Phillip Seymour Hoffman is still the most memorable, electric, fury-inducing villain to date. Definitely. But this villain takes second place.
Are you a time traveler? How tf does your comment say you posted it 1 year ago when this video was just uploaded 8 days ago. 🤯
@@maybachyardthis one isn't as good as the dude from 2

Just luv Rebecca Ferguson in this franchise.
10:35 Fun fact: Benji is playing Halo 5 on his computer at work. Rogue Nation released and premiered in July of 2015. Halo 5 officially released in October later that year. So his character most likely got early access to the game using his skills or he somehow managed to make a deal with Microsoft to get his copy of the game and promote it briefly in the movie.
The Hitchcockian assassination scene in the Opera House set to "Turandot" is one of my favorite scenes ever in all of cinema.
The leg raise by RF is breathtaking. Great legs, obviously, but the framing is just silly good.
Brilliant set piece 😊
@@TrzaGoesHardshe’s hardcore 😊
How the f is that Hitchcockian? You wanna sound smart by throwing words around? There is no suspense and nothing in that scene, it is an above average action sequence at best. Go read up on what Hitchcockian usually means before spouting disrespectful nonsense.
@@TrzaGoesHardbut mostly, great legs
Rebecca Ferguson was a great edition to the franchise
I love her character and she was perfect for the role.
This and the next one are so damn good.
Always love it when the action takes place in places I’ve actually been to like Vienna.
My favourite of the series! Rebecca Ferguson is the perfect Ilsa. Fallout is a close second though so I’m looking forward to the next reaction
Holy shit. I just realized the actor playing the British PM is the same actor who played Beckett in the Pirates of the Caribbean films.
Rebecca Ferguson… say no more! My favorite MI so far. Tom keeps moving the bar out of reach. You guys always have a great reaction. Thanks.
Rogue Nation is my favorite of the franchise. Great story, action sequences, dialogue and pacing. Plus a better villain then Ghost Protocol had. Ilsa Faust is an amazing addition as well and Rebecca Ferguson kills it.
I love Rebecca Ferguson in everything, especially her as Ilsa Faust. But it's a shame they...😭
@@hazri8758yeah bro Fr 😭 I hope she yk
My fav too
Rebecca Ferguson is such a badass. Perfect for this role!
Either this or Ghost Protocol are my favourite, though adding Rebecca Ferguson in this one doesn't hurt....
To me, this is the best MI movie. Yeah, people love fallout, ghost protocol or even dead reckoning part 1, but I love it mainly because while the set pieces are legit amazing, they sorta take a backseat and the espionage/tension takes the center stage, and we get Ilsa Faust, who is one of the best characters in the franchise.
Rebecca Ferugson is the best fucking addition to a franchise ever.
Lane is the best villain by far imo. Shoutout PSH though.
Rogue Nation and Fallout are top tier Spy/Thriller type of action movies.
This film got acclaim and was very successful but I feel like it tends to be looked at as a lesser entry for some reason by the fans when I actually think it's one of the better ones. This one is great because it feels like a Hitchcock action-thriller. Which is a different feel from the other entries
For me, it’s the best one.
The first film was directed by Brian DePalma, who specialized in Hitchcockian thrillers, and I think he brought his trademark suspense building, especially in the Langley scenes, in that one. The second film was heavy and the action and the cheese, but had a subplot of the female lead infiltrating the badguys world, which was right out of Hitchcock's Notorious. So I think the spirit of Hitchcock and his influence is felt throughout many of these films, not just this one. This one is looked down on because it feels like a cut and paste, paint by numbers M:I movie. I still enjoy it, though. Dead Reckoning is my new personal favorite.
Way better than the new one
@@thomasanderson2384Hellllllll no!
The underwater stuff was done by Cruise too and broke a world record for most time underwater without gear (or something along those lines) until Kate Winslet broke it in Avatar 2
Sean Harris plays the villain Solomon Lane and that's how he sounds in real life his voice is very raspy. Solomon is also the best Mission Impossible villain in the series in my opinion.
I loved the whole dynamic between Renner and Baldwin’s characters in this movie especially when it comes full circle at the end.
So excited to have y'all react to Fallout! Rebecca Ferguson is such a force!
After this film, the MI formula is now different. Christopher McQuarrie (who directed RN) will be taking over the reigns of director for the next films you’ll be watching. So no more different directors per movie. McQuarrie’s here and he’s here to stay. Still a bit of a shame we won’t see Jeremy Renner again in the MI films. I liked him
This is still my personal favourite in the series. I know other installments go arguably bigger, but I just like the flow of this one. Plus Rebecca Ferguson shows up. Love her character. And Baldwin's character's whole mini-arc is really funny to me. And it has the second best villain in the series.
"Why you hanging off planes? We got effects now!" Seriously, though. There's a stunt in the next movie that's even crazier, and they filmed it so perfectly that it actually kind of looks fake. Without a doubt, using a green screen and one of those camera motion control robots would have produced an identical result. I guess they get extra hype from the knowledge that the stunts are practical.
I'm quite the sap for action films. I like the fast paced, heart-stopping sequences. Rogue Nation does not disappoint.
22:42 The breath-holding challenge was entertaining. XD Everyone definitely did that in theaters too.
Fun fact: Tom Cruise held the record for holding his breath underwater for 6 minutes thanks to this film
This record has now been beaten and actress Kate Winslet is now the new record-holder. In Avatar: The Way of Water, Zoe Saldana held her breath for about 5 minutes, Sigourney Weaver came in at about 6 and a half minutes, and Kate held her breath for over 7 minutes and about 47 seconds.
Apparently this film was designed like a video game where set pieces came before story.
The director had the crew find cool looking locations, they’d brainstorm action scenes that could take place there, and then they would write a story around the set pieces.
And that’s crazy because a lot of stories that go like that people don’t like as much, but this movie is almost universally loved
@@drumaticpageofmusic4148 Gets even crazier when you find out the ending was thrown together last minute. They didn't have enough money left for a big action scene so they wound up going with a simple foot chase instead.
@@jstarwars360 damn, color me impressed. 🤣
Can’t wait for Fallout! This series just keeps getting better
fuck yeah, love ilsa! idk anyone else who could pull off that color green, either
This is the greatest action franchise of all time.
5 of the 6 movies are great, only 2 is weak and Fallout IMO is the best of the series. Can't wait for you guys to review that one
Renner sadly only did two MI movies as he went to MCU full time so Disney gave him a better contract and took full custody of him. Once Disney + Marvel takes you there is no turning back. Tom Holland went to Apple+ because the Russo brothers produced BOTH the projects he did with Apple TV. If it wasn't for the Russo brothers Tom wouldn't have gotten any other project with another studio. Also, you guys will love the villain in Fallout and Dead Reckoning 😀both films have a Female villain. Great actors. You will recognize couple names in Fallout, one of my favorite film in the series. The helicopter action sequence is INSANE!! P.S- Tom Cruise drove the helicopter 😅I was in panic mode throughout that whole scene in the cinema hahaha.
Solomon Lane is probably my favourite spy villain. Clever, plans within plans, and the actor does a fantastic job. He always gives an unsettling performance as a villain. He's fantastic.
I didn't really like his voice, but I definitely liked Lane as a villain, way more than the guy from the 4th movie.
The best one in my opinion... and the way we think "I don't trust her" because she is being too nice... the she does something bad and we go "no... I trust her now..."
Why some comments are a year ago?
Is the Mission Impossible reaction a year old? Lol
😂 I was thinking same thing.
Yeah, that surprised me. I didn't think that Patreon had this a whole year early.
I saw another reaction channel just post this so maybe the copyright/embargo blocking it expired (not totally sure how it works lol).
And they also dont read comments i have requested them to react “The Bear” 32 times everyday since Season 2 came out they just don’t care even i subscribed them in patreon for few years so dont need to subscribe those contents will upload on youtube anyways no benefit subbing patreon
Which MI movie is this again? Is it the Mission Impossible: Rebecca Ferguson's legs and Sean Harris' raspy voice one?
My favorite Mission Impossible! Hell yes.
13:48 The guy who is fighting with Tom Cruise on the stage is Wolfgang Stegemann, Eastwood's fight choreographer.
Loved this movie, especially the background music❤, underwater scene was damn adrenaline rush
2:34 - Another reaction channel, Popcorn in Bed, got invited to see Dead Reckoning Pt 1, and not only did they meet Tom Cruise, he instantly recognized them and it was a whole thing. There's some great footage of it on their channel. Not to advertise, it's just that there's a lot of Tom Cruise being candid and he's not Ethan Hunt.
20:30 You actually didn't show the scene in the reaction video... but fun fact about the moment when Benji sat down and they brainstormed him getting to put on a mask.
That scene was filmed with NO CGI at all. If you look carefully, how they filmed it behind the scenes was impressive.
So the man that's helping Simon Pegg put on the mask is actually Tom Cruise's double; notice how his face isn't in the camera shot. As it rotates, you see Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa standing and watching with an impressed look. You can see her shoulder and arm reflection in the mirror in the movie but that is also her double standing back to back behind the wall. The camera then finishes rotating and you see Tom Cruise in the shot. The real actor that plays the agent that Benji impersonates with the mask is sitting there with the real Tom Cruise. So the camera ends up being behind Simon Pegg's shoulder where it looks like Ethan is helping Benji adjust the mask when in the "mirror reflection" the real actor and Tom Cruise are copying what Simon Pegg and Tom's double are doing. A little bit of camera trickery there and voila, a scene that required no CGI in post-production.
It's similar to the Vatican scene in the third film when Ethan was putting on Damian's face mask that they had just made. You can see that once Tom puts on the mask, they have to make some adjustments to make it fit properly and Luthor is helping Ethan physically get into character. All they had to do after a specific moment and cut of the scene was just swap out Tom for Phillip Seymour Hoffman to make it look like a fast and impressive disguise transition.
Interesting.
This mirror reflection trick you described is similar, if I remember correctly, to something done in one of the Terminator films (maybe T2?).
I recommend Tom Cruise again in A Few Good Men 👍.
And The Firm!
7:34 well the Mission Impossible movies put Rebecca Ferguson. Her character of Ilsa Faust is one of the strongest female characters out there without the need to push unnecessary agendas. And she steals every scene in this movie, and probably steals the entire movie in the next movie Fallout.
a suggestion for a future react, mostly for a Halloween theme month. Doctor sleep, it also has Rebecca Ferguson in it.
REBECCA FERGUSON WAS GREAT IN THE MOVIE!
holding your breath is largely mental. panic signals go out when you still have like 80% oxygen left but co2 is building up so your brain is like you need to expel this so you have to learn to withstand that panic
Tom Cruise actually trained to hold his breath for the underwater scene to the point where he actually held it for 6 minutes so they could film the scene without cuts.
THink the couch would have alot of fun watching Tom Cruise in Interview with a Vampire maybe as a Halloween season reaction
They are so crazy with the way they are ending these reactions.
The world record for underwater breath holding is 24 and a half minutes Kate winslet actually held her breath for 7mintues for avatar 2 tom held it for 6 minutes for this
Owen Davian & Solomon Lane are the best two villains in the whole franchise.
The editing has become comically amazing
AHHH LOOK OUT!
The stakes continue to increase with each entry in the franchise. And this one truly upped the ante.
you guys should definitely gather up anyone that hasnt seen Edge of Tomorrow that would be great
or if too many Normies have seen that one then maybe do Oblivion which was another fun sci fi movie with Tom Cruise
man dont showt this to a Scientoglist, or they might go fishing lol
lol its always fun watching movies a second time with a different group of people
ROGUE NATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"AHHHHH LOOK OUT"
YES ROGUE NATION!
I'm so confused, why are there comments from a year ago?
Rebecca is badass !!!!!!!
Mission impossible 6 movie reaction please 💓💗💖💞🤘
You edited out the best scene 🥲 "Ethan Hunt is the living manifestation destiny".
I hope they bring Jeremy Renner for the next movie
Please transformers rise of the beasts movie please
Love the Grogu pillow
Aahh, my favorite mission impossible movie
All of MI movies are great but this one is my favorite by a country mile!
Probably between this and Ghost Protocol for my overall favorites of the franchise. Rebecca Ferguson might put this one over the top she was such a good addition.
SPOILERS FOR THE LATEST
I was pissed they killed her off.
Kinda f***** up how they constantly mock Sean Harris's face and voice when that's just how he looks and sounds.
I had a lot of trouble deciding whether 4 5 or 6 is my favorite and I'm starting to settle on 6 (Fallout). But I can understand anyone who picks anything except 2.
TOM CRUISE = LEGEND
Micky's cup looked like a candle holder; So I freaked a bit when he drank from it.😆

24:15 girl 😂😂😂
Maybe do like 5 minutes of reading about scientology before praising tom cruise
fun fact. The plane scene at the start along with one in Fallout was filmed 5 minutes from m y house xD
Let’s keep it real….Scientology is just as absurd as the other religions lol
Sunt, Punt, Munt & Runt. Glad Chris wasn't there....
30:54 That Sean Harris impression is hysterical 🤣.
Rumor has it that Marvel Studios originally wanted Tom Cruise as Iron Man but he turned it down. I think it would really cool to see that in the multiverse.
Good work with the gym, Pat. The results are showing. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Managed to hold my breath for 1.40! Maybe cause I never smoked in my life 🤷
Is this reaction a First Time Watching video?
22:34 what the hellll.... hahahahahahahahahaha !

held his breath for 6 minutes right?
Holding your breath for over a full minute is impressive, most trained Navy Seals can only hold their breath, while exerting themselves, for 1-2 minutes but the best ones can get up to 3-55 minutes.
Scientology is really out there, but its not exactly the only religion with farfetched beliefs, but Tom Cruise's movies have no faith based messages he keeps his personal beliefs separate from the movies he works on, with the movie Valkyrie, which was inspired by real events, the family of the character Tom was portraying , as well as some German government officials, were worried about him being in the movie because of his connection to Scientology, Tom meet with the family after which they felt comfortable with him playing the part. From what I've seen the only actors who inject religious messages into their work are mostly Christian, actors who have a strong faith in Christianity will even go so far as to leave Hollywood to make movies independently or on cable where the whole movie centers around their faith, not saying it's a bad thing only that again Tom Cruise keeps things professional with his movies.
I wish humans had that type of red box....to access unlimited money...and to separate it to Normal people accounts...
My personal favorites are 6,5,4,3,2,1. Hahahahaha this mf makes eache one better than the last one and thats something 😅
This is the best one by far
Tom cruise actually held his breath through that while scene he actually trained for that sequence he can hold his breath for six minutes he broke a record until Kate Winslet broke his record for Titanic at 7:47 seconds
"Assasin-ception" 😂
i agree with micki i really like tom cruise as an actore and he has aged so well but i am not into scientology however on a personal level there could still be something we both agree on
Where tf is the aot finale reaction ?
This series is far more consistently good than the Bond one
