It's hard not to be completely in love with the design and construction of this amazing shipping container home. Even more impressive than the home though, is Jaimie and Dave, who pushed through some tremendous challenges to make their dream come true. This is a story about finding joy, even in adversity. We hope you enjoy this weeks video! With love, Bryce & Rasa

Watching this couple holding hands the entire time while beaming about their home and at each other was beautiful to see. What an amazing recovery for him and they are truly a living testimony of faith, hope and love.
Yes! Only one other channel on UA-cam I can think of that does that, but they don't focus specifically on tiny houses. They cover all forms of alternative housing. Bryce, however, is a *much* better host in my opinion, and this channel is put together _way_ better than any other channel of it's type. Just seems like they really care about helping people to share their before stories and not just share the Instagram Airbnb IKEA after results.
What a beautiful couple. He loves her, he loves listening to her, she loves him and expresses their happiness. This is love, not power. Hope we all share that quality of relationship.

One thing that impresses me is that they've been living in the house for three years. In most of the videos, the occupants have spent a short time. I like it that these people have lived there and experienced life there. Also, they are not house bound, but active and outside. That's a real advantage to this type of living. Positive and up beat people, even after much adversity. Good on you.
@@Cody_Ramer So true! I wanted to see their workshop too, because that's part of the package. I think it would be very difficult to live on somebody's land without owning because you never know what might happen. It's like renting and having a landlord. These people know that the will be there and that's why they are planning to build more and to connect the two decks.
At first I was like, why is the lady doing all the talking and not letting the guy talk, I understood later, she is being protective after all the pain their went through. Lovely couple.
I really like the couple and may be she is extremely protective of him but it would be nice if she doesn’t interrupt him. Beautifully brilliant house BTW
I went through this with my partner. I had a brain injury and some other health complications that often made it hard for me to talk, literally saying words or just trying to say them in the way/order I wanted to. Many conversations we had with other people were things that we had discussed in depth as a couple and so we had little (almost unconscious) queues that indicated when I needed him to do the talking because I couldn't get there on my own. Over the years, as I recovered, that dynamic shifted back to me speaking more for myself as I was able to. Having him as verbal backup really helped deal with the stress of socializing when I was feeling impaired cognitively and physically.
First off: Love the color of this tiny home (of a shipping container)--orange! Secondly, their story is very heartfelt; it really got to me of the situations that this couple went through and were able to come out admist all the challenges they experienced. Wonderful story; many blessings. 🙏
This is a true lifetime love story. I'm a contractor and always enjoy new ideas in the building trade. I can see that this project was well planned. Dave you thought of everything. I want to wish you well with your health. May you both have the longest years together in the joy that you carved out for each other. May Jehovah continue to bless you and keep you both. You are wonderful people. And thanks for sharing. Karen
Absolutely. The most impressive part about this video is this wonderful woman who stood by her husbands side through thick and thin. What a great woman!! That's the kind of woman I'd like to be with. Not some materialistic woman.
"This was my best friend", this line spells out what true love between couples should be like. One that defines your significant half as your best friend. Best regards, Bryce & Rasa. :)
The home is beautiful, and their story is amazing. After Jamie talked about Dave and what they went through to get here, I had to stop the video and dry my eyes before proceeding. Tears of joy and love poured out. Thank you for sharing your story and home with us. GOD bless you both.
This is the first couple that actually explained how they got to be debt free. You would never guess anything was ever wrong with him. His recovery is truly a miracle!
Jijie Forsythe YES!! I absolutely loved that, as well!! That was something I longed for, when I was married! Not much of a surprise that we are no longer together, and that’s just fine! We were married 35 years!! Sad it took me so long to get out! I am extremely happy for this couple!!!
To me, it looks like he really looks to her as emotional support, he looks anxious and the way he is holding her hand it’s giving him strength and calm. They’ve been through a lot together
She explains on her blog that a lot of what he said was edited out because in certain parts he was slurring and stuttering his words due to his brain injury. Bryce and Rasa were kind to edit those parts out because there are mean people on social media that are not very kind and can make mean comments.

I'm a student that is pursuing speech language pathology, and I am so elated to hear about Dave's fantastic recovery after experiencing such a severe intracranial hemorrhage! His hard work in overcoming that debilitating experience with the support of his family and therapists is very inspiring. What a truly beautiful couple, and I'm so happy for their achievement in building their wonderful home.

The story of this couple is an outstanding example of how true love and partnership can overcome everything and achieve anything! The home is cute, the outdoors has come out of a fairytale. Thank you for sharing!
It made me cry, too! What a story! Such an awesome space. Such a miracle. They are such hard workers. Not everyone could do it. I love it. ❤️ I wish my husband could have survived his brain bleed. But I’m so thankful God gave us 45 years together as a team, with many adventures to enjoy. Our last year together turned out to be a grand finale, though we had no idea it would be that. Life is fragile, and it makes a huge difference to have joy in the journey. This couple are such dears. 💕
The fact that he stood there, in the driveway, waiting for her....and then as soon as she was in arm's reach he collapsed. "I was waiting for you before I fell asleep." Holy snap. God had his arms around him, holding him up 😭❤🙏
“You don’t have to go anywhere when this is your home”... so true... once you have a homestead, there’s just no place you’d rather be. Some people just have no idea what that’s like.
Exactly like you dont have to even bother to take any vacations most homesteads have trails or have some type of water nearby and so much land to roam, way different than living in a city
@@el7jake That's exactly right. There isn't enough land in the world for everyone to live in this kind of way. It's nice for those privileged enough to be able to, but it's not affordable or practical for everyone.
“joy is not ever present. You choose to be joyful amidst the turmoil”. My husband and I are caring for both of my elderly parents. We have been for the past year and a half. No breaks. Little help. These words are some I’m finding to be so true. I believe God sent you and your story to me now. Here, where it’s 1 a.m. and I’m staying awake so my husband can get sleep. Mom isn’t having a good night. But I choose to be joyful. Thank you for your story. Thank God for seeing me to you. I love your home. I’m so thankful for your healing. God Bless. 💜💚🤍
That quote took my breath away. I almost missed it because I was so distracted, and I backed up the video to watch that part again. Such wise and powerful words. I wish you the best as you care for your parents.
Bryce is the “Gold” standard of tiny home tours. He gives all the stats you want to know ~> INCLUDING price 💰, the lot, how much was DIY . And best of all he has been absolutely consistent throughout the reviews with this info all delivered in a timely manner that doesn’t drag on or get off track. This channel alone has convinced me to go tiny in the near future. Such a great source of well designed tiny homes at any budget. The Tiny home movement is just incredible and by far more sustainable for the masses than anything out there. Kudos & much respect 😇🤜🏻👊🏻✊🏻🤛🏻🖖🏻
It is a rare and beautiful thing. I am in awe of the love that they share. What a beautiful little piece of heaven they have built for themselves. Wishing them every happiness. 💗

"It's hard not to be completely in love with the design and construction of this amazing shipping container home." It's hard not to be in love with these two people!!!!!!!!!!!
I was brought to tears by their story and by their dedication to one another. Finding joy and gratitude is the ultimate beauty in life. Their home reflects this beauty and I love it!
Absolutely. And I'm sad I don't have any... No Balkony, no Terrace (not that the views we'd get would be THAT great anyway). Thankfully tough we have a very nice, very quiet public Garden around 3 walking Minutes away. However, autum is here, winter is comming... Ain't gonna go outside unless I HAVE to. Fucking hate the cold weather, makes me more depressed and miserable then anything else to be in the cold.
What a beautiful and totally grounded couple. They work so well as a unit and to come through their tribulations with such positive and upbeat spirits is encouraging to one and all. Good job Bryce!
Dave doesn't seem like he's had a stroke, he's very strong and articulate. Having a half built house was obviously a major part of his therapy and a great success. A lovely property.
You can tell. It's very slight, but if you've ever heard people who have recovered from strokes, there's a lack of crispness around certain consonants. A fantastic rehabilitation! Love what she said about choosing joy.
Beautiful home and Beautiful couple. I hope they are blessed with many more wonderful years in their "tiny" home but their "huge" love for each other! I enjoy the inspirational stories so much. Makes a person realize how blessed they truly are. Great choice Bryce and Rasa, thanks so much!!
What a scary yet beautiful story! I hope to live tiny one day! I live in a townhome mortgage free but I am living with a horrible painful disease and taking care of my home is hard for me. I think a tiny home would be perfect for me. Finding the right land to put it on has been challenging.
I like these small houses...but i would want to live in a small place like that alone. These small homes are always with couples...where the lady does most of the talking..wonder why that is.
I dont know but, the way they look at each other and the way they hold each other’s hands I can really feel that their love is genuine. A challenge that made them stronger and gave them more reason to appreciate everything. You guys are beautiful. You are an inspiration. God bless you both💓
I had to stop the video at 6 minutes and 26 seconds to give God a praise! I'm just sitting here looking at tiny home videos because it's my dream thing to do and here goes a word from God! I have recently been feeling very down and out and sad about life and I got a word from this couple. Joy is not ever present, YOU CHOOSE TO BE JOYFUL! Thank you for sharing!
It wasn't the prettiest butttt you can feel the love, and what that man went through and Having to use the construction of their house as therapy was just so touching !!! Even if the decor is ugly which I wouldn't say that, I'm saying IF**** It STILL deserves a like because of their story... IMHO
Yeah I agree. Majority of materialistic crap you simply don't need. Satisfaction and mastery of Body and Mind is FAR more pleasurable and rewarding; simply because it takes discipline. You can't sell that.
I love this couple more than I love this home; and I'm really loving the home! Nice job you two on your beautiful home and your beautiful relationship! ❤

It’s just not only a sweet aesthetic home, it’s a paradise of love!
Oh! What a beauty!
As 25 years, married lady, "This is marriage". Smiling and teary-eyed.
Yes .kontener
Absolutely. The most impressive part about this video is this wonderful woman who stood by her husbands side through thick and thin. What a great woman!! That's the kind of woman I'd like to be with. Not some materialistic woman.
If only the other 99% of women weren’t taken over by feminism.
Wish I could find someone to go off grid with... Seems impossible.... Peace.....
@@SnookOnTheFly feminism isn't bad, feminists want women to be equal to men.
Came here to see a tiny house, left with a feeling of love, watery eyes and just another moment to realize life is precious. Love well
"This was my best friend", this line spells out what true love between couples should be like.
Love the home and the couple. Smaller appliances more space
Me too 😢😭❤️🥰
This is the first couple that actually explained how they got to be debt free. You would never guess anything was ever wrong with him. His recovery is truly a miracle!
i really love how they are holding hands like 90% of the time, even when he was making hang gestures, they were holding hands.
Yes, this couple has what most have dreamed of their whole lives♥️
I don't like holding hands. It gives me claustrophobia. I know, I'm a Debbie Downer. Sorry.
Jijie Forsythe
Wanna come over and hold hands?
Who else would really like a tour of their garage/workshop?
oh yes please
Sure!!
Yeah. I was hoping they’d go in there. He may have had some equipment that he didn’t want to expose.
1sm08 haaa yes please. I was hoping there would be another video of garage and where the now a man son lives.
Yeees
I stopped caring about the house after listening to what they went through! Such a beautiful and strong couple
Lol the wife talks enough for the both of them... she’s too cute!! God is so amazing...such a sweet couple
Don't most of us women do that?! But that is what makes it irritatingly cute.🤩🤭
I see her hubby lets her talk and is happy with it. You know, no interruption.
Jolly Jokress yeah! I swear they’re so cute together & very well balanced
I love it when my wife just keeps on talking all day while I just stand there and think about how I'm going to bang her tonight.
She explains on her blog that a lot of what he said was edited out because in certain parts he was slurring and stuttering his words due to his brain injury. Bryce and Rasa were kind to edit those parts out because there are mean people on social media that are not very kind and can make mean comments.
I love everything about it even the floor. The best part is she still has her best friend.
“You choose to be joyful!” Those words will stay with me forever. I am so inspired by your story. Wishing you both all the best.
Cliche!!!!
@@m.t.426only until you live it.
I was just binge-watching tiny houses, why am I crying now?
Were you chopping onions?
Exactly
😭😭😭 same! But I love a truly heart centered story full of love, passion, and persistence.

I love how he said, " we're blessed". Would love to meet this beautiful couple!
I sooo agree❣️

Jaimie & Dave....You two are amazing. I love your home and wish for you many blessings. ♥
The story of this couple is an outstanding example of how true love and partnership can overcome everything and achieve anything! The home is cute, the outdoors has come out of a fairytale. Thank you for sharing!
You're so sweet vanesha....
You can tell she is used to being his voice through the hemorrhage. Sticking together as a couple... true love guys.

I can never understand why people thumbs down these videos? It's wonderful seeing people building their own homes in various ways.
Some people doesn't know how it work I tell you 🤣😂
I love how enthusiastic this presenter is! He's always so positive
I mean, look at the job he has..
This episode should be entitled: "Things that matter"
Yes that would be the correct title .. absolute truth

Gorgeous…the landscape is so breathtaking! You will always be on a perpetual vacation. Thank you for sharing.
. . 'this was (is) my best friend' when discussing how she took care of him in the hospital. I cried . .
Lovely shes a good wife
It made me cry, too! What a story! Such an awesome space. Such a miracle. They are such hard workers. Not everyone could do it. I love it. ❤️ I wish my husband could have survived his brain bleed. But I’m so thankful God gave us 45 years together as a team, with many adventures to enjoy. Our last year together turned out to be a grand finale, though we had no idea it would be that. Life is fragile, and it makes a huge difference to have joy in the journey. This couple are such dears. 💕
I know I felt tears down my face lol to

The fact that he stood there, in the driveway, waiting for her....and then as soon as she was in arm's reach he collapsed. "I was waiting for you before I fell asleep." Holy snap. God had his arms around him, holding him up 😭❤🙏

Your comment made me cry 😭😭😭 seriously it touched me.
Yeah, I gotta admit, that had me just a itsy bit misty eyed. Just a smidge!
Hallelujah
I lost it when I heard that part 😭
“You don’t have to go anywhere when this is your home”... so true... once you have a homestead, there’s just no place you’d rather be. Some people just have no idea what that’s like.
Facts a place with peace
Exactly like you dont have to even bother to take any vacations most homesteads have trails or have some type of water nearby and so much land to roam, way different than living in a city
Im working towards it.
I think the reality is that many people simply don't have the opportunity to have that kind of home (homestead).
@@el7jake That's exactly right. There isn't enough land in the world for everyone to live in this kind of way. It's nice for those privileged enough to be able to, but it's not affordable or practical for everyone.
Tears, smiles, and total admiration for their love and devotion to each other, and the home they built together! 🙏🏽✌🏽💖
I'm sending you strength and perseverance. God bless you and your family.

God bless you, sister. You are an Angel.
When she said those words... I felt that
“This is my best friend” are you serious they’re so adorable and so in love😭
As soon as I herd that I looked at the comments 😂😂
It's not the tiny house but their great big love and comittment to each other.
Jacqueline Rogers that’s what I thought.
This inspired me to appreciate my husband more because he's so hard working and committed to his family .
Imagine having this type of love that both of y'all are willing to risk everything for eachother. It amazes me how much this couple has 💚💚💚
It is a rare and beautiful thing. I am in awe of the love that they share. What a beautiful little piece of heaven they have built for themselves. Wishing them every happiness. 💗
Some of us, we go our whole lives never finding our soul mates, so you love the one your with.
This couple touched my heart. Seeing them holding hands I soon realised these are hands of gratitude.
@Firsthgyhgyhuy Lastujhujhuj Says enough about you, I think.
*House is made out of bricks and beams, home is made out of hopes and dreams.” Learned that In grade 4 and now I understand why is called so. Beautiful story !
I LIKE THE when you said HOME IS MADE OUT OF HOPES & DREAMS
When I get married, I want a relationship like you guys have....so much love, friendship, warmth and creativeness. More blessings to both of you.
This was certainly a joyful tear jerker, they have a wonderful story.
Thank you for sharing this.
"It's hard not to be completely in love with the design and construction of this amazing shipping container home."
It's hard not to be in love with these two people!!!!!!!!!!!
Their children, grandchildren would love to hear their story every time. Love conquers all.
I was brought to tears by their story and by their dedication to one another. Finding joy and gratitude is the ultimate beauty in life. Their home reflects this beauty and I love it!
People with DIY skills are absolutely amazing
You would be surprised to know I'm positive that you have skills unknown
Beautiful, house, but most importantly, the beautiful and generous energy that you can feel from these two human beings. Thank you!
I live in a terrace flat, trust me, outdoor space is such a blessing to have. It heals you, it truly does. A slice of peace.
Beautiful couple and Beautiful Testimony!! God has Blessed and I'm glad for them!
What a beautiful and totally grounded couple. They work so well as a unit and to come through their tribulations with such positive and upbeat spirits is encouraging to one and all. Good job Bryce!
Thanks Line! They really are such a lovely and inspiring couple. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Thanks so much Libby! 💗
What a scary yet beautiful story! I hope to live tiny one day! I live in a townhome mortgage free but I am living with a horrible painful disease and taking care of my home is hard for me. I think a tiny home would be perfect for me. Finding the right land to put it on has been challenging.
This lady speaks so eloquently! She should be a motivational speaker! great couple !!!
This home really cool... But more I liked that how she stood up with him... Both supporting each other in hard times... Dats really awesome.
"That's" not dats...........
I like these small houses...but i would want to live in a small place like that alone. These small homes are always with couples...where the lady does most of the talking..wonder why that is.
I'm shocked she stood by him...

I do not understand how people can “dislike” this video, such void they must have.
I really liked their story an obviously their home!
Because the interior was quite ugly. I liked the exterior, though
It wasn't the prettiest butttt you can feel the love, and what that man went through and Having to use the construction of their house as therapy was just so touching !!! Even if the decor is ugly which I wouldn't say that, I'm saying IF****
It STILL deserves a like because of their story... IMHO
You must live in a void having something so trivial which bothers you enough to comment your feelings about it lol
I didn’t say it bothered me at all. I just said I did not understand how or why people disliked it overall. Cheers!
@Taps fan thing is it clearly didn't upset me, just made me literally laugh out loud. ;)
"we off the treadmill, we don't need more stuff." - Simple but great truth.
Yeah I agree.
Majority of materialistic crap you simply don't need. Satisfaction and mastery of Body and Mind is FAR more pleasurable and rewarding; simply because it takes discipline.
You can't sell that.
This isn't just a tiny home story but also a friendship & love story 😭🙌💜💛
People like this are the sole reason to wake up with a smile on your face every morning! Bless you both and your awesome home.
The way they look at each other while she is talking and explaining, she is speaking for both of them as one.
I love this couple more than I love this home; and I'm really loving the home! Nice job you two on your beautiful home and your beautiful relationship! ❤
