼
